This is so stupid. Whoever designed this car is a complete idiot and clearly didn’t think of the severity of the situation people are faced with all because they want to hide the manual key entry. I literally wasted my time trying to figure out something that could’ve easily been avoided by simply leaving the key hole visible or buy making it easier and a “no-brainer” to access. If I have to go to TH-cam University to access my vehicle (without me being the cause ie leaving my key in the car) then that’s a design flaw and safety issue. Stuck outside a store in a not so safe neighborhood for almost an hour due to this. It’s just not ok. Clearly I’m upset. And now I feel better.

My 2011 locks the door over and over and over I can unlock it to get my son from the back car seat and by the time I walk around the car it lock again

How do you get cover back over the key entry properly after removing it?
Currently having this issue.. my cover is not on properly , I thinks it's stuck
Pull & hold the door handle to allow space for the cover/cap and navigate back into place. Release handle, you are all set!

I usually don't respond about this 4 years video. But its funny that you say that because this video was NOT intended for the general public. I made it for a customer I sold a few years ago when the car was first released. I guess I should take it down at this point I thought it helped other people but its seems to only attract negative comments these days. The video is real, the car is real, & I am still alive. Answering your question thought, I didn't need to show someone how to put a key in a key hole.

how do you unlock from inside with a dead battery 2018 traverse. My neighbor siad car died from dead battery while driving due to bad alternator and he was trapped inside - could not unlock from inside.
If you pull on the handle from inside twice it will unlock the door.

What do you do if you put it back on wrong?
pull and hold the handle while pulling on the cover. This should release the cover. If you still hold the handle you can make adjustments to the cover placement.

Excellent on how to get in with “dead” key fob. Now, how do I “start” the car. Getting in is no use unless I can start the car.
Great video, I tried to put it back on but it’s not going in right. Now the key won’t even remove the piece for me to try again, and I think it’s because when I try to lock the door it just unlock again because of it. What can I do?
Pull on the handle and hold the out extended the car while placing the cap back into place. That will give you enough space for the anchor to the cap to go back in the door handle spacing
Autonation Chevrolet during my scheduled oil change can't even put the proper amount of air in my tires, or take their tools out before they close my hood. They are probably not cleaning and sanitizing anything either. Might have to start getting my oil changed here at Dimmit Chevrolet.

They should've left a keyhole in the first place, instead of covering it up. Now what if the push button start doesn't work, there should be a spare spot where you could start the vehicle.
place the fob in the cup holder than press the start button to start the vehicle if the battery ever deads in the fob
