Project Corolla: Brakes and More!
Video number two of the Rolla. We get the brakes done and go over all the other small things we have done to the car to get it back up to speed. This by no means a video on how to do brakes, just showing how I did. hope you enjoy!

Where did you learn to do breaks?
bro just throw a video and disapeared
We got another one coming probably this weekend! Update 2 on the Speed Rolla
How did you do in the turtle trot 5km?
29 min🤣
You guys did an amazing job detailing that car it looks professional, also i’m glad you guys didn’t just cut corners and actually removed the seats for a full interior cleaning. I would’ve never known it was ever dirty on the inside so again amazing😀
Thanks!!!
Can we get a croc detailing video
We've got multiple to choose from, great idea
Let’s goooo!!!
So much done in so little time! 🎉
What are you lifted on? Is that the silver sky metallic color?
Skyjacker leveling kit! And it's desert sand mica
Let us know if you find better transmission for 1st generation Toyota Tundra. Thank you in advance.
I believe there are shift kits for the 4 speed transmission that helps a lot
More videos of these trailing please
I like it!!
Man shut the fuck up you complain too much then why do you have a Tundra? Why didn’t you buy fucking American like a dumbass you are
Nice rig man, what did you use to delete the chrome on the bumpers and side trim?
Plasti dip. Take your time and do it right by masking like half the truck and put lots of layers on and it's fantastic stuff.
Me and my dad both have one and when mom and dad babysit they have no complaints about the size dad is 6’3” 4 speed is standard in 2003 your complaints are based on an opinion after you’ve seen 2nd gen tundras. Toyota did a fantastic job with this truck. 2uzfe is stout as hell
Interior space is small in the access cab for sure. And yes absolutely comparing to modern vehicles. And 2uz's are bulletproof motors. Suspension design isn't ideal but it is a great truck
318k on my 2005 4.7 4x4 Only thing i hate is that they used a timing belt
Haha true that
@@tompkee9 O and frame rust
@@tacoman864 I've got none of that, being in Nevada. We don't even use road salt. We use a sand type. My 03 has a pristine frame
@@tompkee9 alot of people would envy you lol. I looked at one the other day that was Swiss Cheese
@@tacoman864 oh yeah I've got two tundras worth some money right now lol
I got a 05 Toyota Tundra and I love it. It was my grandpas but I was able to buy it from him last year. It only has 157k miles on it and has had only 1 issue which was the thermostat and I just got that changed about 3 weeks ago. The only thing I don’t like is the back seat space since I have a lot of fishing equipment. But to deal with all the fishing equipment I have I just put most of the big rods in bed since I got a high rise canopy. Also it’s mine starts up with no issues at all even if it’s 20 degrees out. I got a couple vids of it cold starting if you wanna check it out
I got one too, 2003, off road bumpers, upgraded all the lights to LED, camper, so fender flares, I would say around 7k or so. So far it's only 80k miles original motor and transmission, I definitely love Toyotas
Sounds like a sweet truck👍👍
hey do ur tires rub and do u run spacers
Tires rub at full crank in reverse and foward
@@tompkee9 damn really I just did my lift kit and I hear some rubbing when I make regular turns I also add spacers and have u made any cuts to the body of the truck?
@@ronaldbonilla2805 it's your spacers that are causing you to rub. The more tucked your tire is , the less rubbing you will have I have done no modifications for tire rub. I still have the little mud flaps
Love mine but the rear brakes and parking brake suck.
That is true, my parking brake isn't bad but the rear drums aren't very good
Thanks for the upload. Is the fabric on your door panels getting loose? It is on my 03 with almost 100k miles. Not looking forward to re doing it.🤞🏼
It's not getting loose ,but there are wear marks from me resting my leg against It
@@tompkee9 It’s probably the extreme heat we have in S. Louisiana. I’ll definitely need a spray adhesive that’s heat resistant.
@@tompkee9 One more thing, your floor matts fit like a glove. Are they from Weather-Tech ? I just ordered some and hope they fit like yours do.
@@Ojb_1959 yeah they are weather techs, love them
@@tompkee9 cool, Thx👊🏼
Where’d you get the weather techs?
I got them from a local truck accessories place
are all tundras automatics?
Yes, they never had a manual option for the truck
@@tompkee9 thanks im currently driving a 2000 tacoma which i love, but needing a bigger truck for work.
@@MrAddison79 first gens are amazing
They just jealous man, fuck them,I have the same truck 2002 sr5 v8 access cab,180K miles on it,drives like brand new and its not slow at all, embarrassed a lot of trucks lol
Hahaha mines done the same
Nice truck I have the same 2002 v8 4wd ,where can I find the same tires and wheels?
Carid.com!
Still have the truck?
No upgraded to a 14
You still have the Tundra?
It's my dad's now, I upgraded to a 14
Not really impressed with your review of the 2003 Tundra. I bought mine new with 48 miles on it. I don't have any issues with it regarding the problems that you discuss. I bought it for what it was at the time and It is by far the best truck I have ever had. I traded 3 Ford F-150s for it after Ford tried to screw me on the trade-in. I just turned over to 210K-highway and off road miles. Considering that Toyota was competing with the Ford Ranger and Dodge Dakota at the time, I think the vehicle is miles ahead as far as durability and reliability. I keep thinking that I would like to buy a new Tundra but it would be a huge change.
I definitely love that old truck, it really is bullet proof, gave it to my dad and it had 186k on it. I'm in a new tundra now and it's incredible how nice it is
You should do an r150f swap!
very help full video, ik its 5 years later but still luv this old truck
Definitely a great truck
Sleeping sounds............
hey im trying to put a new head unit into my tundra that is exactly the same as yours but did you have problems with the wire harness adapter?
Nope, what's the issue?
@@tompkee9 none of the wire harness adapters fit i bought several and none have worked where did you get yours?
@@elnr2196 so they actually are correct , in the dash follow the wires for the head unit down behind the climate control ,there will be another set of plugs , that's where they go, I did the same thing at first
I own the same truck. Please tell me about your radio upgrade. Did you also upgrade the speakers?
Right now I have a Sony headunit with apple carplay and Android auto , two pioneer speakers upfront and an Alpine 8" under the seat sub , under the driver seat , as well as dynomat through out the doors back and bottom of cab
who that stupid looking dude with the camera
bro cant hear you through the wind dah fuck
Be careful if you have spacer blocks in the shock tower to give it the lift. I had an 02 Tundra that I installed 2" spacer blocks which put stress on the ball joints. After 6 years they gave way and my brother had an accident at 45mph. No serious injury but the truck was totaled. Also, one of the tie rods was broken. If ur ball joints and tie rods are stock u should carefully check and replace if they have never been replaced.
Yeah tie rods will probably need to be done soon, and I just put OEM new lower ball joints on the truck maybe 15,000 miles ago
Am I missing something? You said you have $500 into the stereo, not including the head unit which was like another $100 for a total of approximately $600. You say a) you got 2 free door speakers from friend’s stepmom, and b) you didn’t replace the tweeters or the rear 6.5’s and c) you got an 8” under seat alpine sub. That’s all, right? So how in the hell did you get to $600? Did you pay $500 for that alpine sub?
The 3 dents in the tailgate jumped out at me...
Same here
Like a mountain lion...
That look good
Aye man! Nice first gen!
Those mountains in the back are beautiful!!! 😍
they really are. I try not to take them for granted
Nice truck mine is lifted also I guess I’m opposite I get compliments on my 2000 tundra 33 inch Bfgs flow master super 44 pioneer deck kicker speakers!!
Nice! Definitely love mine

I've got some big exhaust work coming my way soon I think

Pro comp 05's on Goodyear duratracs
I know this is a 2 year old video but i have the same truck down here in Georgia. you should really invest in a cold air intake. mines just a cheap $80 kit off of amazon, didn’t expect a whole bunch out of it but it makes the world of difference. and how’s yours do out in the snow with only 2wd? does the trd locker do pretty decent in snow?
Nice I have family in Georgia , 2wd I'm the snow is rough with now weight over the rear ,but I just put it in 4wd and it eats snow expecially with the Duratracs, almost unstoppable in the snow. I've thought about doing a CAI also
