Nice but who wants to take off the skid plate to get to the oil filter every time you do an oil change ? Most after market skid plates have an access door for the oil filter and is one of the main reasons why people replace the skid plate to begin with. Thanks for the good tips about the bolts and motorcycle jack though.

75 miles on my 24' MT07, I started hearing this noise this morning then checked the chain slack right when I got home from work, sure enough it stretched. Glad to see it's a common thing among other MT07 owners. Great video bub.

Man that place looks awesome! Here in NC, we typically hit the off road beach access with the Raptor, but there's a nice place a few hours west, old route 105 that has some very similar views, but higher up the mountains. Uwharrie National forest has trails, but most will destroy your rig if you're not careful. I grew up in N. Florida and the Osceola National forest has some great trails too...have had my 2021 Raptor down there and did a video on it. Like you I'm not looking for crazy rock crawling stuff, just enjoyable trails. Anyways, thanks for taking us with you!

Ha...rock chip...FREE! About spit my coffee out after seeing that. Man I hate rock chips. Recently picked up our 2024 4Runner ORP and on the way to adding some changes. Great channel... got a new sub today. I'll probably have some content with the 4Runner on my channel at some point, but mostly my content is firearm related. I do have stuff from my hunting/outdoor adventures, boat as well as my Ford Raptors though. Anyways, great to have found yours.

If this has not already been answered, if you drive with the back window down...the smell is coming from the exhaust. An air backdraft is occurring as you accelerate so it sucks the exhaust in through the back window. This is explained on the 4runner forums and Toyota recommends you don't drive with the back window down for that reason. Hope that helps. If you must drive with the window down, perhaps having a side window also down would help move the air flow out the back.

I have not experienced the sulfur smell with my 22 but my 04 one did that a lot and I can tell you what made a world of difference... when I took it in to get Flowmaster put on I explained what was happening and we decided to turn my pipe. Most go straight out the back and usually suck that sulfur crap back into you truck through that back window. If you get your pipe turned to the side instead of straight you will not have that problem. I had my 04 for almost 20 years and so glad I did that because that smell was something horrible especially getting on the interstate. I love driving with my back window down. My only complaint with my 22 is the cargo area has no hidden compartments on the sidewalls. My old one had the actual doors that closed it off. I am still trying to figure out what to do with stuff without having it loose in the back.

Interesting. When I upgraded my suspension on my orp, that shimmy disappeared. But the loose steering is an off road advantage, not a bad thing. Never had the sulfur smell, and I finally replaced my muffler with a magnaflow overland one. Weird. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

It gets better I’ve had mines for a month now it feels a lot faster when u tweak it a little

I bought a 2022 in January. I love it. My biggest problem is I can’t figure out how to make the seat comfortable. I have an MT07 I take on longer rides, but I have a bunch of curvy 35-45mph roads around my house here in North Georgia I love riding on. I enjoy all the shifting and when I’m stuck behind people I don’t feel like I’m going so slow. I don’t think I’d like it on city streets. I haven’t taken it on an long rides yet because I can only sit on the thing for 20-30 minutes at a time.

I have an Icon Blue 2022 MT07 & i've never heard this noise.....But i'll keep an "ear" our for it....I LOVE the Bike....

If you go back to the stock rack, LFD off road makes great cross bars for the stock rack, but allow for mounting options to use aftermarket accessories. They also make a stainless steel option, so you don't have to lose sleep over rust. I think they look great too.

on the instrument cluster...i like the 2022 a LOT more than the 2023 or the 2024...I think they're both WAY too BIG....i watched the entire video...& i subscribed....

i had no idea about the gas tank .....haha i never even thought about it.... Back in 1985 i paid 550.oo for a 1970 650 BSA Lightning....had a nice big chrome tank...the guy who owed it had it out in his yard under a tree, had just cleaned it up & one of his kids was playing on it & knocked it over & made a BIG dent in the side of the tank.....he was so mad he said, i'm selling the bike...!!1 F8ck this shit..!!! so he sold it to a guy i knew, then i bought it from him....that bike looked nice & w/ a short chrome pipe, it sounded like a small Harley but it had poor power....the MT07 just BLOWS it away.... MT07 is a perfect bike IMO....for shorter commutes...

i agree w/ you on the suspension....i try to not go into corners real fast, the MT07 isn't designed for that.....some ppl complain about it but not me...i don't expect perfection.....for what i paid, like what you said....It's so much fun.....Well worth it....I'm not going to complain about anything on this bike....

in Southern Ohio on 4-15-2022 i put down 500.oo on an Icon Blue MT07, & it arrived on 8-05-2022....total paid was 9,600.xx & i was VERY happy.....i paid cash....but had to wait 3 1/2 months to get it.....SMH...almost all summer...BUT....i first saw this bike on TH-cam several years ago & i wanted it THEN.....But i told myself NO...not yet....i need more cash.....first day i brought it home i put on a 950.oo Corbin seat & sissy bar....the Corbin seat is thicker, & looks cool AF, but still, i ride this bike for 1-2 hrs at a time.....it's not a cruiser...Butt still gets sore...

i'd also swap out the front blinkers for TST Angel eyes/halo, w/ the Blue running lights....it's only like 80.00 ....There's a video on TH-cam on how to do it....

The shimmy is not a 4 runner thing. It is a Toyota truck and SUV thing. Tacomas do it too. You just have to find the right tires for the vehicle. I have been dealing with this issue for many years.

I do mine every 5k miles and my wife has a CHR and that too is done at 5k.

Great video, here’s my take on it , Oil is cheap engines are not. I change my oil in my 4Runner TRD Pro every 5000 miles regardless or every 6 months I guess I’m a fanatic!!
