Good spot. I imagine this could be considered as a Freudian slip, suggesting what might be a commonly held view of a wife in modern times that a wife should be a ‘good’ wife, whereas perhaps a woman’s expectation of a man could be ‘a man I can trust’. Interesting. Thanks for highlighting it.

Well, Orson Wells take was a stage play type, which terrified many people who thought unfolding events were real, and Richard Burton's was a musical production (of which I have the original double album, and love), This reading is of the original story, which is a joy for me and hopefully others. I hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, we can’t all have deep baritone voices, me included. You could always try sticking the mike down into the toilet bowl 🚽 like the ‘jar scene’ in Orson’s radio play. lol! 🤔
