Reckless is amazinggg and I just added As long as the lemon tree grows to my tbr, it seems so interesting!! And your outfit looks so cuteee, it was the first thing that I noticed when I started watching the video and I don’t really notice those type of things 🫶🏻

Reckless is also my favourite book in the Chestnut Springs series and I love that it's getting the recognition it deserves!

GIRL your number of books on TBR. RELATE-ABLE. Every time I watch a video, and the book sounds good? Another book added onto my list 😂 AKA As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow just entered my TBR 🫢 I'm still so shock when you said you didn't like Powerless. But I think maybe for those who's dabbling into Fantasy, it might feel new/different? I find that generally when books are over-hyped is generally catered to those who read a ton (which is fine)! Lol I agree so much that Kindle Romances can be 🥴I did stuff your kindle days a couple of times, and I haven't found many I enjoy much. I feel like The Fake Mate is waaay spicier and better than Bride. Bride was more thriller mystery to me 😂

I hesitated to read Ruthless Vows too because of the amnesia causing setbacks to Iris and Roman's relationship. However, Ross's writing is as beautiful and skillful as in Divine Rivals, and i enjoyed the book enormously regardless (or to be honest, maybe a little bit because of) of the premise I usually dislike a lot. I think you should pick up Ruthless Vows asap! If you are hesitant, maybe you could try a readalong with other people. I joined one on The Storygraph app and discussing the book while reading it helped me to get over my hesitation to read this one. The particular readalong is already over, but you could always set up your own one if you're interested (or use this strategy with some other book you want to read but just find yourself postponing).

I was about to say this like its a fact then realised that it isn't and just because no one has ever corrected me I assumed I was right 😭 But my understanding is that, no, Katniss did not want another Hunger Games. We see that she felt bad for the innocent capital children during the rebellion (the girl in the yellow jacket) as well as having genuine friends from the capitol. The reason she voted yes was to make sure that Coin thought that she was truly on her side in order to have no suspicion around her to then assassinate Coin instead of Snow. That said, Suzanne Collins is VERY smart and I don't think I'll ever know everything that she was implying in the Hunger Games.

I really really loved the books, the movies were almost as good but the final two movies were mid.

Big team Katniss did nothing wrong! Hate Gale. I can’t believe Catching Fire was boring for you! My favorite absolutely lol. I agree mockingjay is a mess tho from a storytelling perspective, but yeah Katniss definitely was tricking the lady in order to kill her… it was that moment that she realized district 13s leadership was no different from the capitol. Definitely no capitol hunger games 😂

I think the movies were better than the books. The story just works better on the screen and because it shows us more than just Katniss's POV 🤷‍♀️ And I'm pretty sure Katniss only said yes to the Capitol Hunger Games to not make Coin suspicious of her- therefore allowing Katniss an opportunity to take her out and that's why Haymitch agrees. It was a video by The Geek Apprentice called "Why Katniss Agreed to a 'Symbolic' Hunger Games" that shed light on it for me because I was like WHAT! too when I initially read that scene but it gives me a new appreciation for her.... well, there are my two cents.

Unrelated comment- I recently visited Dussmann Kulturkaufhaus in Berlin and was blown away by their quantity & variety of English books! I think it’s the biggest English bookstore in all of non-Anglophone Europe! And the best thing is it’s open until 12 am 🥹 do visit if you are in Berlin next time!

wait SAME 💀 but I'm 28 so... yeah, I haven't read any of the hunger games even though it was so hyped when I was younger. I watched the first movie... ish. Because I watched it on YT when it still has clips 😂 I think for the longest time, they weren't confirmed that it was the US until pretty recently 👀 You read so freaking fast though!! The fact that you can basically film the whole thing in one day. I felt like these books won't have a huge as an impact as reading it when it was during its peak 😭because we know most of the major spoilers (eg. peter's kidnapping/ptsd, rue dying, prim etc)

I'm so excited to read Dungeons and Drama. It's on my (very long) tbr for the month of June! I'll probably make my fiancé read it after me since he loves playing D&D and is usually the dungeon master

Dungeon and Drama sounds SO GOOD. I think I gotta add it to my TBR as a thank you to my friends who inspired me to make a TBR game with the dice they gave out at their wedding 😂 They're huge D&D players. Glad you enjoyed it. You had a pretty solid month with A LOT of books read 😍 My favorite book in May has to be Front Desk. It's a middle grade book talking about a young Chinese immigrant and the struggles they face. I felt like the author did a really good job capturing the feelings of what it's like to be young and an immigrant -- not understanding fully your parents struggles and whatnot. Didn't expect to enjoy it so much. Also is your Love Hypothesis RED?! So jealous 😂

Just started reading Dune and now i’m looking for people who read it too 👀 It is such a slow book in the beginning, things just started happening after page 200 and i totally agree that watching the movie helped me a lot 😅! I hope i will enjoy it by the end!

Boo Reading List is only for iOS. Looks interesting, I wonder when/if it will ever be available for Android. Bookmory also looks interesting. So far I still like StoryGrahp, and have basically stopped using Goodreads.
