NIVEA SKINFLUENCER JOURNEY | CAMPAINING FOR VOTES | REMARKABLE EXPERIENCES
Today I share with you the remarkable 2 weeks journey I've been on, campaigning for votes to be in the top 10 for the Nivea Skinfluencer competition.
The past two weeks have been exquisitely exciting, fun and affirming but equally exhausting and draining. My character has been tested and refined.
I would not have it any other way, the experiences I've had during this time are precious and certainly Heavenly.
I've been reminded of the utmost goodness and genuiness that people have, people that will work tirelessly because they want to see you succeed, your win is their win.
Thank you to each and everyone of you who rallied around me, I will never forget what you have done for me

COMPARATIVE SUFFERING | YOUR STRUGGLES ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO MINE
มุมมอง 1763 ปีที่แล้ว
I believe one of the things that get in the way of owning our stories is comparative suffeing. Dr Brene Brown defines comparative suffering as ranking pain, it's about who's having it harder. She goes on to say, comparative suffering stems from scarcity, the idea that there isn't enough empathy, I can't practise empathy with my self and others. All pain is pain, all struggles are valid, honour ...
LIVING A GOD APPROVED LIFE | CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF CHANGE | BAPTISM ANNIVERSARY
มุมมอง 2133 ปีที่แล้ว
What are you willing to forego in order to live a God approved life? In 2010 I was confronted with a similar question. Somila invited me to consider my ways, consider giving my life to God and with the Savior's help make the needed changes in order to live a life approved by God. As can be expected this was hard, but I was determined, like King Lamoni's father in the Book of Mormon I was willin...
WOMENING ON OUR TERMS
มุมมอง 1713 ปีที่แล้ว
As we come to the end of Women's Month my message to women in 2020 and beyond is simple, we are to WOMEN IN OUR OWN TERMS. We are to define womenhood in our own terms, we are to define our success in our own terms and release ourselves from the expectations of society on how best to live our lives. " It's not empowerment that women need. We have always had power. What we need is for organisatio...

In striving to be my best self I've come to learn that my outlook on life; the way I express myself; how I process and handle my emotions is primarily shaped by my upbringing. I couldn't agree more with Asanda Madi, a few weeks ago "Adulthood: a period one's life spent undoing childhood and reparenting oneself." CONFIDENCE vs ARROGANCE
มุมมอง 2264 ปีที่แล้ว
Growing up I did not struggle with self-confidence, this was fueled by right sources and unfortunately some of it came from a bad place (lacking a better word). Experiences in my mid-twenties though proved to be a trial of this long cultivated character trait. It is also said that "circumstances do not change a man but reveal his true character" I can attest to that 100% as my circumstances rev...
What is ACCA?
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Them: So what are you studying? Me: I'm studying ACCA. Them: What's That? This video is an answer to that question. I explain what ACCA is and what has led me to study an international qualification instead of a local qualification. We live in an age of the global economy, and what better way to learn how that economy functions than by studying a globally recognised qualification. In South Afri...
7 CURES OF A LEAN PURSE | BUILDING PERSONAL WEALTH

Let me share with you 7 practical steps to building personal wealth from my last read titled The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. This book has caused me to look at personal wealth differently, all of a sudden it is not a predestined s...

    This just reminded me about few workshops I conducted on the topics "Who am I" "Limiting beliefs" . There are many things that help shape who we are. One of these factors is how we grow up. Understanding what we believe about ourselves, truths, lies, and hurt - this is really helpful in understanding some behaviours, feelings and our actions we are experiencing today in our lives. If I could mention 2 of many things that contribute to who we are. 1. Habits we inherit from our parents - these habits come in an automatic manner, from when we are born. The most important event was being fed. This is when you form a first loving and trusting relationship with a parent figure or develop a sense of mistrust. [zinitsi, but ke I'm not here to flood your comment section LOL] 2. The time period we grow up in. There are so many things we get to learn from different Era, that being from fashion, how people live their lives etc.. This video got be thinking, loved it ❤️

    • @sifikiletungela3038
      @sifikiletungela3038 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed Vovo and I think the hardest is to admit to ourselves that the people who love us the most (meaning those who raised us) have taught us negative things, and have indeed shaped how we view ourselves. I totally agree with you 💯 💯 💯.

    • @vuyokazicurrie3494
      @vuyokazicurrie3494 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      And ke most of the time those things come from a place of love, even those that we now feel were wrong. Upbringing is such a beautiful thing, we can only pray that each of us get to experience such moments. Andithethi ke ngezi bad like abuse. That I cannot condone to be something that shapes you. No one deserves such treatment. Yazi I'm also reminded of when usiya emzini, indlela oyalwa ngayo. Ezinye izinto that are said may be thing to consider or not. It all depends on how you want to live your life and what you know would be right for you to inherit. I'll share a video with you shortly on Insta that I saw xa kuyalwa umfazi.
