I don't know of any way of putting in GPS coordinates to fly a waypoint mission in the DJI fly app. I guess if you know where the buoy is you can pin it on the map and try to do it that way. Just a thought 🤔. I know there are third-party apps out there that use GPS coordinates for mapping but I don't know if that would work for you or not. That is something you could check out I guess. Are you implying that I am or that we are all sheeple on this issue? I've had no issues with my DJI Mini 3 Pro. I am just trying to explain the different ways the RID works with each given drone. Thanks

I would have to say no, because the Mini 3 won't broadcast remote ID using that same standard battery. I don't have the M4P to test my M3P batteries in. I guess you could always try to get a hold of DJI support. They should be able to tell you if it does or doesn't. Thanks for the comment. Be safe.

Not a good thing with the crash 🤕and good you had the Care Refresh😅. After reading your comment, I checked my M3P with the std battery using the Air Sentinel app and it picked the drone up almost right away. I also checked it with the Plus battery, and it work there as well. Hopefully there was something wrong with the drone and all your issues will be gone with the new or replacement drone 🤞! This is happening anyway and just recently. All I did was update the app. Same thing happened but I grabbed my drone before it could take off. Mine is the mini 2. It has nothing to do with remote ID. It’s something dji did.

It is the App update and not a firmware update, correct? If that is the case, I don't know what to tell you. You may have to get in touch with DJI support. I know this is not helping but, if someone out there can help please chime in!

@@dk4drones yeah think I'm going to send it all back for DJI to sort out. It's been nothing but problems since day one. I took some nice shots when I was on hols but when I try downloading them it says downloaded to mobile device but can't find most of them 🤷 sooo confused with it all now lol

The only thing I found that is different is the P back to the N mode. I found out that if I boot up the controller first and then the drone the controller boots up a lot faster. I did not try to boot up the controller with the new update and the drone on first to check out how fast or slow it boot up 🤒, I will have to try that. The darn train Haha!!! Honestly, I didn't notice it at first either, but I used to fly the Air 2 that had the P mode when it first came out. Some people were getting pretty excited about that P mode thing, and I don't know why it flew the same with the letter P. Anyway, it is fitted now! 😄 Thanks for the comment. Be safe

I'm trying to remember how I knew I was getting the update as the download box just appeared on the screen. I believe I just turned on my controller and had it connected to my Wi-Fi and it said there was an update. Then I proceeded with the download. Once it was downloaded I had to restart the controller and then it updated the app. You can also go under your profile and check for updates and that should trigger the update as well. I don't know if the drone has to be on or not but it wouldn't hurt to have it on when you try this. Try that to see if that works. I hope this was helpful and that you get the update to install. @@dk4drones After doing some research as to why I couldn’t get any update notification or manual update for 1.13.4 I found a DJI statement about making sure the battery had more than a 50% charge. I was currently using a battery with 42% charge left from earlier flights. I put in a fully charged battery and didn’t get any update notifications but I was then able to access a manual update on what what I will call a “white settings screen” on my RC2 controller under profile noticing a red dot on a bell 🔔 shaped notification icon. After the update my RC2 controller displays N on the screen when normal mode is selected. I haven’t yet confirmed a quicker controller boot time but I will pay attention to that when I fly again.

@@kenramsey2304 I just checked and it definitely is faster now. I turned the drone on first and then the controller and it took about 20 seconds for the controller to boot up. 👍 I know before this update I would turn the controller on first and then the drone and The controller would boot up pretty quick that way. But this 1.13.4 app update apparently fixed this issue so we should be good. Just thought I'd let you know. Be safe!

The Mini 3 Pro is a nice drone. I have had mine for about 2 years now with no issues whatsoever. Enjoy and be safe!

Yes, when you're setting up your waypoints you can have the camera set as manual. Then you can control your camera at that waypoint manually or you can apply it to all waypoints. Hope that helps. I may do a little short video on all the ins and outs of the waypoints 😊. Thanks for the comment.

Found the setting! Now to test. Now I wish there was a way to do Spotlight mode based on GPS location of remote instead of vision based tracking. I find it loses tracking when trying to use it on myself in a small boat.

I agree with you on having a larger map as that would definitely help. I had the same issue trying to do it at home. It's almost impossible to get one waypoint on top of the other. You can do it but it takes some patience and finagling. Thanks for the comment. Be safe

Usually it's best to do it before but you can do it after as well.

@@dk4drones this is not exactly an exercise..... it came out from my mind regarding a lighthouse.... I want to get above the sea about one mile, higher than the lighthouse beam, and then fly in a straightline until very near the lighthouse at the height of the beam.... I do not want to make any corrections and it has to be a straight line from the beginning... I also do not want to stay above the sea for too long.... Using waypoints I would have to do it twice: once to set the waypoints (1, the nearest to the lighthouse and 2 above the sea 1 mile). and then start, and that's what I don't want to do. Any ideas?

@Moroder_Drone I'm sorry, I don't think I can help you with this one. Here in the states and I'm thinking pretty much everywhere 400 ft is the highest you can fly. So the mile high flight would make this exercise impossible. Be safe don't have an answer for either. Thanks for the comment. Be safe.

Yeah I did notice that the boot up time is slower and the P mode and N mode thing 🤔. I haven't experienced any camera or poor connection issues. Question, have you tried reinstalling the update? If not, maybe give that a try. I have heard that they are supposed to be coming out with a new app update for the RC2 when, who knows. I agree, I know my RC-2 controller and I have seen TH-cam videos of others saying the same thing. It does seem to be slower on boot up, but compared to my RC it's still pretty fast if not faster. I guess I haven't seen any updates this week on the RC-2 or the RC controller unless I missed it. Still waiting for the app update 1.13.1 or whatever it'll be to come out and hopefully that'll fix some of these issues 😏. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated and be safe.

To answer your question, I don't know. 🤔 As we know the EU has different rules and laws on drones and DJI had a 120m (393.8 ft) altitude restriction on the Mini drones over there and I believe has been changed. But I have not heard of anything on the Plus battery issue other than the warning message people were getting in the Fly app. I know here in the states if you use the Plus battery in the M4P it will broadcast Remote ID and then would need to be registered. You are being smart about the updates 🙂. I know if I was new to this hobby and an M4P, I to would be frustrated as well...🤥 Haha. Hear lately DJI in my humble option is not doing themselves any justice when it comes to firmware and app updates. The one thing a lot of us take for granted they (DJI) are messing up🤨. I think you are probably right on what you are saying. I just know that I have been updating my drones as the updates came out all the way back to the first DJI Mini. To be honest, I've never had an issue after the updates that I can remember, except one on my Mini 2 when the update would not install and locked the controller and drone. Had to get DJI involved to fix that mess. Thanks for the comment and be safe.

Sorry to hear that. One thing DJI does firmware updates to keep your drone up to date and on top of new things which is a good thing I believe. But I do understand where you're coming from as well. Usually updates only happen once every 2 or 3 months at the most. Thanks for the comment. Be safe.
