I’m not sure what you mean. Bfs means casting ultra light lures on bait casting gear. That’s what I was doing in the video. I could be casting on dry land and it would still be bfs. Hah yeah I sometimes when they stock trout I throw trout profiled swimbaits in hope of catch a big bass.

I really love the 15 Metanium Dc , but after using this new one. It think the new one is a better caster. It can cast a lower weight lure too

@@collinstuart3622 yes sir will do , I like it so far, I was casting from 6 gram to 1 oz yesterday and it handled it pretty good. It cast a 1/2oz lipless crankbait far as hell!!

I like it better than the solid spool, adjusting the brakes is easier, you can cast lighter weights and the spool isn’t as fragile as you would think. I caught some 5lb bass with it now problem. Of course I don’t use much drag pressure cuz the avail pinion gear is fragile.

@@Baitfinessefishing I'm having a strange issue with my 2500c. The spool is rattling loudly when I cast if the reel is tilted handle-side down. Moving the white brake spacer (avail mb brake kit) to the right solves the issue temporarily, but the rattling comes back if I tighten the spool tension knob as it moves the spacer back into place. Any ideas for a fix? Thanks a lot!

@@zhelsel what brake system and spool do you have? Do you have the spool in this video? The honey comb (trout special)? Or do you have the other avail spool witch is solid was no holes?

@@Baitfinessefishing I have the honeycomb avail trout special and the AMB250R. This issue was happening with both spools. The brake system is the avail MicrocastBrake AMB1520PE.

@@zhelsel my first thought was that the spool was making contact with the brake hub. You can test it by removing the brake hub and try reeling it in the way that the spool was rattling around. This reel is built from parts, you can’t just buy the reel. You have to located all the parts from various places and build it. The way you see it here is about a $2000 reel

REM oil would lubricant the bearings, but would not clean them. I cleaned my bearings in this video. You need some type of solvent, I used acetone.

no good.. lures are beautiful ,craftsmanship second to none.. BTW , I’m pretty sure this lures are made for currents and that’s what make them even more valuable , it’s v. difficult to find a lure , specially floating kind that holds up good in fast moving water…👍@@Baitfinessefishing

@@user-vy9fw4li3x they def are beautiful. And yes most are made for current. They sink pretty fast, and don’t really blow out on high speed retrieve or fast current.

2518 spool, 4lb or 6lb nylon, like 45 - 50 meter line@@Baitfinessefishing

@@andy7233 try the lightest line you can use, and only put like 30-35 meters on it. I use about 35 yards of 4 lb fluoro. I can cast 2 grams probably 20 yards. But high end modern bfs reels can out cast a tuned Ambassadeur 2500. I only fish the Ambassadeur for fun, if I need to cast super far I will just use like an aldebaran bfs or something.

@@Baitfinessefishing thank you 🥲4lb nylon probably lighter than 4lb fluoro, just dont know why i can only cast like 8-10 yards, and i double checked the reel, cant find any problem with the tuning parts.

@@andy7233 4lb fluoro is thinner than 4lb nylon. Not sure about actually weight. When I said a lighter line I meant a thinner line. Yeah you should be able to cast farther than that. But what I’ve noticed with bfs is the amount of line you have on ur spool really effects the castability when get to light weight baits (1.5-2 gram). That’s why I normally limit it to like 30 to 40 yards of 4lb fluoro. When I first started fishing bfs I was filling the spool up like you would a normal baitcast reel, pretty much completely full. After lots of trail and error I see the reel preforms best with very limited amount of line.
