good to point out... thankfully i'm testing home audio..vintage amps, integrated and power. even receivers. they use an input of between 200 milli and 2v depending on unit. so i'll never need anything above 2 volts. but good to know anyway.

Update: Running it in Windows 3.1 on a slower Pentium made no difference. DOS high-res modes work fine (such as using PCPlayer benchmark) but the whole "GUI acceleration" is broken with this card. (not a RAM issue). Will have a look at the card again later to see if I can spot any damage I may have missed. I don't know too much about how Windows uses the GUI features of this card. I think it supports a very primitive form of DirectDraw? Windows XP: 3:39 Windows 98: 9:08 Also, I cleaned all the dirt of of the card shortly after filming this 😭

Are they flyback adjustments?

After trying to fix mine - both channels fail above 5v, I spent a lot of time looking online. According to one source, different opamps are switched in via relays for signals above 5v. You can hear the relays click when you turn up to 6v. They are under the heatsink and are labelled 3002I. These chips are also now hard to get hold of. Again using another online source, they are dual opamps and each opamp is connected in parallel with itself. I would love to get a definitive answer on this. Are the 3002 chips faulty or is it something else?

Mine is badged as Dominty, bought second-hand, exactly the same fault.

don't know if it still relevant 3 years after, but those vhsc are really more easy to work on than you think :) boards are not soldered in each other, simply... plugged, and hold in place with claws, they had to be simple for servicing back in time. the issue it has is microcontroller don't reset and initialize, that's why. the reason? bad capacitors. the one causing the issue is on the front board. most issues with those are only bad capacitors.

You played this very well. I love the Boellman Toccata from the Suite Gothique, and I'm impressed with how you played it.

How'd you get access to this organ?

They luckily removed a copyright strike I had with the HORN on a rail car being blown. 3 different organizations said that was part of their MUSIC... Luckily, someone actually looked at the video....

I know the piece, but so may others probably don't - it would be helpful to provide information such as the location, the title of the piece and a brief explanation of what this is all about.

TH-cam censors irrationally, won't remove videos that do violate its policies, and removes or demonetizes without cause -- all those hailing suppose "artificial intelligence" should take a hard look at its ongoing failures here.

As hou wrote, one opamp, being the offset Insertion, that's actually done quite early on in the circuit pre final amplification.

I've got 3 of those JVC VHS-C recorders and none of them work. Would love to get them working but don't know where to start as they certainly are compact and complicated. I was getting excited when I saw what was in the case as I thought you were going to fix it.

I don't know why it took me 3 years to realize and comment this but the manual I shared in the description DOES NOT match the functions for the dipswitches. I don't know what most of them do but the setting that works for me is: Bank A -> OFF, OFF, ON, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, OFF Bank B -> OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, OFF, ON, ON For anyone up to the challenge, feel free to reverse engineer the circuit and tell me their functions :) I don't think the manual is going to surface any time soon...

Hi again - I found one of these great little JVC monitors and bought it, but the seller told me they connected a radio shack power supply that has a tip on the that was on incorrectly and the polarity was reversed. So, the monitor isn't currently working and I'm wondering if there is a fuse inside that might have blown to protect the electronics that I can replace? I'm don't know much about electronics so I hope you can let me know as I would really like to use it. Hope to hear from you and thanks for the video!

Just some clarification because people seem to be finding this video: I bought this function generator back in March 2021 from AliExpress. I noticed this problem immediately upon its arrival, and requested a replacement. If anyone has bought from them, you'll know that they require a video proof demonstrating the problem. This was intended to be that video. They sent me a replacement chip (an opamp). Yes, it was a tiny SMD component, and I had a bit of trouble getting it soldered in. But it's fixed now, and I'm almost certainly sure that this was simply a factory defect, and I've had no further trouble with it. It is a really nice and solid function generator for the price. Would definitely recommend.
