Looks like you were still having to close it pretty hard and how long did it take you to get the striker lines back up? On mine on my 95.took a min or so to get them lined back up cause the pins and bushings were wore out just got all that replaced and my doors close like new again 5:39

Oh man I had the same one, if I remember correctly it's what? A 83? Or 84? Limited edition in that Mazda gold, your wheels look different than the ones that were on mine though, mine were that honeycomb design, I'm pretty sure there was only around 5000 of them limited edition ones made for the year, hang on to that one!!

Hey, I'm no expert but from all my research it would seem that your posts are backwards (turned 180 degrees). All the lifts I see have the cables terminated at the top of the post inward facing the opposite diagonal corner. I'm not an installer so perhaps Bend Pak does theirs this way. I'm also not a big Bend Pak fan--I'm looking more at Advantage lifts. Another indicator is the lettering "Bend Pak" usually faces outward. As I research I have seen at least one reference to one installed backwards citing issues with properly locking/unlocking.

All fun and games until the engine blows cuz of that stuff...
