Join us on our transformative journey as we share with you the world through THE BELCHER'S APPRECIATIVE EYE. The purpose of this TH-cam channel is to share what we see of other cultures from around the world. We see culture as like-minded and / or genetically connected people living out their customs, beliefs, and social systems. Our particular focus will be on people who have migrated into other cultures.
Colorful Attire Everywhere for a Fante Celebration!
There were bus loads of people from Takarodi, Ghana. They were in Cape Coast getting ready to walk the streets to celebrate a Fante tradition. I was so inquiste about where they were from, and how old was the tradition. Also what really amazed me was the costumes they were wearing. Listen to the interview with these guys.

Travelling from Accra to Cape Coast, twenty % of the infrastructure is horrible! This is one of their national highway. Due to the infrastructure, it takes approximately four hours from Accra to Cape Coast. We know this will be a smoother transition after the work is done.

We took a little trip to the property, really not knowing what to expect. We visit the property EVER FRIDAY! We found loads of dirt in the front yard. Doc said the dirt was for levelling the front yard. But unfortunately, he was incorrect. The dirt is for packing the structure before placing the floor fot the house. So this week visit was definitely a surprise. I guess we'll have to see what pr...

Very excited! Each time I've visited our property I can envision myself listening to the birds chirping, grounding in the grass, gardening, collecting amazing granite stones from mother earth and absorbing GOD'S sun and fresh breeze. It's the simple things in life that matters to me. ❤
Red earth & great view. Is this in Ghana?
Actually the red soil is not our property soil. It's a special soil purchased and used to help secure the foundation of our home.

Oh wow 😳. How long do you anticipate the shortage to last? Will someone with a borehole allow you all to get water?
@GhanaAfricaBound It is unknown how long the shortage will last. We did have water delivered a couple of days ago. However, it's not water we can drink or cook with. We've never drank or cooked with the tab water in Ghana. Neither did we drink or cooked with the tap water in the USA. We are doing ok it's just a headache for me to use bottled water to wash my hands. Especially using bottled water to rinse after soaping my body. This is part of this journey. I know this too shall pass!
@TheBelchersApprecitiveEye Thank you 😊
Woah!!! How many square feet will the property be?
@TheSHERIFFmrWCRP Our property is 76,800 square feet. That's about 1.75 arceage of land.
@TheBelchersApprecitiveEye Daaaauuummm!!! What are y'all building...a production studio!?
@TheSHERIFFmrWCRP LOL! No, not a production studio! We are using some of the land for a community garden, green house, and 2 chalets for b and b. Our home will be approximately 5600 square feet.
@TheBelchersApprecitiveEye NICE!!!
Who will clean that massive house with beautiful views? Happy holidays, and stay blessed!
@lakeshavallejo7889 Not I said Grynda! Lol!!! It's really just the two of us. We would only need someone to come in once a week to clean. We shall see! I will keep you informed.
Oh wow! Be careful & God Bless. You are always covered by Angels !💞

greetings, that's gotta be tough for people having allergies already. I would definitely need to wear a mask 😊
@shirleygrant8989 Yes, it is very difficult for people with upper respiratory issues. The Environmental Protection Agency is recommending that the mask should be worn.

Hello Mrs. Belcher. Sorry I didn't save your WhatsApp information. I want to see if you and others are able to collect donations for the Orphanage and buy the kids a basketball goal, soccer balIs, baby dolls for girls, and toy trucks for the boys? I have sent money to the charity to buy things and a basketball goal. However, two would be better. One for the older kids and one for the younger kids. We really need more help to make sure everyone gets a gift. I am reaching out to you because you told me that you wanted to help. They will be passing the gifts out on Tuesday. The Orphanage is located in Yamoransa Ghana Africa. Thank you
@GhanaAfricaBound Unfortunately, we donated to our school in the Agyndem community for children Christmas gifts and party. We would love to make a small donation. Where do we send the donation?
Love your joyful progress!❤

It's hamatan season. The dust from the Sahara blows over that way. It lasts a few weeks I believe.
Thanks family! I don't like it, but there's one good thing about this season it's a little cooler, especially in the mornings. I love going on my porch with a cup of tea and enjoying the cool breeze Unfortunately, the dust is heavier in certain areas. The trees on the highway and in the bush areas are catching it really badly. Y'all take care!
@hasinasai8681 We found out it's Harmattan season. It started from late November to the middle of March. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.

Thanks for the day in the life drive to the market. I’m curious how often you go to the market, your vendor of choice and why, What products you purchase weekly, And how many Cedi do you spend a week shopping for groceries ?🇬🇭
@@imhotepcoleman9230 We visit vendors sometimes twice a week. Since we are vegetarians we purchase lots of fruits and veggies. We spend anywhere from 200 to 300 cedis. On an average we spend 250 cedis each visit. We purchase the bulk of our groceries from the Organic Market in Cape Coast. Check out our videos interviewing some of the vendors at the Organic Market.
