It's like he never learned to play it but born to play it
Ive spent two years only practising and playing hendrix music and all i have to say is what a journey it has been. This man was a pure genuis when it came to how to make a guitar sound like an angry cat being electrified at the same time. His ability to walk around scales and notes so effortlessly is incredible. Today 50 years later people still cant believe how he made that guitar into his own orchestra
Nice. I hadn't heard this before. My favorite rendition is still the one on "Hendrix In The West".
very best blues
Best version is from San Diego from Hendrix in the west.
That "love of power/power of love" quote has been attributed to a number of Jimi's predecessors from Mahatma Ghandi to William E. Gladstone who was Prime Minister of the UK in the 1800s. Regardless, Jimi believed it enough to repeat it.
wicked Jimi on a Gibson !
Pretty sure he's playing the black Les Paul on this,
Some time ago I had sex with my girl listening to and was the best of my dreams
I named my second son after him his grandfather thought I gave him after him😅😅 my son's grandfather was mean and hated me
So I have a tab book that may be worth something someday...I think I probabaly have the only copy left in exisitance. It came with cassette tape of Jimi playing Red House at 7 differant venues, you know if your a guitar player like me or a fan - Jimi never played Red House the same although the basic song structure remained the same. I just found the book in a pile of my old keepsakes. Funny thing is now I am going to have to find a cassette player....that may be tough to do these days.....LOL
James brown saluted to I’m missing you guys
One hundred thirty miles an hour covered with love he saluted max forgot

I thought you were in the Air Force
I believe he was killed by cia As was John Lennon !If they killed the music they kill the anti war movement
The song will always remind me of Larry Marsh I will never forget him walking around singing it❤
Hello. I'm not necessarily saying that you have to do acid to "connect" with Jimi's Spiritual Essence...mostly during his live recordings. But man...when I was in my 20's and 30's tripping while listening to Jimi made it feel like he was a God...massive sounds...bigger than life. There have been false rumors for years that claimed that Jimi died from a Heroin overdose...but his close friends aleays referred to him as a "Psychedelics Man". They claimed that he did mess with a little Cocaine...but that he never tried Heroin... Yes...Jimi was very skinny towards the end of stay on this planet...which is the way Heroin junkies look...but he wasn't a junkie... Also...Jimi's grandmother in Seattle was 100% Cherokee Indian...which saturated Jimi's guitar solos with phrasing that had much more wisdom than an ordinary 27 year old guitarist would have... My favorite live recording of Mr Hendrix was "Stone Free" from the 2 CD release called "Live At The Fillmore East' which was released in the late 1990s. This is the version of Stone Free where Jimi layed the melody to the Christmas song "The Little Drummer Boy" for about 10-15 seconds. Jim's phrasing and monstrous TONE was astounding on this track. Nowadays...I cannot find this recording anywhere on TH-cam...which is very sad... PEACE
BB KING!!!!!!
Wow I never heard that before and I've heard probably a dozen different versions

THAT GUITAR IS MAJICAL ❤❤❤
Jimi was on a whistle stop tour and earth was just part of it!!!
To Nothing but the blues! 💙🎵🎶
I met and talked with Stevie Ray Vaughn and asked him to play Voodoo Child which he whaled. That was in 1984 at UCONN in Stores Ct I believe , getting old if you know what I mean. He had 7 Jimi Hendrix buttons on his guitar strap , 1 of the meanest and best live I've ever seen. Wish I was old enough to see the MASTER HENDRIX.
Light touch and clean, quick phrasing. One of the best versions of Jimi's songs.
Kicker down❤

He is unforgetable !As well as myself, a 72,yr old. Since seeing Jimmy at Cal Expo in Sacramento,Ca. 1968? It was a magic show. The fence behind the outdoor stage came down, and Jimmy said, to "Let them come on in." Security stood down. It was an awesome show and the atmosphere was ,"enlightening",he played with his emotions so exciting.also blew us away when he played with his teeth,or tongue? Sat on his guitar(etc) , he was into his guitar,as it started to rain lightly at the end of the show. It was like a dream. Oh Jimmy ! I'll never forget that special day and rare concert. That only would happen once like it did. I will Always remember ! you ! Love you ! We lost you way too soon.So much music still to tune. R I P than you'll play, when we rise that holy day. Forgiven, talent blessed ,now mourned.never a word to be scorned. We understand and God does too.to forgive you for the dark that took from you. You loved and were like all the rest. As our life challenges us to a test. To watch you play,in your hypnotizing way, we knew you were saying."I'm alive today"! We didn't want to see you go,but your spirit was on loan ,as we were shown. It has'nt really come to an end.For someday your spirit will send, yet another one who plays like you,We'll here your music and feel your spirit too. And it will be you ! Though many cries, remember,Love never dies.So dont cry, in his music he sends ..his love, To his friends! Forever young.
Jimi Hendrix was, and STILL IS, the very definition of the word amazing.
Jimi and Mitch an unbelievable duo. Billy cox just made it magic jimi was the driving force for all rock n roll guitarists no matter what they say. Stevie Ray Vaughan a close second.
What about Chuck Berry as Keith Richards would say?
All the old blues guys or any blues guys that ever put Jimi down obviously where scared or jealous in my opinion. But Jimi still loved us all anyway.
There's talent and there's Jimmy Hindrix and the way he makes it sounds easy. Other worldly guitar
😊😂
I listened to my first red house rendition on the rainbow bridge 8 track 1972 , I am now 68 years old Jimi forever.
So funny after 50 plus yrs no one ever came no where close to jimi is that a mystery or what?....you know I do believe in aliens 😅
A gift from heaven just like Jesus amazing God works in mysterious ways everyday 🙏
