    Why would you not finish the racking system with your micro inverters and cable so everything is just ready to plug in? This looks like working twice to me? Serious question I’m wondering why would this be a benefit?

    • @solartoolsusa
      @solartoolsusa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Completely agree, placing all of your micro inverters and cable first is definitely the way to go for an organized install. This video was not able to be filmed in the exact recommended order for the most efficient install, but to simply showcase the tools that are available to help make the job easier. If one were to install all micro inverters and cable first, the panel hanger would absolutely show it's full value as it provides a way to stack panels without working around those already installed components.

    OSHA requires how many points of contact?

    • @solartoolsusa
      @solartoolsusa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill, this tool obviously cannot provide an installer the option to "maintain" 3 points of contact when climbing a ladder as the video implies. What we were trying to say, is that when you are on the ladder and something was to happen, such as high wind, that the installer would have 3 point of contact and full control of the solar panel. Which is not a luxury that installers have without this tool. Looking beyond the 3 point of contact controversial conversation, this tool does ensures proper lifting principles and better security as you climb. If a solar installer is going to take the risk of climbing a ladder with a solar panel (which we all know many do), it might as well be as safe as possible. If you are looking for a product that will provide an installer the option to get solar panels to a roof and maintain 3 points of contact, check out our Solar Panel Hoist. It is about $5,000 but it will meet your needs.

    How many can the caddy hold at a time?!

      The Solar Panel Caddy can carry a single solar panel at a time.

  • @pg8605
    @pg8605 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Here it is always windy. This wont work. It is hard to hold it.

    • @solartoolsusa
      @solartoolsusa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are not sure if you are asking or telling us whether the Solar Panel Caddy will work or not in the wind so let us clarify. Our company is based out of Sothern Idaho and heavy winds are very common. Carrying solar panels in windy conditions can be very difficult and dangerous. We have found the Solar Panel Caddy to be extremely helpful in windy conditions allowing the carrier of the solar panel to maintain better balance than the traditional method for carrying solar panels. With that said, in very high winds it is plain dangerous for one person to carry a solar panel, especially on a pitched roof, and would suggest that a single panel should be carried by two people verses one.

    @matthewdonnelly2759 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Where can I find the reduced price hanger?

    • @solartoolsusa
      @solartoolsusa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew, In the solar industry we sell a very expensive product (solar systems) to customers every day. We do that by breaking down the return on their investment by comparing there cost of the system to the electrical savings. This tool is no different. The majority of the solar industry charges a price per watt to install a system so it doesn't matter if it takes one day or three days, the installers will get paid the same amount. This tool will decrease the time it take you to install a system therefore increasing the profitability on that install. So although this tool may seem expensive to you, it is quite reasonably priced when you take the time to calculate how much more profitable you will be by increasing your install speed. In all actuality, this tool cost less than a single solar panel so is it really that expensive?

      @solartoolsusa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      David, we are hoping that some of our customers will respond to your question so you get their feedback but until then, we wanted to make sure your questions were answered. To answer your first question, yes, this tool is being used by solar companies all over the world and is our #1 selling product. As for damage to the glass, the answer is no. This tool is designed specifically for carrying solar panels and will not damage the glass. Even more importantly, it will not create micro-fractures in the cells as they are more fragile than the glass and that was our first priority when designing this tool.

      Thank you for you comment, as we can see how our video description could have implied this, though that was not the intention. We have since updated to make it more clear. The traditional method of carrying solar panels up a ladder is certainly not OSHA compliant and our tool obviously cannot provide this either, based on the specific code written about what "3 points of contact" entails. This tool however ensures proper lifting principles and better security as you climb. If a solar installer is going to take the risk of climbing a ladder with a solar panel (which we all know many do), it might as well be as safe as can be possible. We did however just recently add another tool to our website that is 100% OSHA compliant if that is what your company is looking for! Feel free to check out our Solar Panel Hoist.......that will certainty exceed any specific requirements you and your company have. solartoolsusa.com/solar-panel-hoist/
