If a stove doesn't have an air intake from outside it will take air from inside wherever you're heating and create drafts as the fire pulls in oxygen and blasts it up the chimney. Same reason power vent appliances have an intake and exhaust. No negative pressure.

No I didn’t get one in the end sadly. Went for Drifta Stockton style similar to the Snow Peak version but fraction of the price. Very pleased with it though. Still really like the Winnerwell products and they’re always bringing new equipment out.
