Back then the didn’t have click tracks or pro tools rigs playing the parts the band didn’t have enough people to play. Listen how good this recording and band is.

I miss Glen so much. Thanks for this one. I know Glen made a movie with John Wayne. I did too! I was 16 and Mr Wayne made his last movie the shootist in Carson City NV in 1976. Mr. Wayne was so nice to all of us. RIP Glen and John!
Chris Isaak shows so much tact and class in interviewing Glen Campbell. He takes his time, let's stories be told.

Glen was one heck of a guitar player and played on so many great iconic songs. I wish this show would have included him playing the guitar.

The pattern that Phil’s playing comes from a song by Weather Report “Nubian Sundance” Ishmael Wilburn is the drummer that composed/played that beat/pattern & Skip Hadden doubles with him on drums via live recording too.
Similar, but I don't think it's the same. Possibly 'inspired by' rather than 'copied'. That said, there are only so many possible combinations out there, so a degree of similarity and repetition is inevitable. Same with melodies and chord sequences.

It must have been a comfort to him to have that beautiful voice so near the end of his life . I lost my husband in 2020 to dementia and still I wonder if he was afraid but know he'd have done anything not to worry us, that's who he was❤. Such a cruel disease!

It really is subjective, but you're the first to call this crap. But I agree Steve was a bit like George Harrison.
I always considered it as a ‘lesser’ track in the Genesis canon, but listened to it recently, loud on a good system, it’s a fkn beaut!!
One of my favorite tracks in the album. Just a matter of taste.
It's one of my favourite Genesis tracks. . Not saying Steve Hackett didn't deserve more room to play and compose and he was probably rightfully p*ssed off that he was pushed into the background by the rest of the band members, but I would say that 'Wot Gorilla' was a great track. . Not really crap. Well, that's my opinion. . for what it's worth. . No more and no less than anyone else's opinion, I guess.

Glen Campbell was one of the best guitar players of all time… pretty much every big named artist that played with him in any capacity, said he was the best guitarist ever… they say he could play anything..
