The external microphone was mounted underneath the rear fender right above the chain so when the bike is cruising at a steady throttle you pickup more superficial chain noise than ambient and exhaust sound.

Hello, how often do you ride your Chappy and would yiu recommend buying one? Thanks Peter
I own one and yes its worth buying but theyre kind of slow stock
@@royalcrystaledits what top speed does it have 50cc stock
nice one😎
Al wat kort is 'n ligte clutch-up en 'n wheelie. 😀 Bike klink mooi! Lekker ou Schalk!
Sounds amazing man! Woah! 😲
Very naas ou Schalk!
There's nothing like the smell of 2-stroke in the morning.
is my lanie
I've got 2-stroke running in my veins.
This is a really high speed track , top speed 260!!! & that spin at 2.38 a bit risky ))
nICE....
Man these are fast as hell.
I don't think they race them here in NZ. I've been here 10yrs and never seen anything, best would be to ask on Pukekohe Park Raceway site or Hampton Downs Raceway
World's Fastest 330P4. Best engine sounds. Hear/See a lap ,race David Piper Ferrari 250LM. Top ten How to overlay both laps. Could look quite cool
Cool mate. Best way to get in touch with Any of us Superkarters in NZ is through the Facebook page 'Superkart Series' . Always good to have new members.
Thanks man. This track is a bit bumpy though. I'd guess speeds around here are in the 240kph region but there are other local circuits with longer straights and at sea level where drivers have recorded on gps more than 260kph. I also checked your videos. Are you in Aus or NZ? Seeing that your profile name is SRC73NZ. My old man(who owns the kart) is moving to NZ later this year and would like to get in touch with the Superkart fraternity.
Nice vid, track looks like fun. Top speed more around 240kph in these though.
125cc's aren't "Little", They're 2 strokes, so they make 2x the power of a 4 stroke (for the size).
on and off for about 6 years. I raced 125cc shifter karts before.
Thanks for asking, click "show more" in the video description. It is essentially a motorbike engine so gears are the same. The clutch lever is operated by your left hand and is nestled behind the steering wheel. 6 gears and a top speed of over 260km/h can be achieved depending on the length of the circuit. Seeing that you're in the US go google "ekartingnews" and navigate through the forum. Everything you need to know is on there and also join the forum to ask questions.

250cc Superkarts. Race on normal car circuits instead of kart circuits.
Awesome vid what kind of karts are those
awesome footage, just love that 2 stroke singing away :)
Hi. We are a club called the 250 Superkart Association of South Africa. TH-cam doesn't allow to put links in comments so check the links in the Video Description above and click to "Show more"
Eish Mila dan moet jy kom ry! :p
yes, just a quick blip of the throttle and no clutch while shifting.
Do you take the foot away from the accelerator, when you shift? Looks like FUN!!
Thanks!
6 gears - Push fwd in to 1st and pull towards you to go up in the gears. Its a Yamaha TZ 250 motor and gearbox, same as bike.
Without sound, it almost looks like FFW mode, darn, that's fast....
How do you mean? Left foot brake, right foot accelerator, right hand shift, left hand clutch(only for pull away).
Haha I actually want to wrap my kart in a Mario Kart theme, seeing that my nr. is 64 as in Nintendo 64.
wow awesome, this is my dream¡¡¡... some day¡
Damn that looks fun, local gokart racing only got about 6-9hp...and now that just seems weak ^^ That video just made my day :)
I timed you from start to finish on the second lap in the video and you did a 1:15'ish. Very quick. If you hadn't been held up in turn 4, you would have been quicker. Awesome stuff dude!
The times for the weekend we're way off, I think I did like high 1:14s in practice(guestimate - no tronsponder) but Fabio Tafani did 1.11s 2 years back and Marcel Angel still holds a record here at 1.10.2 I think. The track is a lot more bumpier than it was 2 years back, I understand its been resurfaced on some spots a while ago.
Thanks Ross! This was on Friday practice on old tires and different carbs. Normally runs Mikuni flat slides but we've been battling for quite sometime with the jetting as we only have limited sizes jets and emulsion tubes. We fitted a pair of Dellorto 39mm round slides and was still setting up the jetting, still not perfect but way better than with the old setup. Unfortunately I broke a engine mount and couldn't quali and in both heats I retired due to gearbox problems(stuck in 2nd/3rd gear).
Awesome video Schalk. It looks like you break quite early in the first lap (warming up the tyres?). You're skipping around in the corners, so no doubt pushing it? Or is that just the 2 stroke wanting to spin you out?
karting is the best form of motorsport, it's impossible to make a race car as light as a kart, also impossible to get a lower centre of gravity... in Motor racing less is more
this is so sick. I never knew karting was so fast. its like mini F1. Dying to do this! cheers for upload The commentators are great, answered all the questions I needed to ask.
Too bad they don't have these here Stateside, in any notable sanctioning body at least. Still, we do have WKA Enduro Karts, which can go over 140, so I don't suppose I should be complaining too much. :)
@ommarwin Thanks, I know its very unfortunate that its frowned upon by so many in motorsport, nevertheless from next year on I for one will be posting a lot of onboard footage of the Superkarts here in SA. If you'd like, check out my blog and/or Facebook page to stay updated of our shenanigans. The website addresses are in the beginning of the video. Thanks again.
Yes I've entered for this year. Just hope I don't prang again.
