Any clue on the effects on battery life when on park mode?

Great video, any idea how to access the USB port at the back of the console?

My dash cam just arrived, and your video will be perfect for me to follow along in hiding the wiring. I'm planning on connecting it by connecting an adapter to one of the ports in the housing between the auto-dimming mirror and the EyeSight cameras, but I wonder if hardwiring it is the better option or not.

why did you have original switch that came with the light bar mounted in the car plus the 6 gange switch panel and whats the yellow wire for...

So I've just tried to do this but I keep getting the error that the software load was unsuccessful. Is it something to do with my USB drive or the version of the software I'm using? For context I own a 2022 Outback Touring in Australia.

Did your crosstrek come with that storage net next to your knee by the shifter?

Is this the same process for a Touring model since the Touring has vented seats as a choice and other models don't?

I am unable to yank my center console out, despite having removed the gear knob and opening up the armrest compartment ;( Any ideas what else might be blocking it? Apart from pulling on the cupholder I tried prying the whole trim piece up with trim tools inserted from both sides, but nothing's worked.

2023 Forester Premium Automatic Transmission - I dropped a key on the gear shift center console near the gear shift. The key SLID out of sight in the rear direction. The gear shift works perfectly without any interference. Do I have to bring the car to the shop to have them take apart the consote so as to get that loose key out. OR.....can I just let it stay where it is and not have any problem. I'm hoping it simply slid into a plastic cavity.

My 2017 Subaru Impreza doesn’t have the full casing this one has, just the lower part, so I prized mine off from the bottom.

At 23:29, did you just tuck the wire into that rear pillar there or did you lace the wire behind it? Also is running the rear camera wire near the side curtain airbags as you did going to effect the deployment at all?

I have all the same equipment, but my fuses dont fit, idk whats happening. Update* For some reason that fuse will not fit, i used the one that had longer prongs. That unfortunately cant accomodate the fuses that were selected in the video. I just kept switching with the open slots until parking mode toggled properly. I think middle and one of the right ones. I couldn't access the rear wiring tube easily. I settled with just going along the trunk liner until the middle. Hid the excess in that panel that was slighly removed in the rear. Theres a little bit more wire showing, and it's needed to extend when the trunk is opened. But for the most part it's short enough that it doesnt hang far from the top, doesnt obstruct rear viewing.

Thanks for making this video. I just bought a 2024 Crosstrek Limited and there is few or poorly detailed videos on the internet for tutorials specific for the 2024 model Crosstreks for aftermarket anything.

Nice video. I have a 24 Outback wilderness and ordered a dongar adapter and the Viofo A119 mini 2. Thinking about ordering this one instead and a hardwire kit though. I just worry about draining the battery. Can you adjust the options to limit the power it uses when parked?

thanks was able to update my 2022 wilderness. took about 20mins way faster then the taking to the dealer.

Can different trim level like crosstrek sport be swapped the rear bumper with the wilderness???

I did the update process and it worked correctly. The process was very simple and took 40 minutes in my Outback Limited 2022. Upgrade a Software version: FB1SMM141-280, using a 32GB USB. Thank you so much, the Subaru dealer in Medellín Colombia does not provide this service.

Thanks for this video. I just got two Viofo A329. I already installed the first one on my 2020 Nissan Murano and it was a bit painful without any video (like this). The second one is going to be installed on my 2024 Crosstrek this weekend. It will be a lot easier for sure!

Did exactly what you said to do and updated my wife's 2022 OB with nav. The map is still small? Should I redownload the High version again and try again? or take it to the dealer? Thanks for the video it is great.

I totally understand your choice to place the camera to the left of Eyesight, but can you wedge the cables along the gap between the Eyesight and the rest of the rear-view mirror shroud piece for a right-side placement? 2. Can you run the cable underneath the door sills instead of overhead for the back camera? I know you must go back 'up' to hit the hatch door, but I was thinking to avoid the rear curtain airbag. I have a '24 Impreza RS.

So much easier to use a PNP harness that connects to the eyesight wiring.

Is the cover duct (the corner part with the reflector) removable without removing the entire bumper first?

2020 OB Touring. About a couple years ago I was got an email from Subaru w Tutorial. Very easy. No thumb drive needed.
