    How well magnetized is the tip of it? cuz when fiddling in a car or a PC, losing your screw or hands being too big to fit into small holes is a major pain, is advertised magnetic tip good?

    Looks like there isn't much of a body on the drill to hold onto when you're pushing into what ever it is you're drilling.

    • @RealisticDIYers
      @RealisticDIYers 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Perhaps, but others would argue that the drill is too big if there was more body. It comes down on specific uses after all... We also have the old bosch PSB 1800 with a bigger body, but in our opinion, it is too bulky for our uses.

      @Tony-1971 Hehehehehe. Good luck! We have no experience with the 18V-40, but it should be quite good, too. Take a look at the most recent one AdvancedImpact 18V-80. More powerful (if you need the extra power), and they have easy chuck change. It was launched after we made this video, and although we haven't tested it, it looks quite good.

    Now tell everyone about all the many unfixable faults this car has. My advice to anyone that wants a Mokka e is to buy one that is 6months old for half the price of a new one. Initially people were told the car would hold its value better than fuel cars. Total opposite, some people are in negative equity on finance. The doors not opening is an on going no fix since 2021. Battery health dropping for no reason. But it’s not a concern that you get less mileage? Dont buy from dealers that sell for Vauxhall buy straight from Vauxhall. Buy a warranty if your car is going to be 3 years or older while you have it. Good luck getting in your car if you are a lone female and you feel u safe. The car stops opening at any given time and having to open the boot manually first to unlock your car so you can get in? Its an on going intermittent problem. Totally unsafe !

    • @RealisticDIYers
      @RealisticDIYers 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      We have not faced any of these problems in the past couple of months that we have this car. There is no door problem at all. Quite the opposite, everything works as it's supposed to work. Keeping the worth is an actual issue with all electric cars. We bought a slightly used second hand and yes the price was very low compared to a brand new one. Still though we have the manufacturers warranty. As for the battery health, we have no clue yet as to if it has dropped or not. It's too early to know. Pitty to have such problems, and we hope they fix them soon. 🙏

    Hi , great video , currently trying to decide to go full EV or stick with another hybrid for the next years ? .. Can I ask what real range you are getting ? ... and you mention adaptive cruise control , I didn't think the GS spec car had it ? .. the ultimate version does .... either way great video

    • @RealisticDIYers
      @RealisticDIYers 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you so much! Real range is around 160 miles, but the truth is that we never really went all the way to test its limits. As for the adaptive cruise control, ours does have it but not sure if this is the case with all GS versions. For our needs, full electric makes much more sense.

    Great review. Many people have the same sort of commute for work you described, for them a car like this will work great. You described about 8,000 miles pa, pretty average. If someone has a drive or access to a charger then living with one of these will be easy as long as they dont do regular 200 mile trips..

    Dieses Video entspricht leider überhaupt nicht der Realität. Habe das Bosch Gerät heute getestet. Microfilter nützt gar nix, da der Abrieb überall hin, nur nicht im Staubbehälter landet. Für den Grobschliff eines klein dimensionierten Werstück waren zwei komplette Akkuladungen erforderlich. Recht nervig. Auch extrem gefährlich, dass sich der An/Ausschalter nach komplett entleertem Akku nicht automatisch auf Off springt. Setzt man anschließend einen vollen Akku ein, springt das Gerät unmittelbar überraschend an, was große Verletzungsgefahr in sich birgt.

    • @RealisticDIYers
      @RealisticDIYers 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you test the batteries for the first time? Everyone knows that new batteries will start performing properly after 2 or 3 charges. What capacity do your batteries have? The microfilter is not holding everything and this is exactly what we say in the video! USE A FACE MASK! Do you know of other sanders at this price range that the on/off switch returns to off after changing the battery? It does pose risk of injury and this is why we say in the video that you sould have the sander on a surface when starting and stopping. What was the point in the video that does not correspond to reality? Perhaps you should give all the information before stating that the video does not correspond to reality....

    Your Not tightening the drill properly! Turn it till you hear the last few clicks then turn it back opposite and you will feel a click as it locks the drill bit. it won’t open while drilling now, seen a guy on TH-cam testing 10 drills and 8 or 9 had the feature

    • @RealisticDIYers

    How long does the 18v 2.5mah battery last, and can you recommend should I use an orbital for sanding a vertical fence to then stain, or should I purchase a different type of sander? Thanks

      We have not timed it but probably about a bit less than an hour for a fully charged 2.5amp battery. Is your fence straight edge or feather edge? If straight, a belt sander would work much faster but then you would need a mouse sander to finish the inside corner spots or do them by hand. You could use an orbital sander instead of a belt sander but it is very tricky to handle as you might find your sandpaper ''flying-off'' if you don't handle with cautiousness. Also not as fast as a belt sander. If your fence is feather edged then you will need more time with any sander. What we would do? Brush off any excess paint with a wire brush or pressure wash and paint over the remaining previous paint, two or more coats if needed. It all depends on how long your fence is, what is the colour difference, and what makes financial sense.

    Going strong with the videos! :D Quick question, you have the same wooden planks as a floor as I have at my house. How do you prevent them from getting super slippery? I just pressure wash when it gets too bad and it works well enough but is there a better way?

      Thank you so so much! We don't have direct experience as we are renting and therefore not putting the money for someone else's deck 😁, also we will move out soon. So far, we have been pressure washing as well, and it works just fine. Slippery surface is (mostly but not only) caused by algae growing. Two are the extra solutions. 1. Algae cleaner (not sure how well it works against slippery decks). 2. Anti-slip deck coating which seems to be working great according to the interner reviews.. We have not tried either yet 🤷🏻‍♂️ Please let us know if you used anything else other than pressure washing and how it worked for you 🙏

    Just a safety comment. It is bad practice to wear gloves when using stationary, rotating power tools.

      Thank you for this. We really welcome comments regarding safety. We are only diyers and do not claim to know everything. We did consider this while filming. Yet, we have not been able to find a clear official statement that supports this. HSE does not specifically state this in the woodworking practices (it does state though the use of push sticks etc which mistakenly we didn't use, as well as not to place body parts directly over the cutter). No use of gloves is stated on construction rotating machines as far as we know. On the other hand, it is stated that PPE should be suitable and fit to the body parts to prevent entanglement. In the case of this video the gloves are firm to the hands and therefore our interpretation is to use them to prevent injuries from other hazards (not particularly the planer blade). We have seen so much discussion on Facebook as well regarding this issue with varying opinions and we are not sure what is right and what is wrong.

      @@RealisticDIYers from a few decades working with power tools and seeing what gloves can cause: if your finger hits a router bit it will usually take a chunk out of your finger and release it. your skin is pretty weak, very wet and easily sliced through. a glove on the other hand is intended to be durable, difficult to slice through or tear, giving the tool the opportunity to pull the glove and the hand inside of it directly into the cutting head or blade. every training and certification course i have taken has emphasised not wearing gloves around routers and power saws. gloves protect well from slow moving things but they are very dangerous around fast moving things. try asking a professional cabinet shop, or trade school if you want to be sure this isn't just internet wisdom. i'd hate to see ya'll get the bad end of that sorta life altering injury. cheers and good luck. your channel is great fun so far.

      @jsmxwll Thank you for this. We have asked professionals from time to time (including Kat's dad, who was an excellent woodworker and clockmaking craftsman), and they told us not to use gloves in such activities. Yet there are still other professionals that say the opposite (as I describe it above). I suppose we should start following the advice of no gloves. Thanks to both of you again.

    Thansk for this, theres a distinct lack of the green/diy bosch range reviews on YT, probably because they dont sell them in the US

      We found the same lack of information. Encouraging to know that this has reached overseas. Stay tuned with our channel as we have more Bosch green line reviews coming.

      @RealisticDIYers I'm from the UK, but whenever I try and look at drill/tool ranges or reviews it's the same bunch (makita, milwauke, dewalt etc) and the "cheaper" brands being like, har our freight, which I have no access to. Green bosch reviews are far and few between, good to see someone addressing this highly looked over battery ecosystem. I have the drill, impact, torch and fan as well as a few corded bits like the oscillating tool and sds hammer, they helped us get through our renovation just fine. If I'd have opted for a "big boy" brand it would have done the same job and easily cost twice as much.

      Oh, so we are on the same page. We want to have good quality without spending a fortune, but also that will last longer than just one project. We had the same problem whenever we needed to get information on what to buy. Having spent ages researching, we thought it would be nice to share our view. Thank you for your kind words. It motivates us to do more - speaking of which we just uploaded a video on bosch cordless grass trimmer 😉 Happy Easter DIYing!
