Shut up you’re just a vshojo apologist
can you do one for ahri? that’d be dope!
if these are the beginner combos then i'm doomed
Ive been playing illaoi/ekko so it was so nice to see the bonus ekko combos
Dude thanks SO much for these!! Great combos!
in the first combo 00:00 , how can you make the tentacle not trigger to the frist s1?
You have to do Back S1 immediately for it to not trigger. You can cancel almost any attack into Back S1 or Down S1 when you have a tentacle out in the field
@@Grifftech_VT tnx a lot, i Will try to do so
nice combos! definitely gonna use these
Combo at 0:13, notation mistake, the second 8S1 is 8S2
Idk if you know this but also a bonus: if you hold S1 after the super 22S1 if there's any tentacles out they will teleport on top of the opponent for extra potential pressure! Its pretty neat
I didn't know that! I literally learn something new about this game every day. Thanks!
@@Grifftech_VT all alpha lab days playing and I still learned stuff in the very last minute, oh boy I'll miss this game
Quick question, what do the numbers mean. Are they like the direction of the input?
It’s called numpad notation showing direction. 5 in middle so is neutral and 2 is at the bottom so means down etc
@@Danny_285what about when it says D?
@@Pouletsdash
I can't seem to get that 6S2 to work, I can only hit them as they hit the ground and the tentacle pop up doesnt hit them
you need to half charge it, so not just tap where there's no tentacle attack and not full charge where the tentacle attack is delayed
I think you have to move forward a bit
I found that mico dashing and slightly charging 6S2 helps it land consistently.
Same. I honestly don’t know how long to charge it for
You need to charge it for at least 15 frames for the second hit
thanks. how's the charged overhead work in combos? not sure how to time it, there's a frame perfect timing to get the pop up with the tentacle? or does it depend on the bounce/angle of opponent when you hit them?
the air tentacle attack is from special moves, your aerial heavy has 2 attacks, if you special before the second attack then the tentacles will come out, hope this helps
The timing doesn't need to be perfect on the overhead charge, but your opponent has to be far enough from the ground to get the pop up. The bounce angle sort of matters because they will pop up behind if you hit the charge overhead too deep. But I can't get that to happen consistently.
Glad somebody said it
Finally a good illaoi combo guide! Nice video bro!
A "well-run" company? One who sat on a doxing incident for eight months, ordered their talents to say nothing, allowed one of their talents to get doxed, and then try to cancel the indie who called them out? A company that had three of their founding talents quit because of "problematic" contracts? Yes, I'm less than happy about their flagrant nepotism. Yes, I understand that they want people who can work well with their current talents; that makes sense because who would want someone who isn't going to be a good fit with the company? And yes, I respect Zentreya when she says that this time will be different. I hope that VShojo has actually learned from their previous mistakes. I'm withholding judgment about this round of auditions until I see what happens. I freely admit that I don't know what happened with the three talents that left the company, so I can't say how bad their contracts were. Maybe they wanted too much money and couldn't get it. Maybe VShojo offered them less than they were worth. Odds are that we'll never know because of NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements), which makes sense to me. All I can say is that I'm on the fence and definitely do NOT consider them a "good" company right now based on their misdeeds. As I said, I hope that they've learned the right lessons and are going to be a good corporate actor in the future, although I have genuine doubts since their CEO used to work for Twitch, and we ALL know how good Twitch is at enforcing their ToS fairly and evenly. But all this is MY opnion, for what it's worth. Anyone who feels differently is free to politely disagree with me, and I will do my best to respect differing opinions if those opinions are presented in a mature and respectful manner, and if someone has information that I don't have, I'll listen with an open mind.
5:20 kids that need to touch some grass think applying for a big "dream" job opportunity they're presented is doing something stupid.
They've long since proven that they're not interested in fresh talent, so there's not much point in most folks applying to their borderline bogus "auditions". Good luck to those who want to try but you've got pretty much no chance. But hey, their business model has been working well overall so I can't really blame them.
@@asjk21ime You're welcome!
This was very inspiring
That ain’t terry thats Jerry the fraud
Jerry Fauxgard lmao 🤣
i’m saying bro
Getting actual skins in the battle pass is a value proposition i can get behind.
Actually, yea! It would be really nice to include a skin or two in the battlepass. I hadn't thought about that.
2:54 Nijisanji EN definitely gave off those vibes the most imo
Alpha Lab is August 8 to 19.
Fingers crossed that I get that golden ticket
"If you're showing me a Ahri skin i'm gonna be so upset" Famous last words.
I know right! I cant wait for Ahri to have 3 times the amount skins as all other champs
@@Grifftech_VT lets hope this doesnt happen
Thank you for uploading this !
What people dont understand is at the end of the day.. THIS IS A JOB APPLICATION. Take everything about vtubers out. Its literally a job application. You submit your application. The company likes it... they contact you. If they don't like it... they don't contact you. BOOM DONE.
The amount of people who are actually mad that they won’t hire a 5 viewer tuber is wild.
I already made a video response about this but it was a quick video that I had to put together so I wound up stammering a lot and I didn't get to put my points across very well so I'm just going to put it all here. 1. It's even more ignorant to call it an ignorant take that Vshojo is only going to pick whoever has large following/community and what have you, because as cynical as it sounds (and really, you can't *ever* hope to be a realist without being a complete cynic in the first place, it's a package deal), it definitely is a valid take that it's really not worth anyone's time because we can all bet the farm who really is going to be selected. Although this is something that we can't fault Vshojo or Zentreya *yet* on the matter because the catch-22 of only the biggest followings getting to hang with other biggest followings is a vicious system generated by all platforms in general, and the only way this can be called an "ignorant" take is that the way platforms are designed would have to be overhauled from the ground up so that the people at the bottom can genuinely have a fighting chance, but the chances of that happening is literally zero. So the criticism is rather valid here. 2. I recall a bunch of other new creators just blow up and surpass us overnight and treat us like doormats and serve as a permanent reminder that there is no such thing as honour (let alone loyalty or justice) anywhere on the planet, and I can immediately say that this WYKEN guy is probably the worst offender, as he just appeared out of nowhere and starting copying our style and blowing up even though we've been doing music for much longer than he has (my channel has been around for 10 years; we were around long before Vtubers were even a thing), and that, again, only further proves how terrible platforms are in general, and the "that-word" that Cory Doctorow has coined kind of explains everything about what's actually going on. Again, the platforms are the ones at fault but I have to maintain, that the "ignorant" take is rather valid and there's a much bigger problem that everyone is overlooking that the naysayers are actually voicing here. 3. This nepotism/clout-discrimination isn't just limited to vtubing, it happens rather an awful lot in the music industry as well. I know for a fact that us having participated in a bunch of song contests in our career, we ended up realising how much of a waste of time they really are. Not only is cheating rampant in song contests, *THE ORGANISERS WOULD LET PEOPLE CHEAT.* There's one particular song contest organiser that I won't name because it'll only boost their reputation further and naming and shaming will only increase their stock prices and we don't want that, but not only did they, the year before, pick a winner that doesn't even fit the contest theme that they chose AT ALL, the year after, *ALL THREE WINNERS* submitted their entries *TEN DAYS LATE* . It clearly stated in the rules that late entries won't be considered, and they went back on their word. Nijisanji's terrible practices PALE in comparison to this company in question, and the song contests were basically set up as something that's basically a speculative work kind of deal, which deserves its own rant video. To sum it up, it's the social platforms *themselves* that are at fault for Vshojo's smoke-and-mirrors audition promo, but it really deserves to be called what it is, all smoke and mirrors.
Actually, an aside to this the auditions are also functioning as extra publicity for when someone is “chosen” - if it’s safe, then try out if you want to & don’t if you don’t..
Well... their first audition was an absolute disaster for publicity and started the whole bad rep. They took a year to choose someone which already bugged people but then they ended up picking someone they had already been working with (some people even thought they were already with the company in the first place). Many felt disheartened and felt the whole thing was basically a sham as they just defaulted and chose a "friend" in the end. It was inarguably bad publicity at the time and clearly still sticks to this day (and by this point they've earned that rep).
It's sad that people bash others before even trying. Try audition, see what it's like, maybe you'll get decent feedback and will be able to improve and might get accepted on second or third try. It's same stuff as normal job applications, hundreds of applications in hopes of getting a job - won't apply and you'll definitely won't even get a chance.
@dariuse6344 Yea, the fact that this is still a job application seems to be lost on some people. It shows how over-glorified being a content creator has become.
Vshojo's application states if your not moving on to the next round you will not be notified so there fill be no feedback given
@@brandonhowell5096 Just like every other job. If you don't get the job, you don't get a call back.
@@brandonhowell5096 yup, just like any job interview.
People feel so overprivileged these days, wanting everything without putting in any hard work. If someone wants to complain about stuff like this, it's better to just ignore them and their guaranteed failure than worrying about their opinions. Don't forget that many of the amazing talents in Hololive applied and were rejected multiple times before finally making it into the company a few waves later.
the defeatist attitude a lot of smaller vtubers is kinda sad. just try at least. be you and the rest will follow.
@krazykorean2525 Exactly! You never know what good may come. Just put yourself out there.
They don't HAVE to join an agency in the first place either. Also, never do it strictly because you want the success; do it because you enjoy it.
VNepo
Jeez, It's almost like Vshojo is a company, and small vtubers aren't entitled to get hired just because they're small. That's some virtue signalling bullshit. They hire the people they seem suitable, just like any other company. The bigger indies or ex-corpos with sizeable followings are better return to investment than some literal nobodies, and if the people who seem suitable for them to hire turn out to be friends of the current members (which a sizeable portion of the bigger indies and ex-corpos tend to be), that just means that there is a precedent of the getting along with the current talent. But people just huff copium and cry about nepotism instead of getting on the grind-set to make them a more enticing potential hire. It's almost like the people bitching about this have not worked for a company a day in their life. This isn't complicated stuff. No company wants to hire a money-sink, they are literally trying to make money, not spend it on trying to boost a nobody which may or may not turn out profitable in the end.
People are just assuming VShojo never considered smaller creators on the last audition when that is simply false. Anyone can go on google right now and search for "VShojo audition update" and see their update tweets from november and february (Update tweets being something other companies also don't do btw). There are various replies and QRTs of smaller creators thanking them for the opportunity or saying that they didn't pass the first and second stage of auditions. It's just demonstrably wrong, but I guess people just prefer to believe in random twitter users and comment sections.
They can hire who they want. Reminder, its a business and if its easier to hire someone you know for a while because you know they won't cause the company issues to a total stranger who can be 50/50 good or bad because its unknown territory.. you know who they'll pick.
@Man0War_Loki Its surprising how many people wont agree with your statement. Literally every reputable company does the exact same. Why should VShojo be any different?
@@Grifftech_VT They've already decided they hate VShojo, so everything they do is automatically bad, no matter how mundane. It's the "b**** eating crackers" phenomenon. "Look at that b**** over there, eating crackers like she owns the place." If somebody doesn't know the difference between nepotism and networking, I have to assume they're a minor who's never held a real job.
@@Grifftech_VT Exactly. They are also going to sponsor your streams, whether it be games, merch collaborations, food, etc. They need to know if you're a professional and won't say something that can sink the partnerships and harm the company (and the other girls' careers). Also, the world of top Vtubers is small, which means that when you're at the top, you're likely to become friends with one or all of the girls in Vshojo through collabs or mutual acquaintances. If you're on their stream, that means you've been grinding and working on yourself, so I think it's nasty that because of everyone's jealousy, they think these friends should be excluded from getting their chance.
@@Grifftech_VT The other agencies simply have the prerequisite of having been able to establish an online presence (in any field of content; even if past tense). Not specifically already having been a successful vtuber like VShojo wants.
I don't have my model yet. I have no content to apply with. I feel like applying would not be a good idea in my situation. I also would like to begin as an indie to see if vtubing is even what I wanna do. I've heard both sides on the matter. Regardless of how why when a company does its hiring and even if you don't feel like you could do it, I also encourage people to just apply anyway! You gotta put yourself out there sometimes and it starts with you! I know it sucks if you are rejected. But you gain a lot from going through the process anyway. You never know either, even if its a rejection, someone at Vshojo may still notice you which could open up into other opportunities. On rather if they only hire Zentreya's friends, may be true? But if that was always going to be the case this wouldn't be an "open" application.
@moonfiend9259 Exactly the point I was trying to make! And I didnt complete the application all the way through as I was trying to rush this video out, but I didnt see where a model was required. A surprising number of popular vtubers were able to join orgs without prior vtubing or even streaming experience in the past, and the company provided the assets for them. Not sure if that will be the case with this situation
Gonna have to disagree with you buddy boy., While nepotism is part of every business (I personally have experience against it) it is never the deciding factor. The problem with Vshojo is they have been STRICTLY nepotism since it's inception. Even the last auditions which resulted in nothing but the backstabbing of a common collaborator and the doxxing and swatting of a smaller Vtuber ended up getting Haruka (someone who was basically honorary Vshojo) hired as a talent. Vshojo isn't like every other business, they hire less people and they hire on a less frequent basis, regular businesses can get away with it because they hire constantly, Vshojo hires by either scouting or auditions once every 2 years. No shit people were worried about nepotism, literally every single talent that is currently and previously from the company was friends with somebody already in the company. Matara, Kuro and Michi being close friends from Niji EN Nyanners, Vei, silver and Froot being friends for a long ass time Kson, Henya and Nazuna being friends from their PL days and Kson herself being friends with all of the OG Vshojo girls. Vshojo isn't your typical company, while yeah it's normal to hire people you work better with, don't hold auditions if EVERYONE isn't considered, and don't say everyone is because out of the thousands of applicants we got last time we got one person they could've literally scouted. It's a colossal waste of people's time and energy.
Man, if you knew how most of Hololive JP and the early gens of Nijisanji got there, your head would explode
I mean, there's a sample size of 1 where being a friend isn't just a bonus and an obvious addition: Haruka. Nothing else thus far was open. And among the other potential names then, most of the other obvious ones were also friends (Snuffy and Anny for instance) because the vtuber world is very interconnected. I don't really get this framing
The vtubing scene is also extremely oversaturated. As soon as vtubers blew up, everyone and their mothers whipped out an avatar, including extremely popular streamers who used face/body cams.
@@anakomaruI feel like that period slowly faded out, sure there's a lot more vtubers in the market rn but you don't get ppl like pokimane streaming with a vtuber avatar to ride a trend
Not to mention vshojo is a black company and will send people to harass you. The company is awful and just full of zens friends and zen himself does not support small streamers and has even said they hate small streamers. Anyone defending this terrible company is being paid too much and opinions do not matter. Applying for nijisanji is better than applying for vshitjo. Not to mention vshojo openly doxxes and harasses their talents and sends people to harass others. Look at the nux drama. None of them have yet to apologize for doxxing and harassing him.
I feel like this is one of those things where, there'd have to be extraordinary circumstances for them to risk taking someone smaller. Not because they're small, but because they're unproven--they haven't dealt with an audience and all the positives and negatives of being sizeable streamer. They might be bad at dealing with people, or even say things that start problems for the company and the other talent. They might end up being very inconsistent content creators. It's fairly obvious that it takes a lot for someone to compete with sizeable streamers who are already friends--it should take a lot, those people have earned a lot Of course, everyone benefits from vshojo opening auditions to all and being open to hidden gems that would fit in some unique way. That shouldn't mean they have to take someone smaller--then there's no point, then they should've just gone scouting instead
Having to be extraordinary to even be considered applies to a lot of things in life not just job applications which yes this is one
@Erideah I agree somewhat, but do not believe they would be able to determine if someone can handle the job? Do you think they wont thoroughly, interview each potential candidate and review their past content (if they have any)? Its still a job posting so whoever is the best candidate will get picked. The better your experience, education, and reputation, the better your chances. That's how hiring generally works. The simple fact that smaller or new can potentially get noticed is not something to scoff at.
@@Grifftech_VT Oh yeah. My guess is mostly about how, once there is a shortlist of names, most of them are going to be familiar and proven--and I think that should be the case. If there's one or two lesser known names in the last handful, that'd be big, relatively speaking, and I'd probably expect that those few had something really special to bring to the table--that's entirely possible, especially if they just didn't have resources to get ideas off the ground
@@Grifftech_VT Definetely. But seeing established vtubers get picked and crying in response considering all that is simply sad. They could take the failed audition as an opportunity to learn and develop themselves and instead they blame an imaginary lottery.
I want all these people who are crying "nepotism" to give me a good argument why they should chosen over a Mint Fantome or a Porcelain Maid? BTW, I'm SURE that blasting vshojo on social media will increase your chances of picked by the company. Surely. People act like this is a lottery, like vshojo is just going to pick a name out of a hat, and if the person picked is someone the current talents have intetacted with that it's "rigged." IT'S NOT A LOTTERY. Choices will be made based on QUALIFICATIONS, and because people aren't equally qualified thise that are more qualified have an advantage - that's how it works. People act like if there is a recruitment for a new CEO of a Fortune 500 company that if they send in an app with "3 months at McDonald's" and "mowing lawns" down as their resume that they've got as good of a chance as everyone else. No, you don't. That's not how it works. It's a real indicator of how little these people understand how the Real World works; they're utterly clueless, and I'm guessing 99% of them don't have a job and live with their parents. Yes, you SHOULD take the opportunity to apply, it's a good learning experience. It also shows that you are SERIOUS about working towards that goal, not just expecting someone to be stunned by your talent and plucked from obscurity "as you deserve." But when you, like NEARLY EVERYONE ELSE who applies, is not chosen, you weren't "robbed," the system wasn't "rigged," vshojo didn't "lie to you." Vshojo did what literally every other company in the world does, they hired the most qualified person.
I was gonna dislike for the clickragebait thumbnail. But your take was pretty good so I just went neutral
@RZ-yk2se Im gonna be 100% honest with you, I felt ashamed putting that in the thumbnail. I hate click-baity titles and stuff as well, but they are a necessary evil.
It's very possible after all the backlash they got from the last audition they are making more of an effort to hire unknowns, this kind if doomer posting is going to ensure you don't have a chance.
Yea Sakana, the CEO of Phase Connect even said the worst thing you can do as a Vtuber talent is vent on Twitter. No imagine you go to apply at that is the first thing they see when they look you up.
The history of vshojo open applications doesn't look good, Between scammers doxing and swatting applicants and they not hiring anyone(yes Haruka but that was like year later) through the process. I don't think it was fake NO but for whatever reason it did get cancelled. Do I think the New applications are fake NO, But it does seem the case of talents pushing them to be open and try again. There is a reason to doubt I do think they are putting a legit foot forward as well.
@129das "There is a reason to doubt I do think they are putting a legit foot forward as well." That statement there is huge. Because they can easily just continue doing what they have been doing and say screw open auditions. They have been wildly successful and could have easily rested on their laurels.
Actually the worst thing that could happen 😂
And i was not even preparred
