Well you literally hit him with all your barels plus Q, ignite, passive and runes, he also started mana crystal, if you weren't able to kill him after all of this then Gangplank would be in an even worse spot than he is now.

If they revert to old ER GP will be OP 100%. I'm pretty sure that GP mains don't realize that the champion is in a good spot right now, triforce is bad on a lot of champions that relied on it ! But GP doesn't absolutely rely on it, if you compare to the most played top champs in high elo or pro play, GP can be picked into most of those champs, even blind picked and do just fine. I have to remind you that triforce being in a bad spot doesn't effect GP's efficiency vs tanks, the base kit still makes GP a reliable champs vs tanky comps. On the opposite, check Garen, Darius, Jax, and others that I'm forgetting, triforce was an option for them or a way to circle around counter matchups. Now it's gone, you can say hello to another year of Aatrox/Gnar/Rumble/tanks meta

TriForce is factually better than old ER into certain match ups. old ER is better overall, but not better in every single scenario.

Short answer only sheen sucks build tri force, long answer only going sheen means losing 200 dmg at lvl 18 this build is just to flex that you can 1 part consitently if you cant just stick to tri force and double barrel setup most matches on top ur perma camped so you cant really scale anyway

I did the math. 18lvl, no damage runes, e + q combo against 80 armor dummy. I calculated 4 semi-full builds and the cost for each point of damage. > build cost / (crit damage * crit chance + no crit damage * no crit chance) triforce + collector + ie + cloak + cloak 11,133 gold / 942 av damage = 11.8 gold for 1 damage sheen + collector + youmuu + ldr + cloak 10,300 gold / 923 av damage = 11.2 gold for 1 damage sheen + collector + ie+ ldr + cloak 11,100 gold / 1010 av damage = 11 gold for 1 damage sheen + collector + opportunity + ldr + cloak 10,200 gold / 952 av damage = 10.7 gold for 1 damage --- So it depends on how much of the utility u are willing to sacrifice (as / cd / health / other) and what powerspikes u like the most. Only sheen build seems valid tho, I was thinking about it myself but avoided it for some reason. Thank you, haytem, for ur research!

if you want you can check my utility gangplank build, the only GOOD offtank gp build to 1v9 nakedsnake51 on TR server, watch the game it was crazy, definitely a banger, the game with movement speed items I wanna see you and solarbacca try a build and gameplay style like that it was a truly crazy game, full splitpush movement speed gp while I waste enemys time my team can finally farm push and kill farming mfers that alone in other lanes, it was peak gangplank gaming, he felt like a bruiser once again, GP is so op with raise morale ult to a point you don't need to build damage to have enough damage if everyone in your team is a damage champion just don't solarbacca ult.

Literally the obly good thing triforce does is doubling sheen dmg. Not worth the 2.5k gold over sheen
