Is it possible to download the patch?

I get output from Boss GT-1000 with a "stereo jack" into Tascam Mixcast 4 mixer/sound card which has stereo input sockets ofcourse I have annoying latency which sounds like extra delays and reverbs added into the effect (I have no problem with the "line L-mono" output) GT-1000 output device selected to recording or line/phones, doesn't help Sampling rate of the mixer (sound card) was 256, I increased it to 512 then 1024 then 2048 and it didn't help Any ideas?

I'm wanting to send different stuff out my output on my vocals. 1 mic with preset 1 sending left mono but if i switch to bank 2 I'll be right xlr output. I'm wanting to have preset 1 as main vocal then preset 2 out of the right xlr go out to my looper. Like an A/B type setup so it will mute each side. It seems to be giving one side of dry and other other wet all in one. Looking to able to mute that dry on preset 1 and vice versa 🤔 I'm trying to use 1 mic only

Hi this is superb info, however, When for instance Angus young used to plug in to a Marshall with no effects, would the sound engineer have to have done all this or is the only required for modellers?

Thank you for the video. However, in the core version of gt-1000, there is no "output level" in the menu of the "main out". Or have I overlooked something.

I'm not sure if this is only a CORE issue, but when I use a distortion pedal through one of the send/return loops, I have to turn the pedal's output level all the way up to get a decent signal back into the CORE. With the pedal bypassed I get unit gain. This doesn't happen when I run the pedal directly into an amp without the CORE. It feels like the output level on pedals doesn't respond properly when going through the send/return loops. I've experienced this with my DS-2, MT-2, and CS-3. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Thank for the great video!

Thanks for you big efforts to make these videos. What’s the difference between the manual screen and memory screen. I edit in memory and save to manual but the memory also changes from factory settings. Is this correct. Thom.

Might be a stupid question but can you run the multi effects pedal plugged straight into a speaker cab and just use the amp effects on the multi effects pedal

I’ve setup 3 different input setting for my different guitars. Is there a way to recall them via a midi command, rather than physically changing them on the panel when I change guitars?

Nice one, sounsds pretty amazing. I just have a question. What's the cable config you used?, I find just connecting the output of the GT into any RC600 instrument input a bit problematic due to output and input levels, but since no send/return present in the RC haven't figured out the proper setup.

Is there a way to move patches in the order that you want them? Maybe copy the patch to a user setting? I only use about 4 of the preset patches and I would like them in order that I use them. Ie…. Harmony upper & lower, then vocoder, then delay etc?

First of all, the sounds you are getting out of the GT1000 are some of the best I've heard without a doubt, kudos to you for all the time and effort you put into this. Your tutorial is detailed and comprehensive and will no doubt save me countless hours of trial and error in searching for that sound. I have the GX-100 which is basically the same structure of the GT1000 so everything you have provided will pretty much apply verbatim. Thanks again for sharing this information, I certainly appreciate it very much.

Can you go Sherrif -> GT1000 with only the cab sim on the GT? That would eliminate the need of two notes. I am considering replacing my OX Stomp with the GT, but I don't want redundant cab sims. But I've also read that it might not be possible to have only the IR/cab blocks without the amp block on GT.

Hi, I have an Boss RC-500 looper and try to connect it to my GT-1000 by using Send/return. I put the Send/return as far as possible to the right in the chain. But, when Im playing a backing track on my RC500, and change from amp in the GT-1000, the sound of the backing track is also changing. The amp switch react on the sound of the RC-500. Any thoughts what I do wrong? Cables are from GT-1000 Send 1 to RC-500 A mono In, and from the A/mono OUT RC-500 to the GT-1000 return.

In the mixer, In order to hear the instrument I am playing, I need to set input mix at 120 and loop level at 80, does this sound right ? I will try this tomorrow ...

Thanks for these videos - it’s difficult to find much online about this nice little Boss unit. One question as I’m about to buy one; are you able to make the vocoder and harmonies play only one assigned pitch? Sometimes called ‘robot’. I will need to do songs where a vocoder robot voice drones on the root note. I can’t see any drone note and drone note settings in the manual. Thanks!

I found another way; put a "classic-vibe" with the same settings as the trem but very little depth before the trem

Thanks for addressing this issue. Roland/Boss offers very little info on the proper level you should be using to record in. Bottom of page 8 in the manual only shows a vague illustration suggesting where the meter should be. Leaves lots of questions. For example, is that level peak, RMS, or what? I see you used meters on a mixer pre and post RC-600 to get your input levels. However, I wanted to share how I worked this out a different way and got very different results. To start, with no looper connected, I set up my pedal board (which includes a Digitech RP360 digital effects unit) so that master volume had some headroom (up only about 70%) and most importantly, the audible volume when effects were engaged was about the same as when the effects were bypassed. That roughly got me unity gain without the looper involved. Then after connecting the RC-600, I found the line level option on the RC-600 input setup was much lower in audible volume while the inst. level was about the same. That tells me with input set to instr the device is likely working in the neighborhood of -10 dBu for an unbalanced signal, which would be appropriate if plugging into the front end of an amplifier as I do with guitar. Problem with this is despite my attention to unity gain, the input level on the looper is showing me not enough level for recording purposes, and I barely get the meter to register at all. But the question is: Does it really matter? It still sounds great. I hear no evidence of a poor signal to noise ratio. Still, it bugs me that the RC-600 input meters suggest something is wrong. If you know the meters need to be registering somewhere closer to the 100 mark like the manual illustration suggests, please share. I have yet to consult Roland on this.

Hi! Is there a way to send ONLY the wet signal to one xlr output? The output mode FX/DRY or FX/Bypass doesn't work: the FX output contains dry signal anyway so the combination of the two xlr output on PA mixer result in a double dry signal that sounds weird..

My input level has to be +10db in order to to reach the space you mention at 1:22. Is that normal? I feel thats way too high. This is with my guitar volume at 10 and using bridge pickup
