There isn’t a link to the glue
Why not put the entire sheet on rather than strips?
Because when you brush it off, it comes off in lots of small pieces that are hard to reuse! So it's just a way to be sparing with my gold leaf stash and make it last longer 😂
Very good tutorial. Clear instructions. I am going to try this with my grandsons. Think you have given me confidence to show them .
Thanks for the fine video. But where is the link to the glue 😊😊😊😊
So I have been told Elmer's glue could work also. But I'm a little confused with either one. You say let dry until tacky. How long is that? Or does it stay tacky even when fully dry overnight?
Hi, I haven't tried Elmer's glue, so I'm not sure, maybe try waiting 5 or 10 minutes and checking how it feels. You want the glue to still be a bit sticky but not totally wet, so I think leaving it overnight would be too long!
This is stunning. 2 questions: 1. I have used that crackle paste and it didn't crackle. What could I be doing wrong? 2. when you paint over the white crackle, how do you prevent the top color from seeping into the gold underlayer? Thanks! Would love to perfect this technique.
How thickly did you apply it? In my experience, a thin layer might not crackle obviously, and the thicker it gets the bigger the cracks are, so I would experiment with that! And to avoid the paint getting into all the cracks, use a relatively dry brush and paint mix, without much paint on it 🙂
@@CoyasauceTried various levels of thickness and still no luck. Thank you for your response!
Love the first one… second, not so much, but your piece with the resin finish is mesmerizing !!! 😮😮😮
Thank you so much!
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel. This is an amazing piece and your teaching style is excellent, especially for us newbies. thank you for sharing - I’ll try to catch up on many of your other tutorials. Cheryl in New Jersey. 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you Cheryl!
Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
Pretty. ❤️😍🇩🇰
Brilliant. Pebeo mixtion is clearly the way to go for amateur artists.
Love these
Your demonstration is so clear and makes it all understandable ! Going to try again after abandoning months ago- thank you 😊
O YES! Im gonna try this! Thanks so much for the inspiration 😁
Great video!! Thanks so much for the tips!! ❤
Is it okay to use varnish to seal off gold leaf? Thanks
i found 99.9% alcohol but it is industrial grade.
Velmi krasne, prosim co je to za vodicku bilou?nez tam date ingoustove barvy❤❤❤❤dekuji mnohokrát
Can you use liquitex gloss varnish if you used gold leaf on your canvas?
Love it!!,
Do you know if it works on chalk painted surfaces? Apparently, it comes with a warning: contains Xylene. Unsuitable for certain surfaces, like finished wood.
I haven't tried that I'm afraid, I feel like it might be ok but it wouldn't erase off 🤔 just a guess though
Great video. I love that there is no background music. I have trouble picking up on voices with most music so this is wonderful! Thank you!!
Loved this video - thanks! ❤
Very helpful video..and good without background music too. Now i will varnish my alcohol art..
This is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL Your Video was so Professional EXCELLENT Filming and Editing
Thank you so much!!
@@Coyasauce I teach Acting... but I used to make Commercials... and I still have that EYE for a good video I tell people... if you can turn off the sound and the video/commercial can still "Sell" or "Tell" you what this is without words or sound... Then it is GOOD And this video is GREAT
How do you keep the resin from adhering to the tape?
The idea is it adheres to the outside of the tape (instead of the coaster edge) so then you can peel off the tape and have clean, resin free edges :)
This is a great video, it was very helpful☺ Thank you so much for the art tips!
Glad it was helpful! You're so welcome 😊😊
I decided to skip background music in this tutorial, let me know what you think? Do you prefer just me talking (with a few silent sections), or do you miss the ambiance of some lofi background music? 🤔
Thank you for sharing the beautiful work, you can see perfectly how laborious it is and the dedication it requires. I wonder if the brass and gold pinata behave the same... I have the gold and it always ends up in the background of my painting. 😞
I got the gold first and I had the same issue, Brass actually makes a big difference! No idea why but worth the upgrade I think :) ✨
You're a sun. Thanks for the help, I'll tell you...@@Coyasauce 🤗
Excellent tutorial! I also live in an area with high humidity so this is definitely going to be something to try.
Glad it was helpful! Good luck, let me know how it goes :)
Thanks.
It is so frigging cool i would definitely buy it!!
Aw thank you!
I’m in love 😍
they look so beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Huge thanks for sharing! How will the technique work in case when some areas must be covered with masking paint?
Since the paper is porous, masking it off wont work well (because the inks will seep through the paper and under the masking tape/fluid. Might still make a bit of a difference so feel free to experiment!
Que artes lindas q vc faz 😊
I love listening to you say, "Gold Leaf" 😅. It was a really helpfully video and thank you for the product suggestions. Is there any reason why this adhesive wouldn't work for applying gold leaf to a stained glass piece?
Sorry for the delay! I think it would work well on glass, especially the mixtion relief one :)
Absolutely gorgeous 💚💚✨✨🤍🤍✨✨
Thank youuuu :)
Beautiful painting and great tutorial.❤
Thanks so much!
For what a heck you need isopropyl alcohol at your face?
It's for art not my face 😅
This is gorgeous! 😍 Thank you for sharing this process!
No problem!
Wow! AMAZING.
Absolutely gorgeous effects on watercolor paper!
Glad you think so!
2:33 my cousin uses a make-up brush! it works so amazing but so does your paint brush! 💜
Are those pieces you showed in the video on watercolor paper? Also is the painting you showed with the resin done on canvas? I love how it looked so thick like a piece of glass. I'd love to know, can you can get that look on cardstock, mixed media paper, or watercolor paper? 😃
Yes it´s a watercolor paper! The painting is done a wooden art board like all of my resin art! You could experiment with other surfaces but it needs to be a solid support otherwise it will warp or sag with the weight of the resin ( and the resin would soak through any thin porous materials like paper). But if you mount paper to a wooden board then it should work fine!
YOUR WORK IS SO BEAUTIFUL
Thank you ❤
Thank you for posting this video! To get a really crisp edge, can you use masking tape with the adhesive?
I haven't tried it myself but let me know if you give it a go!
Hi, Stephen. That sounds like a good thing to try. I was wondering if you found masking tape too sticky if Washi tape would work? Of course depending on the type it might not be sticky enough. It's actually been a long time since I've used Masking tape, I usually use painters tape for crafting so maybe I'm picturing Masking tape as being more sticky than it is. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it in case you experiment with the tape. I'm also very curious to know the outcome. Have a great day/night!
😍😍
Beautiful!🧚🏼♀️💕
Great video! LOVE THE MUSIC! It goes together.
