I remember thinking if Leona doesn't win X-factor I'm leaving the country, she was so clearly head-and-shoulders above everyone else. But the music business is so shallow and fickle. With a voice like hers, why hasn't she had a dozen hits since?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?

Perhaps this is why she doesn’t sing live so much anymore because of the criticism she faces. She has been one of the greatest singers the world has ever seen. Not many are able to go on sustaining power and reach certain notes after years of ‘belting’. Just leave her alone!
Also what I will say is that every single cough, cold, flu, throat infection we have as people affects our vocal chords. Singers are not immune to this.

Although her tune is still good, the voice is much weaker than before and I think that she doesn't feel comfortable in the whole performance. The overuse of falsetto is creepy

No power left, but she still sounds nice and she finds ways to make it work. The final run was beautiful. She will always be my fav singer no matter what, she is more than vocal gymnastics anyway... Her aura, her music, her personality, her tone have a special place in my heart. ❤

Yes no power left compared to 2008 but all singers age and Leona sounds equally as good in the lower tone she now has. Love her version of this song for ever❤

I completely agree with you. This performance was part of Hopefield Animal Sanctuary where Leona is a trustee. So regardless if it was a big stage she would have done it.

Leona does suffer with Hashimoto’s disease which affects her voice, however Leona has adopted a new style of singing, and honestly it’s so beautiful when you hear her live. Leona has proven during her CWL tour that she can still belt.
@CaelanBromell19 I bet she can deliver more, but I think she is preserving her voice. I bet she can belt certainly not like her starting career, but she can do it, and I would like to hear just one song, only one she can do it.

Leona can still belt which she proved during her CWL tour in December, her style has changed, and I think people should try get used to it. However, her new style of singing is actually fantastic when you actually see her live.

What seems very perceptible to me is that Leona very much sings in the mixed register from g#4 to d5 and beyond. This shows in the more forward placement and less full & round tone compared to when she used to belt more in 2018/2019. To me the most obvious sign for the forward placement is when her teeth show. This was rarely the case in her prime 2007-2013.
