Fitting a TRITON amore DuElec Shower, is it any good?
This was an install of a TRITON amore DuElec Shower, it’s a 9.5kw electric shower. This shower has a twin outlet attached to the shower rail that feeds a fixed head and a shower head on a flexible hose. As an electrician that transitioned more in to plumbing and maintenance I have a lot of experiance with electric showers and with that also comes my opinion on the quality and reliability of these showers. Home owners usually see a design and look and most of them base their choice on looks and there is so much more to look at when choosing the right shower for your bathroom. Us plumbers have different ways of doing stuff, some like plastic pipe others copper and they all have their opinions on thread paste an how effective it is. For me paste on olives and lubrication on O-rings is a must. But that’s my opinion. Just as all customers have their opinion and choice on tile colours and design, I tend to think some get it so wrong when it comes to colour and lighting, depth colour of tiles and lighting is the most important parts in designing a bathroom m. But hey I’m just a do called Jack of all trades.

Excellent video, what’s the top coat?
Hope ot holds long term, as the fixings are only holding to the tile, and not into the wall
It will prove the tilers worth then
@srvsocial well the tile manufacturers worth, cause its more likely to crack the tile over time than it is for the tile to come off

No lo sé Rick. Me pareció ver una gran ventana.
How has nobody asked about the kneeling pad?!? Before I even Google it, as it’s a McAlpine… I already know it’ll be unaffordable.
It’s actually not that expensive and to be fair really good, it’s probably cost me more money on knee pads that fill up the shelves in my unit because none of them do what they supposed to do. 😂
Ha nearly got me lol 😅
😁😁

Fehlt das dichtungsband falls mal so eine silikonfuge undicht wir schimmelt dir sonst alles weg. Und Holz? Richtiges Heimwerker Video hat nur bedingt was mit guter Arbeit zu tun
You need to educate yourself on how things are done in different country’s. This might not look right to you but it’s how it’s done in the U.K.
Unfortunately Pal these semi skilled lads know your good at what you do and will sort it. Problem is they get paid the same or in most cases more than us because we have to spend so long fixing everyone's shit. Make you wonder why we do it! That's the difference between a professional and a chancer! Keep it up fella 👍 top work as usual.
Thank you bud 🙏
Great job 👍🏻 excellent song !
Thank you 💪
That is 100% wortha like
My boss said just use ya good eye son and hurry up🧐
What if I’m squint 😅
Squinting works especially if very drunk
@ yea that’s called drunk vision correction 😂
I have the same problems. Going through constant trades is my job 😂
Had this the other week with a radiator valve. Flomasta screwfix garbage. Save a penny to waste a score worth of inhibitor, a drive to the merchants, another couple of hours messing about and the stress.
Totally agree unfortunately customer supplied I was gutted
Looks like a cheap shitty Screwfix fitting tbh
😂😂👌
@srvsocial not saying it is it just has that cast look the brass fittings they sell have.
Silicone
😂 maybe duck tape
@srvsocial gets you out the door door step warrnty 🤣
@ 😂 M8t this customer would come drag me out the house and back in there faster than I could change my underwear
@@srvsocial 🤣
New fear invisible cracks 😂😂😂
Imagine it was gas
Is that a wren unit?
I could not tell you bud it was supplied by customer, unpacked and ready to be mounted
Ive seen u always need abit of silicone kn them as i installed one last week an it said guaranteed not leak without silicone an 2weeks later started leaking so went back an put on silicone an its been fine, from now on i dont care what anyone says am always using silicone , thanks for video once again
Exactly it’s all about not having to go back
Proper merchants have robust fixings. Screwfix dont cut it 😂😂
Well that's definitely not true, I always use plumber merchants and even the stuff from there's getting worse and worse
Shite
Nope the toilet is on the next video you can have one in that if you like
Basin waste spot on👍 I'd probably use a telescopic trap allowing for error
i'd only put 1 fixing in each bracket and a bead of silicone down the back of the unit just to make sure
Donde lo puedo conseguir
I sort of wish I used this to attach jackoboard to wonky brick walls in my bathroom, instead of dot n dab tile adhesive. It has to be mechanically fixed anyway thru the dabs so this could've worked well. Might try it next time, it only has to hold long enough to get the screws in and then all its doing is providing a solid base for the foam board so it doesn't flex. Do you think I'm right or is it not suitable for what I'm describing? 20mm foam cement board btw, jackoboard.
You right
Nice rendering ❤🇮🇪🇬🇧
Thank you
I’ve done this a few times as the quality in the uk is shite most of the time. Better then getting a call back!!
Totally agree
This self taught person needs stopping
😂
Thats correct side, good job, its Just details.. 😄🙂🙂👍
Nice job, but its upside down, thats just detail.. 😃🙂🙂👍
Funny how it came pre-filled and assembled that way with a removable cap for the element
I can't say I've ever installed a towel rail with a heating element in ot this way before. I guess if it's supposed to be, that's just the way it's intended.
@ first for me too but that was the blank for the element so that’s how it got installed. I never installed a pre-filled one like this one. I was really surprised it was filled with glycol.
Use a pipe clip and draw around that
Nice to see someone taking pride in their work, no mess no stress. Good job mate 👑👍
Thanks bud 👍
Looks great, i wish there were more of these in Canada. I might beef up those anchors though.
Stainless screws needed surly?
I would have said the same but unfortunately customer did not want to pay the extra price, all materials were supplied by him
