Ok the SDR is Awesome!!! A full feature rig to provide background sound as you work away !!!!! Fantastic Upcycle/Recycle for older hardware. Not sure if you want to use the net on it, but adding book marks for WebSDR to also pull in Radio Signal from around the world from other users like your self who stream their SDR's.

Just a little more research could have really improved your HP Stream even more!! RAM is a good start, but removing the WIFI/BT Module for an Adapter that holds an SSD will improve things to take advantage of the added RAM. My 2017 HP Stream went from 32gb eMMC 4gb RAM to 480gb NVME SSD and 8gb RAM, the boost in performance is impressive as the eMMC is the bottleneck on the Stream. Add I went a little overboard and even swapped the display for a 1080p IPS Panel, following Tech Rodent's video . In any case knowing how to open a Stream is a good thing so Thank you for a good bit of info there!!!! Keep up the good work !!

Thank you for making this video. It helped a lot. It's surprisingly hard to find info on this. Which unfortunately probably means that when most people hit the limit of their ram, they shelve these and buy something else with more, and when they have no use for them, they become eWaste. I'm testing out a ram stick and I'll be back with the results, if it works hopefully folks will find my comment and have know of a ram stick that works since yours is no longer available.

Is it possible to upgrade storage internally using a m.2 or SSD? I Was wondering because I had taken mine apart to take a look at what I can upgrade, and I didn't see any m.2 slots.

I'm actually using this laptop ,bought it around 2021 its having major processor setbacks though would love to upgrade its specs if thats possible

Here's the kicker: If you ever get this laptop and you installed windows 11 on this laptop and not upgrade this memory. The laptop will have the performance of a 3.00Ghz Pentium 4 with 1 gigabyte of RAM with windows 7 installed. And trust me that performance is either mediocre or decent.

No you cannot upgrade the HP Stream 11, it's all built in on the motherboard

Most old versions with 4G can only handle up 8G. You can check which RAM you can use for your laptop by visiting HP website i bought a 16G but it didnt gonwith my stream 14Cx1

if you simply use it only for youtube and browsing if you install android x86 on there they run surprisingly fast and im using one now a lower end spec one (13-c101na) and itl run youtube 720p60fps or 1080p30fps smoothly and general browsing / whatsapp etc is perfectly usable. what i also did was get shut of the thermal pad and replace it with thermal grizzly liquid compound which with no fan made a huge improvement. unforunately the one i have has no memory upgrade like yours nor any m.2 sata or any other expandable hardware other than micro sd slot. but its a good cheap worthless worry free beater laptop for general hoisting around type of entertainment. to be honest if it breaks gets stolen or lost etc i couldnt give a rats either.
