DST Festival Trailer
The first (and likely only) official festival trailer for the new short, DST.
When Dr. Sara Tyler is confronted by a violent home invasion, she soon discovers that her attacker, Kyle, is more than he appears to be. Driven by an all-consuming dedication to an unprovable conviction, and armed with a terrifyingly methodical plan, he exposes Sara’s deepest secrets and disrupts her ideas about herself, and the man her son will grow up to be. Despite this, Sara must face-off against Kyle and convince him to turn away from an oath to carry out one of the most heinous and violent acts imaginable.
DST is a raw, up-close look at the impact of individual decisions on the course of history. This action- packed 13-minute film explores the implications of one of science fiction’s most famous tropes: “Would you go back in time to kill a young Adolf Hitler?” and deconstructs its commonly accepted righteousness. The film challenges the audience to consider what they believe, and how a theoretically moral decision stands up in the face of the people, families, and devastation involved.
By using a single location, and restricting the movements of the actors, the film locks us directly into the psychological and moral components of the debate, as the two sides volley back and forth with compelling, emotionally charged arguments from different sides of impending calamity. Sara must argue the amorality of actions intended to prevent the deaths of millions, in order to save the one child she loves most. Kyle, driven by desperation, has to come to terms with his intention of ending a child’s life to prevent the future that destroyed his family, the inevitability of which is dragged into question by the simple, but profoundly impactful calculation error that brings these two immovable objects into conflict.

How an ORANGE explains interconnectivity...🍊
มุมมอง 5173 ปีที่แล้ว
Okay, so that title is a little click bait-y. So sue me... When people or companies talk about being "in it together", what they're really saying is that there's an inherent connection between and among people sharing similar experiences in the world. So in today's video, I wanted to explore the concept of interdependent origination (also called codependent or just dependent origination) or, if...
How to balance different philosophical outlooks...

Unless you're a monk, it's hard to go through life as a perfect adherent to any single school of thought. Different circumstances will call for different approaches sometimes you need to be understanding and empathetic, while others call for disengagement or even potentially hostility. How do you know when it's time to choose one path over the other? Well, this video is a good place to start......
5 times you should think like a beginner...
มุมมอง 2263 ปีที่แล้ว
Everyone wants to be an expert in something. Our entire civilization is built around the idea of developing skills and rising up through the ranks to be at the top of your game, whatever it is. But something tricky happens along the way: people get so used to the idea of knowing things, that they stop being open to learning things. This can cause an intellectual stagnation, and worse, conflict ...
3 Mistranslations that Shaped History.
มุมมอง 2003 ปีที่แล้ว
The right words at the right time can be the difference between life and death. But what happens when somebody gets the words wrong? When you mistake "secede" for "succeed" or vice versa? The wrong word choice can shape our history and view of other people, just as much as the right ones. So in this video, I wanted to look at how three mistranslations changed our outlook on the world. 0:00 Cold...
How do you know what you know? Can you believe it...?
มุมมอง 6773 ปีที่แล้ว
There's what you know, and what you believe. They're not always the same thing. But, how do you tell the difference between knowledge, fact, and belief? I wanted to dive into this to try and better understand how what we think influences what we think we know, and how those beliefs shape our outlook on the world around us. Consider that the things we believe influence our selection of news and ...
Is acceptance really the answer...?
มุมมอง 2603 ปีที่แล้ว
"Acceptance" is a concept that a lot of people talk about; whether it's ancient philosophers or pop psychologists, talk show hosts, or bald dudes on TH-cam. But, what's it actually about? Do you really have to "go along to get along"? Are you supposed to give up all your values, morals, and sense of right and wrong just to avoid conflict? Nope... SOCIALS - Follow along! What happens when I meditate...
มุมมอง 8063 ปีที่แล้ว
For years people have asked me what meditation is like, and explained that they "can't do it" because they "can't focus for that long". Trust me, we've all been there. This is the closest approximation I can convey of what my average session was like for years, whether it was minutes or hours long. The "voices" and self-talk have evolved over time, but not by much. I can never adequately convey...

If there's one essential question that faces all of us, it's the question of who we are as individuals. Male vs female. Good vs evil. Paleo vs vegan. Humans have been grappling with essential questions of existence for as long as we've existed. It's no surprise that different groups have come up with different answers. If you don't set your own priorities, other people will do it for you. This week we have a huge opportunity in the US to set the agenda for the next four years: will we push ourselves to be more open, inclusive, and caring? Zero day with such an amazing movie and I absolutely love it, I really related to the character you played and he made me feel so much less alone, I love this movie and I love you thank you so much
i am normal and can be trusted with a firearm
Found out I bought the movie years ago and still got it to this day I watched it about 2 days ago and tbh it’s one of the most realistically shot and haunting films I’ve seen in a long time but with such a small group of people behind this film it’s truly amazing what you guys pulled off !
When I was a teenager this movie really stuck with me. I don’t know how I ended up here but I enjoyed listening to you. Sad to see that you’re not posting anymore i hope you’re alright
Hi! Im lowkey late but i wanted to say that Zero Day is a masterpiece, thank You so much for this movie. It helped me and my friend realise the massive consequences of certain actions(we were both bullied and into some heavy dark topics back then lmao) Im also so happy to see that you are doing well,i wish u best:D u are an amazing actor
we miss u andre
Someone get this guy a wig
hey man thanks for zero day cause i find a weird comfort in cals character maybe cause he reminds me of myself a little but yeah its sick to see you doing good and stuff thanks for the movie and wish you the best :D
YOUR THE LITERAL BEST. I think you played andre the best and I'll always love his character SM!! Your amazing and made the character have so much life it seemed so real
Together with elephant 2003, to me, zero day is the most surreal early 200‘s found footage true crime esc media ever.
Early 2000‘s*
ANDRE🙏
king andre please come back to us 🙏🙏
hey wait you look like that kid from zeroday!
This was filmed at my school !!
Just finished watching Zero Day for the first time a few seconds ago (I loved it btw) it's so weird to watch this video, it feels like I'm watching Andre Kriegman after he turned his life around and became a youth pastor or something lmao. Huge respect to you bro, your acting in Zero Day was amazingly chilling.
What do you think of people who draw art of Cal and Andre from zero day? See, i myself have drawn some and i find it harmless, however i'm not really sure if it is.
do you have any advice for an amatuer filmmaker such as myself? I've recorded a few fanmade music videos but that's it, I'm in the younger demographic (semi-early teens) so three or four years younger than you were when you acted in zero day. perhaps even some opinions on my current work??? whatever the case, I love your work andre!
Wow. I cannot believe you only have 3K subscribers, your content is so high quality and is on par to other channels that have millions. Alas, I’m just glad that I’ve found this gem of a channel and I hope one day you’ll come back and continue creating more content on TH-cam. Thanks Andre!
Zero day was the most disturbing movie I have ever seen in my life.
lol
not really it's rather tame im sure there's a lot worse
I was obsessed with this movie from 2020-2022. I was seriously traumatized from cancerous infections and seemingly eternal pain. I found a lot of comfort watching it. It was a wonderful movie. Great acting and the shooting scene was too realistic. Good job man. 👏👏
Would love an episode with the cast reuniting.
These videos are great, please come back and keep spreading that wisdom 🙏😪
I hate that I just found this now, you have such an interesting perspective on this subject and this is very well said!
I love u pookie 😇
I'm a teen I just watched a summary of zero day (Im scared to actually watch it) but seeing you happy is super cool
lol
You should watch it, it’s definitely a good film. You’re not gonna end up on a watch list, nor is it that “scary” (unless you think of just how realistic it really is, and how you never know what other people are planning to do)
Watch it!! It's more sad than scary
This was beautiful found footage movie
I’m like 4 years late but what a fascinating movie :) i hope ur living a great life
bro i thought this was a vsauce video
recently watched zero day for the first time and damn it’s one of if not the best found footage movies i’ve seen you and cals acting was phenomenal it all felt so real might definitely be my favorite movies of all time
hi mommy
oh my god Zero Day was my obsession a couple of years ago, strange that I never saw this video, I searched for the movie to see it and this video appeared so I take this opportunity to compliment you on your acting in that movie, it was crazy, also the movie was really well done, most of the movies that deal with that subject are not very realistic but zero day was really realistic, I remember people saying around that it was the real Columbine footage😭💀 I would take it as a compliment honestly, that movie should have had more recognition.
The movie felt like a document, but actually everything documented. It really felt like i was in the moment with them even though I would never do such a thing
I love you andre
i'll cry if u didnt notice me
are you still alive? pls dont die. i love you so much.
My birthday is may 1st lol. Weird seeing you so grown
There also a documentary about columbine that has a very similar name to zero day called zero hour
dude talks the exact same way 20 years later
True
andre if you ever answer this but zero day has a fandom now and ships cal and you (movie wise) what is your feeling of it?
Andre is a gamer confirmed
I’m happy you’re actually a good person 😭
Fr its rare to see
I have told people about this movie for years. Glad I found this today. I’ve watched so much dark stuff in my lifetime, but this is a film that kinda never leaves you.
I just finished watching zero day!!!
