How good this, you can come do mine
Hey I just sold one for 400 bucks. 6cyl auto. Motor was very smoky, auto was good. Wow dulux rebuild.
Love watching your ford stuff Haydn, excellent channel. Watched this episode when you first put it up, and have just watched it again. I didn't notice it the first time, but did just now, how come the dent is still in the right front gard? Keep up the great work, you can never have enough FORD's
@@stuartsmith836 Thanks Stuart, means a lot! I was trying to keep it budget and was borderline over capitalising on it so unfortunately the dent wasn’t as important as the clear peel and rust, but the new owner is my apprentice panel beater so hopefully he fixes it! Totally agree, more Fords the better!
I think I remember seeing that EA , was that at center Rd wreckers.
@@radioaustralia5070 that’s the one!
G'day make, Good video, I'm in the process of getting my ute ready for paint...Is 2K better to use? I've never used 2K only acrylic
Hey mate, definitely 2K is better it will last longer and won’t fade in the sun but horses for courses, if you’re doing it at home acrylic is a better option, a bit cheaper and if you don’t mind rubbing back and buffing
@Haydntickford Why not 2K at home mate
@@SassyXR6007 Just because acrylic dries in the air so it’s not bad for your lungs or neighbours and all the stuff in your shed doesn’t get covered in overspray which is impossible to get off
@Haydntickford Understood mate, acrylic it is 👍
Nice mate! AU Great cars.
What a nice EA! 4 speed and tibbe locks. Good job. Glad to see someone saving them from the wrecker.
Excellent job mate, very tallented👍🏼
I just found your channel hahah love this video i brought mine for 2k 2005 ford territory ts needs a bit of tlc still but im driving it everyday and slowing building it up be a little light offroader haha already got steel wheels and a awning lol. Definitely subscribing hopefully more territory content soon!!
Thanks mate!! Good to hear you got one! My terry is on pause due to money and time but there will be another video one day soon!
@Haydntickford hope so haha it's hard tryna find youtubers who fix up territorys and do modifications on them or barn finded it
@@Haydntickford.
Any chance you could do a vid on all the cars you have now and what your plans are for them?
I’ve been thinking about doing this! Or individual videos on each car I own? Not sure but I’ll do something!
Sounds good, I'll be waiting!!
Great series mate! Humble beginnings from when you found and drove her from the wreckers on death row! The wheel arch pressure washing was especially satisfying thanks for sharing 😁
Saw the wheels in your title thumbnail and picked it! Not wierd, an old nugget!
Good eye! Not many would know the Carla wheels!
@ they were a blacked out version of the Laser S wheels….”twin carb”!…
Great job bringing her back mate you done well 💪
Another EA saved!!
This looks like a limited edition Falcon 30th Anniversary Classic, released in May 91 as a runout special, you got the 4 speaker Fairmont stereo, the colour keyed decor panel, different seat trim to the normal GL, a limited choice of metallic paint colours and 12 months free service when new.
Fantastic video. Well done 😊
Another ford saved great job mate 😊
Sad to see it go. Good job working on it.
Great little series mate love it!
Love the vid mate good to see the EA back on the road you did a top job. And yep those KMs (with the trip metre still working) must be genuine, how good!!
Hope the young fella doesn't turn it into a drift missile.Well done on getting it back to life.
Hope to see more of the EA in future. Thanks for the video. Brings back memories of my EA when I used to own one ages ago.
I really enjoyed every minute on this video, and I would love to see more in the future, particularly with all the e-series Falcons/Fairmont stuff. Thank you very much for saving the old girl and keep all the Aussie Ford's content coming
Awesome mate, thanks for saving the old girl. Great job. Keep the Aussie Ford content coming 👌
You got it mate, love these old Aussie cars!
Just awesome👍🏼
Thanks mate!
In the late 90s early 00 I crushed these cars just for scrap metal. Should have kept a couple. Love your videos Hayden.
great get, she's adorable! pretty good condish after four decades .. obviously FWD but have people done any other engine swaps on these??
Great video n good little car my old man use to have a ford meteor 1985 got us to Broken Hill and home 2 times had it for 10 years before she died cause we couldn't find a replacement engine ~sigh~ ah well looking forward to all ur classic fords around town mate 😊😊😊
Great find there. Rare alloys on it, so well done on saving her! But 91 fuel? Only use 98 on these 1980s cars - especially with ones which have sat around for ages!
Thanks mate good idea, I’m planning on draining the fuel anyway so cheaper the better for now!
@@Haydntickford Ah yeah, that's fair in that case. Definitely not worth it if draining. Look forward to the clean-up on this old girl :)
They run fine on normal 91 ULP thank to the Japanese origins of the driveline. Japan went to ULP in ‘75. The KB Laser S ran those wheels. They seemed to be everywhere, and then they vanished.
That’s beaut
Great stuff, you really do need to save this one - someone has to, otherwise in another 20 years we'll only have Barra turbo falcons, and older Falcon GT's left to represent what was a far more diverse local motoring history than that. Brought back old memories...my second car was a '81 KA Laser Ghia with the 5 speed manual, and it was a great little car. That console piece with the tape deck are all factory items, so keep and fit them. Speaking of spare parts, you should still be able to find them around your local wreckers, they are unlikely to be advertised online though, as they are not a common restoration project. Good Luck, and I'll watch your progress with interest. Cheers!
Thanks mate! I could not agree more, that’s exactly why I think it’s worth saving to show people young and old what we had and what was good enough for us once upon a time. Also to show what Australia was 40 years ago and how the roads looked everyday!
Exactly right. That's why I saved a 1985 AR Ford Telstar TX5 Ghia, as I had the same one as my first car. We had so much variety on the roads in the 90s with new and used cars.
Awesome mate. I remember those wheels from many years ago. These were a very popular seller back in the mid 80’s. Best one to be alive.
So cool what a bargain
Grouse old girl What a survivor If it didn't live under a carport it'd probably be to far gone Please do her up and do content on it At the very least a cut and polish a vacuum and a cruise to a local beach or some cool local hot spot would be a great video mate
Spot on mate, I absolutely agree! You’ll see it happen, trust me!
Would be great to see you refurbish it back up to trim.Deserves it for surviving so long and dodging the crusher.
Thanks mate you are so right, survived this long it would be criminal to end her life here!
That’s a neat little car. Owned a 323 when I was younger.
Gotta love the carla zampartti wheels
I agree! Such a unique design, not something you would see today!
Love your channel mate but we need more content!!
Thanks mate, I’m working on it!
Mate great colour match she's looking fantastic love seeing new ea video pop up 🥊
Looks bloody awesome. Great work👍👍
Nice job mate i live in the same town as u looking forward to seeing this on the road keep up the great work 👍👏
Lose the music please
Not a fan of Sabbath or want more talking?
@@Haydntickfordtry Captain Beefheart - sort of similar just a tad more gnarly!
dont listen to them. who doesnt like a sabbath song while working on a classic falcon ! keep it coming
Your car looks awesome. The paint job looks mint. Well done. We had a 1988 EA Falcon s pack many years ago and we replaced the centre console from an EA Fairmont. It looked much better.
Hey mate, what paint code did you use for the grey part of bumper? Did you use 2k direct gloss for the grey?
@@danielhayes1000 Colour code is EA BUMPER GREY Formula 86112 a local paint shop can mix it for you, 1:1 10% ratio no clear
just did the same mate haha. Nice job!
@@Sucobuilt haha love it mate nice job! I chucked you a like and a sub! Keen to see more on it
@@Haydntickfordappreciate it!! That black eb you did turned out super nice too
Good to see the EA getting some love
Thanks mate, she’s definitely been getting that
I have one as well hence why I subscribed
That’s awesome mate, they are a really good car in my opinion, basic, easy to drive and very comfortable not to mention affordable!
Yeah some parts are hard to get especially if it is a Fairmont like mine is with the crazy denim style interior in blue is made of unobtainium
Nice one mate, looks solid 👌🏼
only thing i would have added is bosch aerotwin wipers .. she needs them!
Thanks for the support everyone! Part 2 coming soon!❤
Ah the old days when u didn't have to take the whole front off the car to change a headlight. Have a BA xr6 and its a lot harder
