That is awesome you got it on the first try that way! I'm not at all a pro, I paly it once a year and sometimes I get it in the first couple tries and others its like 5 minutes lol. For the video it was my third attempt.

I actually haven't played 8 for more than a few minutes, it is on the list. I really enjoyed 7 back in the day but I think 5 is the best one for me. I played the ps2 version with that just amazing music. I totally forgot about having to play 8 (there are just so many games). Thank you for the reminder and I will get into it hopefully soon!

I know very little about the PAL version of the games but happy to toss out an idea. Firstly I hope you have a PAL BIOS file, the one I use in this video is not for PAL games. Second you can try forcing the PAL BIOS file instead of autodetect like it is setup in this video. Is there a reason you can't just wing it in 60 fps?

Hi@@OldAngryGasm Thanks for replying, I appreciate it :). Firstly, I do have a PAL BIOS file. The game itself loads up (which couldn't happen without the correct BIOS), but it crashes when trying to load a level. Secondly, I have attempted to overclock it to force the FPS increase by setting the FPS limit to "unlimited", but to no avail. If you have any more ideas, it would be much appreciated :)

@aaronhall9077 Ah ok! I love trying to troubleshoot over this, I'll try to replicate the error too once I know a bit more. You say a game crashes on level loading, which game? Has any other game worked correctly yet? Thanks for taking this in stride as well...hopefully someone more knowledgeable can fix the issue but maybe I can stumble on a solution with you until then.

@@OldAngryGasm Okay, I have tested it on another game (Crash Bandicoot 1) and it works fine; when I force an FPS increase to the standard 50, the game speeds up as a whole from normal to cartoonishly quick (music, character speed etc. it's quite amusing really). Anyway, I'm not sure why CTR is freezing, have any more ideas?

sotn.io/ , you don't need the cue for duckstation but you will need to manually open the rando file. You will also have the bin, the cue is just for the tracklist.

Yuppers, the conkram mirror crash. Sadly your choices are to keep trying and hope with epsxe or move your save and try a different emulator. I've had good luck with duckstation and use it for everything after 20 years of epsxe usage.

​@@OldAngryGasm btw sir. did you get evil talisman right after you beat van saryu? does that bug dont trigger the freeze in conkram mirror?

@@jhoneilbrentbatac1459 I grab it ASAP right after the mist is cleared. I have never noticed it having any effect on if the conkram crash happens. For me it has always just been luck sadly. If you're still stuck and can send a save file let me know, I can try to get it past the spot and send it back!

Ha, thanks! I really have been enjoying them since they finally gave us a 4 star fire sustain. Pitch-Dark Hook the Great is always a fun one to toss in every now and then! That light cone was my goto forever, I now am a bit lazy and just use on the fall of an aeon when swapping to a destruction character that isn't blade.

Im not too sure if there was a buff at some point but as of making the video it was very underwhelming IMO. I've read some things on how it is easier to catch furniture with the gold rod and from my testing it did improve your points per minute on average but not at all by a huge amount.

I do not have an xbox controller to test but the common fixes so far have been assuming the controller works for other things on your PC: hit esc key and then hit toggle analog by changing the controller type from dualshock to gamepad while the game was running. (go into settings> general settings>controller and select a profile) Possibly the buttons are not mapped? Also this is found in the controller settings

@@Gamer4Retribution well I am terrible at troubleshooting controllers I don't have but assuming the controller works on your actual xbox...possibly it is a drivers issue. From googlfu it says to reinstall: Plug in your Controller then got to : Device Manage > Xbox Peripherals > Right Click on the Controller > Uninstall (or Update Driver) > Unplug Controller > Restart > Plug In.
