I’m about 500 hours into this game and it’s still fun. I came from old console version and probably have 1,000 hours on it.

Cartel House also has a large amount of concrete in it. All of the drug houses have concrete since it is a slightly suspicious white powder. Little idea for a new video. How about something on high value salvage targets? Not POIs, but individual objects. Like lootable cars are probably the highest value salvage targets in the game, and they give a ton of resources for the effort. Even broken cars are good salvage, but give way less for almost the same health. I think most ceiling lights are a waste of effort, but the desk lamp is slightly higher value because it can drop brass as well as iron and electronic parts. Every computer and TV in the game is a good salvage target because it gives electronics and iron for 300 health. Rolling chairs are amazing, you pick them up and scrap them in inventory for 6 leather, or you wrench them for 2 leather and a mechanical part. Metal chairs scrapped in your inventory give more metal than using a tool to break them. Some chairs give more when broken down with tools instead of in inventory (specifically the black chairs with metal legs, tool to get 1 wood, 1 iron). There are several different kinds of sinks, and I like breaking down the metal and plastic sinks but not the porcelain sinks. I think toilets are a waste of time to salvage. Vending machines are a great source of steel (until you can get a crucible). Street Lights (the one on top of poles, not the smaller stand alone lamps), and electric Transformers are also easy to find early sources of steel. Oh, and gas pumps too. There might be others, but these are the easy to find sources. Table saws are easy source of iron bars. Most kitchen appliances are good for scrapping. AC units for easy pipes. Well, lots of good things to scrap. I'm sure you know, and actual new players would benefit from some hints. Oh! Breaking down safes after you loot them. You could scrap an ATM, but those reset so I don't like scrapping them even if you do get steel from it.

I’ve made my base at the cartel house. I liked it.

So I encountered another random glitch today. I play on console. I have a 4x4. And a drone and they were both loaded with loot. And I was on my way from the snow biome to the wasteland to start my adventure in the wasteland. On my way to Joel my 4x4 started sinking into the ground and ultimately I fell through the map. I waited about 5 minutes and I am still stuck. So no choice but to exit and load back up. So I did that. I come back into the world. I spawn where I started to fall through. My Jeep is gone and my drone. And all of the loot that was in them. I lost my work stations and all. This ever happen to you.

This is my story,I love this game I live in a country where is not easy to buy a game in STEAM,in fact I'm playing it now thanks to a friend,I'm 53 and I live in Cuba.

I believe that house is a nod to Keanu Reeves. My understanding is that he spends a lot of his time. In just a common home. One that is just cozy and comfortable and you can just put your feet up and relax. But obviously his primary home in a Mansion in CA. But he does own several houses that are just your standard homes.

Don't throw Old Sham Sandwiches away. You will get loads of them and whilst a last resort to eat ( take a vitamin first ) they do have a use. Store them until you get a beaker for the campfire or a chem station. Mixing a sandwich with a bit of nitrate and a water you can create Antibiotics. No more Honey "stump" hunting for those damn infections.

The simple tip of POI loot bonuses apply to ALL containers, including the yellow, blue, and red bags dropped by zombies. If a zombie drops a loot bag close to a high rated POI, they should see if they can loot the bag while in the POIs range. In early stages of the game this can be the difference of finding a starter weapon or tool and seeing the T2 weapon or tool.

As a veteran player, since A14, i'd like to throw another tip out there. This isn't necessarily about looting, as it is about salvaging, but you still get loot all the same... If you have maxed out Miner 69'er, and maxed out Salvage Operations, you don't need to carry around a pickaxe and axe when looting POIs. The impact driver, with those 2 skills maxed out, will get you roughly the same block damage. This means you only have to carry an impact to break crates and hardened chests. This saves a precious slot in your inventory for more loot! I recommend putting the following mods in: Bunker Buster, Iron Breaker, Wood Splitter, Ergonomic Grip. Also you can break down ANYTHING in a POI with this setup, and get tons of good stuff to sell! :D Something to add onto your double dipping tip: you can actually infinity dip. By activating the quest and then leaving/rejoining the world, the POI resets but the quest is back in a state of needing to be started. You can do this an infinite amount of times, but i find this very cheaty.

Thanks once again for another helpful video. But now I've got a question about the loot bags and loot-stage-buffs (like Eye-Candys). When is the moment it works on the loot bags? When I kill the enemy and the loot back spawns? Or when I open the loot bag? In the end there are a few situations where it makes a big difference (e.g. in horde nights, if the first enemy drops a loot bag it can take 15 minutes or more until I get a chance to open it)

Every time I see a military clothing rack at a savage country or a shotgun messiah I expect a good peice of armor but instead I always get 5 cloth. Every time this happens it hurts my soul

The Rogue outfit has a bonus not defined in the description. Faster looting equivelant to 1 point of lucky looter allowing 5 points lucky looter and rogue outfit to instantly loot all containers/cars etc

The only tip I can add to this list is to get a bicycle as soon as possible. Easiest way to get a bicycle is to do ten quests for a trader. Early on, it is easy to become over-encumbered. That penalty can slow down your character greatly. Whenever you are in a vehicle, there is no movement penalty. In addition, each vehicle has inventory slots, allowing you to transport more items.

I’m such a pack rat hoarder in this game. I take everything. I don’t double dip. After I get the ak47 I go hunting dire wolves and infected bears at night. I get about 5-7 bags in a night.

Beginner tip : The desert does have easy to collect Yuka fruit to make boiled Yuca juice

Getting 2-3 points in lucky looter early game is fantastic just because that 40-60% looting speed is amazing and will save you a fair amount of annoyance and time. A way to maximize your looting is clearing out multiple POIs in a neighbourhood and then swapping to a looting set and pop a looting candy so you can loot multiple places at once with the maximum loot level.

Thats a good reason to grow it. 2 be true, i never gave the trader so much attention, most for the missions and some magazines if i am lucky. most of my dukes are from the treasures. I am more of a loot goblin, crawling in every corner, grabbing what i can😅
