I like how one of the cameramen dances a bit when the theme starts. 😸 Thanks for the video!!!
Thank you for posting! Very interesting.
The theme of the next 4 years of Trump!
its certainly damaged corrys reputation. its crap now.
As coroner I must aver I thoroughly examined her and she’s not only merely dead she’s really most sincerely dead
To me, this version sounds better than the original
and now its ruined

Glad I have seen this, what a great moving story. May Coronation Street go on for many years to come. I still watch it even now.
Yes it was best years ago the story lines were good 👍 but now since they moved location years ago its not the same channel 4 the same woth HollyOaks great when it first came out even though they are still in the same area there is more voilence than ever in these tv shows they lost family values more than anything now
I still watch it ❤
I was born in 1960, the same year Corrie started.Grew up with Stan, Hilda, Annie, Albert, Elsie, Ena, Minnie et al. Now, thanks to woke, it's unwatchable. Anyway, thank for the memories.
When one of them dies first, they should show the one whos still alive, attending the funeral - to make the lifelong collage complete, on the final series.
Why change what was great.
Hilda got it right. Its a back entry. A ginnel is between the houses. Loved this. Thanks
You've all done very well 😉
I stopped watching it 10 yrs ago as it seemed to me (in my opinion) to lose its charm. The question the creative team should be asking is....what would Tony do? Like at Disneyland when their creator and visionary passed away....... The team all said "what would Walt do?"
Oh GRLNLDL! Once upon a time, you were better than this!
Wait! What happened to Mr. Rumbold?

I watch every Sunday night on our PBS station out of Dallas. KERA channel 13.
Love this scene but no one wants to touch the fact that the coroner claims he thoroughly examined her yet her body is still pent underneath the house lol he didn’t touch that body lol
It's got a wicked theme song. Great classic show.!
Please bring back the carry on films ❤
why does film not come on

Love love love Thora Hird I've just watched 'Lost for Words' she was sublime
This theme tune was the very first piece of music ever to combine rap with sampling. Discuss.
I came across these old 1960-1970's episodes on TH-cam and its absolute gold. Today's soaps are so ridiculous (evil twins, possession, everyone is super rich and glamorous). I didn't grow up in GB, but I know all these characters in my hometown. Plus, the HUMOR of these episodes: Ena/Elsie slanging matches, The Ogdens, the snarky Mike Baldwin, the loudmouth Vera, etc. just brilliant!
Hi, yes spot on - for me the very best years were up to the end of 1970, it was very nearly as good until 1984, still excellent in parts until 1997, and mostly rubbish since, with moments of greatness of course, usually involving Blanche. It's so great that more and more of the old episodes have been turning up here on TH-cam, I've been watching the 1970 ones - I can watch twenty in a row and the time just flies by - such brilliance - drama and humour, all character driven. There are some brilliant actors in it now, but the writing is no good any more.
Rest in Peace Kenneth Cope

I remember hearing this blaring out from the cinema loudspeakers in the 1960s - catchy tune and great ending!
RIP John Inman 1935-2007 RIP Mollie Sugden 1922-2009 RIP Trevor Bannister 1934-2011 RIP Wendy Richard 1943-2009 RIP Arthur Brough 1905-1978 RIP Frank Thornton 1921-2013 RIP Harold Bennett 1898-1981 Are You Being Served was a BBC TV sitcom which ran from 1972 until 1985 with 70 Episodes and a film from 1977 a "One off" special was also made in 2016. It was one of the better TV sitcoms from the BBC..... It was certainly up there with the best.

@@zaftra Why are people devoid of a sense of humor these days? And he was me thinking they sold iPads in 1972 in the Grace Brothers department store on the first floor. Errr, thank you for letting me know it was Ties & Hats said Brian sarcastically.

The other running gag with Edie that I also loved was when she would give the front door handle an almighty tug to make sure it was locked, walk off, turn back, and give it another bash. Like her posh voice for the neighbours' ears, it's just funny for being real. We all do those things to some degree.
Those two together were always so funny. Both superb actors.
If cornation st started 5 or 10 yrs ago it would be scrapped now
Sounds like Elastica according to Richard Osman?! Think I can hear that.
Was walking in the supermarket isle and heard this on someone’s phone. Couldn’t wait to get back to my truck to scroll TH-cam. I’m an American remembering this from my early childhood 🇺🇸
