What an epic and masterpiece way to end a game, RDR1 will always be on my special memories😔🙏🏻

just finished this game for the first time. played it on the new pc port. best game ive ever played. cant wait to try undead nightmare and rdr2.

When my mom was dying of cancer, after the doctors said she had 3 months to live, she fought for every fucking day of a year. This song, I found it, and I had never played the game. I played it for my mom, and we sat there and cried for a good hour, and she kept asking me to replay it. After an hour of listening to this song on a loop, she told me " I don't know who that is, or what that song is called, but I'm using it as my anthem. So, when ever you are caught in a corner, remember this song, and remember my fight. I was given 3 months, And I fought it for a year. I didn't give up. So don't you dare, ever give up. Ever. " This song makes me feel powerful, but it's also a painful memory for me.

listening this song after I finally bought Red Dead Redemption for PC... 14 years in a waiting. Thank You, Rockstar Games.

Finally, part 1 will be released on PC and many people will have a chance to play this wonderful game

It's kind of a giant circle, Jack's first time meeting Ross was when he was gone fishing with Arthur. And now that he's a worse man than John or Arthur, all to kill Ross, he meets him fishing. The only difference is, nobody is there with Ross. No Milton, no Arthur, just him and Jack. That shows that Ross was always alone, while Jack being more lonesome and horrible than Arthur or John, had to stoop to his level to kill him.

I remember the scene where this music plays in the game. Jack shoots the bad guy and says "You got red dead redemptioned", it was beautiful!

While it's probably just coincidence, I wonder if someone at Rockstar knew the lyrics well enough to reference them in Rdr2 - 'And you've given them all you can give.' Arthur says to Dutch "I gave you all I had." Deliberate or not, it just shows how well this song fits both games in many ways.

This song...man. No song makes me a feel as many emotions as this. The story and ending of RDR1. Combined with the sweet nostalgia of 2010 as a 15 year old growing up with my mom and grandmom. When time's were better and easier 🥹 RIP Nani. I miss you everyday...

The first time I had played RDR1 when John died I sobbed.

I learned a lot from red dead 1/2 is that your going to pay for your consequences eventually so it's best to make it right for the time you get. 💯

This song truly sounds like John's final bout. His reasoning to fight a losing fight rather than to escape. John quite literally gave everything to the Pinkertons. Killed every single old crew member, started a new life whit legal capital as a farmer. Even was willing to be kept under the radar and supervision.

3:28 is the most emotional part. I can see Jack putting down John’s revolver shortly after killing Ross, riding off into dawn, and remembering a conversation between him and Arthur while fishing about the meaning of life. Ready to start again.
