Lost my wife of 20 years four months ago tomorrow. Stoicism has been a part of my life since high school but is much needed now. I've had many challenges in life but as a man in my 50's grief is by far the biggest challenge that I've faced. They say the stronger the love, the stronger the grief so apparently I loved her through and through. Ironically at Christmas '23 I asked my wife for a new copy of Meditations since I lost my copy in a house fire a few years before. It is a study version that has helped immensely.

I disagree. Given the generations/decades of crimes, homegrown terrorism and treason for which the predecessors and now the current version of AIs have been used for... I will say it has been used as the most destructive unknown covert weapon the World has ever been subjected to without their knowledge. While it COULD have been everything we wanted, those who controlled it, created a situation that will cause such a blow back.. that the reality is that Technological future is NOT as certain as the AI scripted narratives claim. If we can't control the Corruption of those in control, we are defenseless and this becomes a different kind of fight.
