overall a peak vid however some stuff is not right. prior to the infection, radiance did not control bugs through a hivemind. unn is also not confirmed to be a slug. PK likely did not intent for a vessel to literally lack a mind, will, dreams, etc. WL (and by extension) seemed to believe that purity was a base state of vessels. so, PK wasnt necessarily looking through vessels for which one was pure. there was no way to tell. also, we dont know why PK picked that specific vessel. THK having emotion, or forming a bond with PK is not the cause of their impurity. THK was never pure to begin with. the bond is just evidence of their impurity not the actual cause of it. PK most likely did not die from void. in every other instance of void killing something, there is void leaking from them, PK does not have that. additionally, PK is said to shrine very bright. he could easily repel void and would not become victim to it.

I was so confused about the lore of this game! I thought that the point was that THK was the source of the infection and in defeating THK you get infected. I then saw a 100% run and saw the true ending. Now everything makes more sense!

They didn’t just see the radiance statue and start dreaming about her. From seer’s dialogue, we are informed that a few moth’s kept their fate, and remained worshipping the Radiance. This kept her alive, and she slowly fed off that worship to become strong once more. Once she was strong enough, being the god of dreams, she began forcing everyone to see her in their minds, especially so, in their dreams.

Thirdly, Unn’s people did not entirely join Hallownest. From the pilgrim’s way signs, and the freaking name of the area, it is made pretty clear that Unn’s territory extends far beyond the lands of hallownest. It is just that Unn allowed a path to be made through her greenery to connect the kingdom of hallownest’s edges with its heart. Hence the name: Greenpath.

We see signs of intelligent society in deepnest, with them having their own functioning monarchy. The weavers were also clearly capable of higher thought. How do you explain Herrah making the decision to sacrifice herself to have the blood of a higher being in her kingdom, Hornet and the Midwife’s intelligence, the Weavers from Weaversong’s companionship, or the freaking kingdom with advanced architecture such as the beast’s den, if they were just stupid? And the Stalking Devout which you explicitly show in the video literally has the word devout in its name. One can’t have fierce loyalties which it protects with genuine battle strategy if it’s just stupid. Once more, I’m left unsure of what game this is representing, as while it might not fit anything else, the lore in this video clearly isn’t accurate to Hollow Knight.

Well, no. The Radiance did not have a hivemind prior to the kingdom of Hallownest. If this was the case, the game wouldn’t have happened. As we see the Pale King clearly struggling with the infection and the hive mind later on. If he could end the hive mind, he would’ve by now and hallownest would’ve been fine. If he couldn’t, the moths would never join his kingdom. And besides, the rest of the bugs didn’t even worship the Radiance! They had no affiliation with her until Hallownest fell. All in all, the only way the game could play out as it does would be if Radiance was just another regular god before all of this got her to hate hallownest.

There are just a few timeline errors here. You posit that first the Radiance started the infection, _then_ the Wyrm started fighting against it, _then_ it died and transformed into its smaller form as the Pale King. I believe the order is reversed. First, the Wyrm travels to Hallownest knowing it will die soon, then it transforms into the Pale King, starts the kingdom of Hallownest and elevates the area's bugs' minds from their natural, beastly state. Then the Radiance starts gaining a hold of some bugs' minds and an infection starts spreading. Another small correction: The Pale King doesn't personally examine his vessels and cast ones he finds not pure enough into the Abyss. Instead it's believed that the vessels (the offspring of PK and the White Lady) are born in the Abyss and are naturally infused with the void located in their birth place. The first one to complete the climb up the Abyss to the ledge we see in a cutscene as the Knight's (the player character) memory is trained by PK and later becomes the Hollow Knight. Some vessels manage to escape the Abyss through other means. For example, there's a boss called Nosk located at the very bottom of Deepnest, at the same elevation as the Abyss. Nosk is clearly a deformed vessel infused with more void than most other vessels and has decorated its lair with multiple of its dead vessel siblings.

There is no proof that higher beings can't....... Propogate with normal beings. Also, why couldn't PK fuck WL? There is proof that void kills living things - the dead body holding the love key. How could then PK spread seed with herrah? She would die. Edit: just forgot to say that in silksong, she drops a white cocoon, not a void ghost after death.
