Thanks Claudia! Yes some of those books sold for excellent $$ - the one on the thumbnail has an interesting story - it was from the 1970 and was an autobiography from the founder of the Mayo Clinic. The buyer paid a total of $102.30 to have it posted to him where he worked - at the Mayo Clinic!

Great question Lisa - there were 2 reasons: 1) I had to change my photo setup to accommodate dresses (which was a pain in my butt) and 2) when my back was at it's worst I was having trouble standing and staying steady enough to photograph the dresses. Having said that just having to change the photo setup and move lights etc each time I needed to take dress photos would have been enough of a reason - it slows down my process so much that I would have eventually stopped for that reason alone.

Yeah it was huge and so well laid out. Makes you wonder though - all that space and still all those cages of clothes out the back.....

I think I need more information on this one - what do you mean by factory distressed exactly? I've had a few pairs of jeans where there are gaps in the side seams or a button missing, so probably not anything like you're talking about.

Thanks Felicity. When you fill out the info for an international postage label on MyPost Business (AusPost) you have to put in an item weight and then a package weight.

Thank you Kim. Yes you did hear me correctly. It seems that information hasn't found it's way to those working in the Post Offices, but I've had it confirmed via voice and in writing. The only ones that contribute are "satchels" and apparently a padded or bubble mailer is no longer considered a satchel.

@ Geez I hope they don’t turn around and then say a padded mailer is not a satchel and then not able to be used for flat rate postage. I’ve had few people at the post office question it sometimes.

@ No they can't do that as the bubble mailers actually have it printed on the top can hold up to 5kg etc. Just the thought of them changing that makes me cringe and would mean a huge change to postal policies.

Yes and No - they don't matter at all when it comes to the price, that is calculated purely on weight. They also don't matter as long as you are at or over in your measurements, but I have heard of a post office not accepting a parcel that was bigger than the measurements, even though the weight was still correct.

I agree, the idea people have of what is involved is vastly different to the reality. Stay cool.

The $5 fill-a-bag sale is fantastic for me, although it does reaffirm my belief that these oppies have too much stock - which they wouldn’t if they sold it cheaper per item in the first place!
