I really appreciate your videos! I can't wait until I get the budget to start my project!❤👍
This video just demonstrates the different options and what they look like. It gives you no information that we would really need to choose any of them, such as strength of each type of connection and max load weights and tolerances in different directions.
Do yo have connectors to join two pieces together at an angle? 30°, 40° , 120°?
Thank you for reaching out. We do offer options that can connect extrusions from 30° to 120°. Please contact tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com to learn more.
What a strongest fastener and second one strongest for aquarium stand, about 1000 kg glass and water.
Great question, the standard anchor fasteners are the strongest fastening connection we offer. Depending on the design and extrusions used, we have many fastener options that would work well. For additional information, contact tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com and learn more about the connectors we offer.
Sehr gute Technik aber viel zu teuer schade es sollte nur Hobby bleiben firmen können sich das gut leisten aber der mit kleinen Geldbeutel nicht 😢
I love the idea! But a good 1st step should be to make it fit screen on phones. I was really bummed that it was such a bizarre, and overplayed format. An app would be great! Im totally fine with an app. I'm constantly wishing I had an app to design ideas I have on the spot. I'm currently wanting to design a new workbench with frame, and fencing systems for my router table, table saw, and miter saw as an all in one unit (especially since good wood now costs more than extrusions.) And being able to adjust the design on a 3-D planning with drag & drop would be great. (Plus I'd be able to order exact lengths without having to spend time cutting down pieces.) So, I really hope the program improves!
End fastening is quite achievable for the home or light industrial user. You need only a jig to drill the access hole, and a tap to thread the ends.
How well would these work in saw dust? I’m looking for a better option for router sled construction. Linear ball bearing rails get fouled quickly by fine dust created by routers.
Please send this request to tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com for information on the bearings working in saw dust. Thank you.
Are these not on your website? I want to see the sizing options and buy one but I can't seem to find this product on your website. Can you give me the link? Thank you.

How do you change the presentation of a fastener. Example- fastener presents at the bottom slot of member by default. It cannot be rotated or otherwise moved to the top slot.
Thank you for the great question. Along the main support bar at the top of the software, you will find the "show fastener" button, this will allow you to change your fastener. We previously release a new video regarding this fastener option that you can watch on our channel. For more information, please email us at tbuild.support@bonnellaluminum.com, thank you.
How do you access a saved project to resume work on it?
You are only able to save projects if you've created an account through TBUILD. If you have, the top right menu button will allow you access to all projects you work on. Thank you.

how much force can these pivots withstand
Finally a good video explaining all the different fasteners. I got so frustrated with the 80/20 TH-cam page. They have the most cringeworthy instructional videos and don’t show or teach you Jack.
Do the connectors work the same even if you miter the ends of the of the pieces before putting them together? Just thinking through it logically, I think that it would, but I am not sure.
Depending on the degree of the miter, most of these components would not work. We have a line of products that can be used for mitered extrusions. For more information on these items, please visit our website or email our team at tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com
Will the plastic slots wear out after usage? I have used Igus style linear bushings, they don’t last very long, also they are not very high tolerance
Arbj, Thank you for the question. The pads are made of UHMW material and are durable and smooth. Regarding the comparison with Igus, please reach out to tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com for additional information.
I have never used this brand, but I made a guide for my 100 lbs forging hammer, and was shocked to see the teflon contact points had worn channels into the steel guide. It was the most fascinating thing I had seen with plastics.
I wasn't expecting Tame Impala when I clicked on this video.

If I have a 20x20 vslot extrusion, what series should i use?
Sweg, i'm assuming the 20x20 is in millimeters, this would match best with our 20s metric components. We don't carry a vslot extrusion line and can't guarantee our components will work with that extrusion. Please reach out to our team for more information at tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com
What I'm wondering after watching this video is have you had any experience in attaching PVC deck planking to your 80/20 channels. Okay; you want feedback? Sure thing. 1. The entirety of this video could have been conveyed with an infographic. In fact, it would've been more useful, as, during the creation process, you would be forced to fill in all of the values and applications that you neglected to mention during the course of the video simply when presented with the empty slots in the image. 2. Quite literally the only things that could have been learned here that could not have been from 15 seconds in Google Images were: 2a. Which components in your product catalog require machining (though you neglect to explain/describe ANYTHING RELATED to said machining. Does that mean "drill a hole" or "order custom extrusion profiles"? Hint: as a small business, one of those two possibilities would discourage my company purchasing those products.), and 2b. That those same fasteners offer greater rigidity. Now, that's useful, but only in a VERY limited capacity. How MUCH more rigidity? Tolerance? Runout? How much slop are we talking? Because at present, we've no baseline established. They're better than your other fasteners. Are THOSE better than Chinesium garbage from Amazon? Better than last year's models? Better then chewing gum? Better than nothing? 3. The aesthetic considerations are great and all, but it may shock you to learn that most people watching a video are not blind. Consequently, these aspects can be virtually instantly assessed by anyone who watches, even without their being called out. What am I sacrificing for those "clean looks"? Rigidity? Flexion? Tensile Strength? How much? 4. Are any of all of these factors influenced by configuration? Say I'm joining a simple square: is the horizontal strength equal to the vertical? In a vertical configuration do I want the vertical or the horizontal struts on the outside? Why? 5. Why would I get less rigidity from a "machined" joint - which appears for all the world to mean "with a hole drilled in" - instead of one of those corner brackets with 7 bolts in it? The center of an extrusion's profile is pretty thin, and air-gapped. I just would think that I'd get less deflection from a solid triangle than directly mates the two faces than even a pass-through that's gripping mostly air and a thin substrate of easily-bent alloy. I assume you have all these metrics (I HOPE so anyway)... so why not share them? Why not show the various products' MDS data? Most of the people buying this sort of thing are at least semi-conversant with basic engineering principles... I don't think values like "weight capacity", "sheer force resistance" "mm of lateral play", "tolerances for a true 90° coupling" are too much for your user base to grasp... do you?
Very informative video. I’m planning to build a dolly with some 4040 profiles and was wondering is there a recommendation of joints to hold a 500lbs load?
Michael, that is a great question. Depending on the application there could be a few options. Please reach out to our team for more information. tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com. Thank you.
A more interesting video would be which combination of these gives most rigidity. In application of say, 3D Printers, drilled through and the external options are most often used. Question is, will drilled through, which allows for a lot of flex and is dependent on the strength of the material in holding a screw combined with an inner angle steel bracket provide more strength than an outer angle? Outer angles aren't always applicable because there's often a lot you want to mount near or on the corners.
Thank you for the information! Each application can vary on which fastener would work best. For more information on the rigidity and which fasteners would best fit for your application, please contact us tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com
@@tslotsbybonnellaluminum8911 I want to frame out an old landscape trailer for camping. I have no machine skills Would the nonmachine brackets be sufficient to build a modular frame and secure it to the wood deck? I intend to panel the outside with tinted patio roofing panels and tin roofing panels. Like this look 👀 Are their brackets useful to using screws to install those modular panels? Also, wind force ? Trailers are rated for 55 miles and hour. If I have a gnose bay or angled roof, would this modular extruded aluminum hold up while driving? If not should I consider it something to be put together at arrival to site I understand you can say for certain without seeing the build, so it is a theoretical questions

If I was building a truck ladder rack with extrusions, what fastener would you recommend?
John, thank you for the question, the anchor fastener would be my recommendation. It provides the strongest connection and looks better as you don't have bolts or brackets protruding from the ladder as a potential safety hazard. Please email us tslotsinfo@bonnellaluminum.com for further assistance. Thank you.

Buen vídeo, enhorabuena y gracias.
Wow this was very informative!
Glad it was helpful!
For the options requiring machining, it would be nice to show the actual machining required and the tools to do it. Showing the connectors out of the extrusions, and showing the assembly procedure would help as well.
Robert, thank you for the feedback and it's appreciated. Is there any item in particular with the machining requirements that you would like to know more of?
