2001 Honda CBR1100XX Stem Mount Install... in response to SK
G'Day viewers! I made this video in response to a question from Stephen King on my original video of the 'Stem Mount Mod' ...So why don't you show how you put the mount in???... (link below) And fair enough too. So hopefully this video helps you Stephen, and anyone else who may be interested. Thanks for watching and enjoy!

COVID 25KM RADIUS RIDE
มุมมอง 784 ปีที่แล้ว
G,Day viewers. Apologies about the video I filmed it while the camera lens was turned at 90 degrees and had to correct it via my editing program leaving it at a narrow view. This one is an intro to my new bike and to touch base with you all after COVID lockdown. I rode the whole 25km radius for about 300km and it was awesome after not being able to ride for a long time. Look out for my next vid...

Did the Scorpion Oval Carbon slip improve performance, power/torque or mainly for sound
Hi johnmignano7872, some believe it does improve performance but I didn’t notice any difference, I did the mod personally for the sound. Maybe with some tuning or a power commander you may see an improvement. Thanks for watching 😊
Lovely bike, do you still have it? I’ve just picked up a 2002 Bird in the same colour, wrong time of year but planning a few similar mods to yours. Good inspiration!!
Hi 45Camster, yes I do still have it and still love it. Thanks for watching 👍
Very good hack, what if we made the same with a shoulder that sits on top, that way it is secured and held in place within stem
This looks like my bike Is your name ben? Hahahha
@@mardukl LOL…no but I’m guessing yours is??😆
Niemożliwe żeby takie mocowanie się sprawdziło . Guma korkująca na bank zerwana !
Does this help anything with like performance wise like for corners or anything Jw ?? I got a blackbird I’m trying to learn as much as I can about it
@logan4856 I didn’t notice any difference to be honest. The only reason for lowering was my height. I’m on the short side so no longer on my tippy toes when stopping
Hello, can you make a video on how to install the gear indicator on a honda cbr 1100 xx
Hi nikolamijatovicvs, I will have a look for you. It’s been a while since I installed it…but stay tuned😉.Thanks for watching
I couldn't find such a video anywhere. I think it would help me and others. Thank you very much
Ferrari 💩💩💩👎👎👎🤮🤮🤮🤮 Cbr 1100 xx ❤❤❤❤💕💕💞💞💗💗💖💖💖💘💘💝💝💝😍😍😍😍
anyone know how to replace the RR on the 2002 model ? the wires seem to go under the battery support
I am fitting mine tomorrow!
Protector off
I have two chargers but when connected they both show blinking red lights when turned on. Are they still charging as I thought the red light stayed on when charging and went off when charged????
awesome mate done mine yesterday thanks for the tip my is blue also
Hi. I have cbr 929 rr, how much she drop with this mode?
Just Seen your video, th-cam.com/video/ELfhIPpczwU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=XXMotoVlogs is´t the same procedure on the VFR800, but on that bike is recommended you lower the front forques by the same amount, did you did that or just lowered the back side, and does it still ride strait at high speeds?

good review. i fitted a centre stand, after i dropped the front end 7mm. couldnt lift the bike either. now i push the front wheel onto a rubber matt( lifts the front about 10mm higher) bike goes up on centre stand easy. bit of a big push forward and shes off the centre stand. i ended up removing left passenger footpeg, makes centre stand operation easier too( i travel solo) hope youre still enjoying the mighty strom. 👍
I worked out a a hack for my quad lock when I realised that the hex is only a few mill deep and then opened up to the tube diameter. I looked at the drawing and it clearly indicated, I bought the wrong type for the BB. Doh! Now I’m stuck with it, or am I… The small size hex for the quad lock is perfect for the BB, RAM, I don’t know, but from this vid, they seem to work the same, expanding segments as you screw the nut up, being that the nut and under side of the stem are wedge shaped to push the segments out in parallel. On the quad lock, if you turn the nut around such that the flat side is against the segments and not the wedge, as you tighten up the bolt, the segments splay out under the head like a tripod. On the nut end, due the the pivot angles, it pushes the segments towards the centre such that they don’t slip off the nut and becomes self locking on the final tighten, as the tighter you make it, the harder the segments bight into the thread at the nut end of business. Effectively, it becomes like a 3 leg wall plug, just like with a plaster wall. Just come back from an Alpine round trip with an iPhone 7 and a charge cable hangin off it as a road test… Rock solid!
The goods
Seat height???
Great vid and lots of cool extra,s and Gorgeous looking clean bird.i have recently bought a 2001 model and it has the same foldable anti drop levers
I think you should pull the tinted cover off at night most definitely... Thank you for the post it's been helpful to me✔️💯🏁🏁🏁🇺🇸
I'm not tall.. only 5' 8 but I must have long legs because I can flatfoot the the ol bird easily. I've had several cbr1100s with stock suspension and plates facing normal position. But I like this mod especially being all oem parts and free of course
Mine is still going fine. The bracket broke but I repaired it with a thin strip of galvanised steel (drywall rail) epoxied together.
Where do you get the risers from?
good review. Just a tip, adjust volume levels before uploading.... cheers
Very tidy Bird mate, love the well thought out mods :-). If you don't mind who sorted your seat out (the standard seat is a little too slippery for my liking)? Just recently purchased a stock 2007 Titanium / Silver Bird with low k's & really enjoying it!
Good review mate. I'm getting my first jacket and thought I should get wet weather textile gear and deciding between the 2 major Aussie brands of Rjays abs Dririder. Any advice would be appreciated.
Great video and you’ve got some fantastic mods. I’m looking at a Kaoko for my BB, as well. Can I ask what bar end you’re using for the left side, as the Kaoko comes with an integrated bar end? Thanks!
I need that yoke mount for my bb Where din you buy?
Gday mate, thank you for your comment and apologies for not responding I never got a notification that I received a comment, will have to check my settings. You’ve probably found one by now but i bought the mount on eBay. Cheers
Thanks for the great review mate it was really awesome, a lot of great information on the accessories really appreciate it! I have just bought a 2016 V-Strom 1000 it has a lot of accessories with it already but I am hoping to add some extra things to it over the next few months. Cheers, Steve from New Zealand.
How much Mileage does it give?
Nice
Nice Intro \m/
Where did you get that bar on the back that the passenger can hold on to
Don't they all come with that standard
That is a grab handle, and Brad B is correct but some owners take them off and cap the holes which gives the bike a sleek look. You can find them on eBay or at motorcycle wreckers/dismantlers. Cheers
So why don’t you show how you put the mount in???
Good question Stephen King! I will post another video to hopefully solve this for you😉
Для чего эта хрень? и правильно ли я понял что она смягчает езду по гравийки???
Sounds like a proper Superbike without the dB killers. Like the whistling/whining sound of the straight cut gears in the transmission, my CBR600F4 sounds like that.
Hey mate. I also own this bike an bought also this mount. My problem is, that the screw seems to be longer than yours and so I didn't get the mount fitted. Could you help plz? I took some photos which I can send to you if requested. Thx
Hi Dennis XX, I believe the length shouldn’t matter. As long as you can get it to grab onto the hex hole on the big nut that the Bird has it should be fine. That is if I’m understanding correctly. Hope that helps
Beefy
If you rotate the triangle plates in the opposite direction, wonder if it will jack it up a bit?
Hi Jim Biddle, given that there are also riser kits out there as well I wouldn’t think so but a good question…has anyone out there tried it??
I was in contact with the manager of "JAWS" motorcycle accessories in England not long ago. She told me how much for the polished stainless Scorpion slip-ons (end cans). I had one on my Suzuki Bandit 1250 last year and loved the look and sound. Problem is, they are certainly not cheap! Just can't see putting out approx. $1200 USD ( over 850 pounds) for them. No blue XXs here in the states. Love the factory blue ones! I currently have a 2001 red XX and a 2002 silver Bird. Ride aware!
There's no denying the Scorpions sound great, especially with the Db killers removed. They look great too. But, at about $1100-1250 shipped to the US from England ( for the all stainless steel units), they are just too damn expensive! You lose a few pounds of weight, but really gain very little if any more power. Not worth it.
Hi Steve Smith, very true! I was lucky enough to find mine on gumtree for about 450AUD in very good second hand condition...worth every penny💪😉
@@xxmotovlogs9809 That's the way to do it if you happen to find a nice pair. I sold my perfect condition single polished stainless unit ( same exact muffler (can) from my 2016 Suzuki Bandit on ebay and only got back about 1/3rd of what I paid for it.
Sounds great, do you have stock air filter? are you running a power commander?
Hi cbrblade, thanks for watching. I run a K&N filter but no power commander. Cheers👍
Most beautiful and sound 's the original
Thanks, your tutorials are pretty awful.
You shouldn’t need a gear indicator...
Your right Travis Grover, one of those things we are spoilt with these days😉
It’s true, one of my bikes is a 5 speed and I’m always grabbing the imaginary 6th. Maybe a gear indicator would be handy, haha!
You forgot about the luggage rack.
You are correct Grendel u my bad, there is another video that covers this though you can check it out below. Cheers and thanks for watching.👍 th-cam.com/video/PI-LYRjP_Us/w-d-xo.html
the folding levers are for, if you drop the bike, it should fold up and not snap off!
Beautiful bike 👍
