Gotta blame media for that and for people who only travel to the North assuming all of India is the same. But its truly so unique, so diverse so beautiful in their own ways and yess gotta say South and NorthEast are super underrated and are some of the best experiences I've had!! 🎉 Love India ❤

You landed in bit wrong side of Mangalore, there r way more stuff to explore here, clean beaches, coastal cuisines (quite different from regular indian foods), green hilly areas in nearby western ghats & yes friendly welcoming locals.

Start with banana chips and sharkkaravaratty - that brown biscuit like sweet-( sharkkara means jaggery and varatty means to coat). Then start eating rice with dal and ghee. Then divide your rice into 4 portions. Mix one portion with sambar, then with buttermilk, then with pulissery - that yellow curry you drank at the end( puli means sour - its main ingredient is curd) , then with rasam ( that brown masala tasting curry you drank in the end. Pickles are known as THODUCURRY (thoduka means to touch, just touch it with your fingure and lick). In the end the sweet juices you tasted are payasam , in hindi Kheer.. After having payasam end the sadhya with curd-( the white sour juice you drank) and rice.. Curd for digestion. Rasam for bloating and digestion, sambar mix of almost all the veggies( vitamins) , and toor dal ( proteins).Payasam - brown coloured are made of jaggery and white ones with sugar. Sadhya's curries must tickle your 5 taste buds- sweet, sour, salt, bitter and umami. The number of curries in some sandhya goes upto 64- 70-72.. , especially in AARANMULA VALLA SADHYA..The speciality of this sadhya is not only the food but if someone need curry or rice he will sing a song asking that particular curry.
