I see that this is an older video. I still must tell you an experience I had recently. I went to a beautiful wedding at a hotel. It seemed a bit disorganized, (no one seemed to know where to go or what to do at first) but the ceremony was lovely. Unfortunately, the main thing that I will remember is that I stood in line for 10-15 min only to discover that the Prime Rib was in another line. So I queued up for the Prime Rib. I waited 10-15 min for that. When I reached the front of the line, the server announced that they were "OUT" of Prime Rib, but that it would be out in 5 minutes. Do I wait another 5 min, or just come back later?. I decided to just come back. I sat down and my plate of food was cool if not cold. My friend stayed in line, but unfortunately, after she stood there for 15 more minutes with no sign of Prime Rib, she too gave up and ate even colder chicken. FYI, the rib did finally get refilled, but at that point we were filled with chicken and hated to get up during speeches and such to re-load our plates. ALL OF THIS was largely caused by the lack of signage. We were not ever informed that we could have both chicken and beef, a sign could have clued us.

Have to disagree about invitation. I handmade all of mine with our photo and barn doors that open an close. People have kept them on their fridge and I've gotten so many compliments for them

We are having a minimony and big reception/party and then a small blessing ceremony in my home country with all my family and friends also followed by a big party. We’ll only invite our closest family and friends for dinner since we’re paying for everything ourselves ✌️ I also like being able to spread all the excitement over multiple days

Why do you always talk about the church as if everyone gets married in one? A little more inclusivity vs. exclusivity to Christians being married in a church would be appreciated.... it feels like by this not being considered, you miss important details that would be good to mention.

I am Haitian living in America. I gave mini bottles of Kremas (a traditional Haitian alcoholic drink) as favors. As immigrants living in the states, my guests don't find that taste of home often. Guests fought for them, some guests took several, and others called me after my Honeymoon asking for theirs. Yeah they cared about the favors 🤣...

Venue size is definitely important. I was in a wedding where the guest list was only about 80 people but maybe only 60 showed. The bride and groom loved the downstairs space so much and so they wanted to use all floors of the venue space. We had the ceremony downstairs, dinner upstairs due to seated dinner needs, and then dancing downstairs, but they opened the balcony. People were all over the place and I think the most full the dance floor was maybe had 15 people. It was pretty awkward.
