    Thank you for watching. Don't forget to download the FREE "Perfect Speech Template" and let us know which item you will be removing from your wedding planning checklist?

    Thanks for the insightful video 😃 I actually looooove speeches (they are my highlight when I attend weddings because they give one a glimpse of the couple's love story through other people's eyes 🥰)

    Five stars right here! Should be required watching for all engaged couples. Big takeaway: forget the rules and do what makes you happy and will create beautiful, lasting memories. One place I differ is on the wedding speeches. The guests may not care, but the couple will cherish those memories for a lifetime because they're sentiments from the heart. When they watch their wedding video in later years it becomes even more meaningful, particularly if the speaker has since passed on. BTW: my kids loved watching my wedding video over and over, as did our parents.

    I have to disagree, invitations set the tone for the wedding.

      Yes agreed, we love stationery items as a whole but when trying to save money setting the tone can be done using free or environment friendly options x

    I loved both of the photos of the bridesmaids that "weren't matching" - they looked amazing!

    Lol, all this is so true. I was a bit shocked by the cake being mentioned. I for one care a great deal about cake....if its a mixed fruit one with plenty of rum. But find that I get disappointed if its a very plain cake. So loved the idea of the desserts table. Genius

    Agree with everything! Currently planning my own wedding, and all the things mentioned I had already decided on ;)....I prefer non traditional, making it your own

    I am Haitian living in America. I gave mini bottles of Kremas (a traditional Haitian alcoholic drink) as favors. As immigrants living in the states, my guests don't find that taste of home often. Guests fought for them, some guests took several, and others called me after my Honeymoon asking for theirs. Yeah they cared about the favors 🤣...

    For once a useful video about weddings 🤗 As I'm not from the UK some of the things are not common here in Denmark, but still lots of useful honest tips 👍

    • @theweddinggeeks
      @theweddinggeeks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Sigrid, always love hearing about how other countries do weddings. Love to hear which items are not common in Denmark?

    • @sigriddjernaes
      @sigriddjernaes 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theweddinggeeks Wedding favours aren't common here at all. I didn't know about them before going to a wedding in Italy. Most people don't throw the bouquet either. I think a few people do - influenced by British and American movies. Big bridal parties isn't the norm and therefore matching bridesmaids dresses isn't that big of a thing.
      So I wasn't planning to do any of these at my wedding coming up in a few months. But I still got some good pointers from your video 😊

    In my country guess do care about centers pices 😂😂they want them to take it home

    • @theweddinggeeks
      @theweddinggeeks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      :) Yes! We have seen this, mainly at cultural weddings. However, it is the types of flowers that guests do not care about. You can get away with using seasonal flowers to keep the cost down if centrepieces are not for you. But overall if this is something which would mean a lot to you on your wedding day GO FOR IT x

    Have to disagree about invitation. I handmade all of mine with our photo and barn doors that open an close. People have kept them on their fridge and I've gotten so many compliments for them
