CLRC x USN - Run Vlog & USS Beloit Commissioning - 23NOV2024
Come for a run with me! This weekend I ran a 5k with City Limits RC along the lakefront. I originally planned on a 12 min/mile pace without stopping, but instead averaged under an 11 min/mile and stopped to watch the commissioning of the USS Beloit Littoral Combat Ship. All good and fun, made for a cool finish!

So are you saying that the 24-105 lense would fit Into the canon R10 EOS camera ?
@@ciaraboyle30 it most certainly does! That's the camera it's on in the video. The RF and RF-S lenses both fit the EOS R bodies.
@Accounting4Cycling okay. Thank you very much. Very pleased to know that.
Have you ever had a cycling jersey damaged by them yet?
I have not, and I have accidently yanked my jersey off without taking the BibSnaps off! The bib ripped, the jersey did not! I had done that before with safety pins and the safety pins sliced straight through the fabric, but "saved" the bib.
@Accounting4Cycling Thanks..

Where is the LED cable cord? My LED aren’t turning on
There should be a thin cable with a 3 or 4 pin rectangular head at the end, it may have shaken loose in transit. If that's the case, you just have to plug it back in and it should be back up and glowing!
no you curved one side only
@@AlanZags it can do that! It's great!
What’s the 300x all about all I can find is the ac model
@WalterTheBalter this is much more in line with the C300, but they're all very similar in their core. Both the C300X and C300 (or "AC") can be used as AC UPS backups and have AC outlets on the front. The C300X comes with the shoulder strap for carrying, the C300 (AC) can have it as an accessory. The DC version has USB-C in place of the AC outlets. Thanks for watching!

It’s not a gaming laptop, sir
The RTX 4060 and a 2TB ssd is definitely a beast of a work laptop! I use my as a mobile editing workstation. It is most certainly NOT a gaming laptop, however, you can do some gaming on it! It's nice to be able to have a good "do-it-all" that rig that doesn't look and sound like a spaceship, unlike my Alienware x17r1! 😅
I sue my pen RTX 4060. 32gb I upgraded the ssd to. 2tb
This is my work laptop. It’s the best of 2024.
How long are the individual keys?
so you plugged it up to a 200w solar panel. Is that ok? I thought you could only use a 100w panel with this power station. Sorry i would really like to know since i have one of these coming in the mail and am debating whether to get a solar panel or not.
@chrisb0803 Longterm, it's not recommended as you can burn out the inverter if too much power comes through, short term has been fine, though. I also usually have a battery bank charging off the 60w USB-C on the panel, too. So it's not getting close to the full 200, it also likely would cap out closer to 150 from an efficiency standpoint. I would recommend sticking to a 100w panel like Anker does, though, to each their own.
crazy noise going on the doors 🤔
HOW DID YOU SET IT UP?? I cant get mine to work on windows 11
You should just be able to plug it into a USB 2 or higher port and it should be recognized by your computer. If that doesn't work, you may want to have your computer scan for new devices and/or try another USB port. Thanks for watching!
@@Accounting4Cycling sorry for getting so worked up btw 😅 I eventually disabled my default webcam and now it automatically uses the go cam as long as it’s plugged in
So I know it's been a year sense this came out but do you know if you can't put a 4070 into this pc?
Yeah, if you want to put a 4070 into the machine, it should work just fine. Just make sure the power supply has enough juice for whichever card you decide on, but you might not be able to use the GPU bracket (it comes off with a few screws). The case is massive and should support most cards. Thanks for watching!
what if i have a separate USB mic and i don't want to use the webcam mic? do I just mute the webcam mic in my OBS before I record?
That's what I do! I have a Shure MV7x on a boom arm that I use at my desk, or I use a lot of headsets for calls. I also have wireless lavalier mics that are all setup in OBS. I rarely have the webcam mic on, it's there for show and a backup. 😅
@@Accounting4Cycling Thank you!
cpu liquid cooler Is there a high probability of water leakage?
With AIOs there's an incredibly low risk of a leakage coming from the system, but it is still a risk. Gigabyte claims there was a capacitor that just decided it's time was up and the new CPU might've triggered it to finally pop. No harm, no foul. They repaired it and sent it back, the board has been running like a champ with the new CPU for the last year! Thanks for watching!
@@Accounting4Cycling I finally got the option of an air-cooled cooler
You're losing too much juice in all the length in that cord😢
Thanks for the comment! I know, it was a knee-jerk purchase, not fully knowing where I was going to keep everything. The 25-foot cable is WAY too long!
how to know if its charging
There should be a light that indicates it's charging, plus a battery symbol on the taskbar with the battery status.
You really need to read the directions before you review this 😑
Directions?!!! .. Errr! .. it's instructions!
At the time I made the video, the C300X didn't actually have real instruction. The QR code just went to Anker's general support page. lol I found out later that the C300, C300X, and C300 DC are mostly the same on the inside, just with different ports and abilities on the with AC (the DC can't be used as a UPS battery backup).
It wouldn’t be an unboxing video if he did that. Having said that, I was cringing when he kept turning and flipping the power station upside down. It clearly states in the instructions that it should never be laid on its side or worse be put upside down. Since reading that I’ve made sure I dont do this.
What a beautiful place for a run. Looks like the Pyongyang half marathon 😂 jk congrats for finishing!

@@Accounting4Cycling Yeah need to be careful with that! 😅
Thanks for the review! I have a tall desk (and I am also tragically short), so when I first tested the webcam only the top of my head was visible haha. Adjusting it lower obscurs the top of my screen a bit, but its not bad. Definitely is good for its cheap price
Thanks for watching!
The fh02 looks pretty washed out, did you try it with a grey screen? Considering it has brightness to spare, I imagine it would bring it closer to the ef11 image
@PrimalShutter I'm sure that would help. The FH02 has plenty of brightness to spare, we just usually shine it right on our living room wall as a "second TV" when there's a lot of sports on or against a sheet for outside viewing. It's an incredible complete setup! The EF-11 is excellent when you're better able to control the lighting, but still has more than enough brightness to stand out, just lacks the streaming stick in the box.
Mike 18 hours later with a microscope, "I'll be damned, it's another box!"
@karikaru there were a lot of boxes to unbox in this one!😅
The science behind the new EFS Pro formula may be spot-on, but these formula changes have important drawbacks. First, one serving requires 2 to 3 times the amount of product as the classic EFS Pro, so the scoop size is much larger than the older version and you will likely need a funnel to fill bottles - especially running vest bottles/soft flasks. Second, and more annoying, this formula does not dissolve well in water. This is especially troublesome if you use Salomon or similar soft flasks as the gooey junks get stuck in the tubing or tops. I called First Endurance about this, but they assured me this isn't a problem - believe me, it is. My answer had been to fill the bottle to about 25% with very hot water after adding the powder. Shake vigorously and the powder will dissolve. You can then add more water to cool down the contents and it works fine. Of course, this means you are starting off your effort with warm hydration liquid, only this method works if you prepare your bottles at home. Forget about mixing more EFS Pro while on a long run as it will just gum up your bottles. This new formula may look good on paper, but it's a step backward for EFS.
I completely agree on the clumping. I started noticing clumping when using FlipBelt flasks or similar oddly shaped bottles. Even in the bigger/normal shaped ones, I've started filling halfway and mixing with a little hand mixer thing. Seems to do the trick. As far as the old EFS-Pro, the scoop was smaller, but it also required three scoops for the full effectiveness (120 cal). FE is pretty open about finding the right mix for your effort: one, two, five scoops. Okay, maybe not five! I've also been on a big kick of the regular EFS, the orange flavor is just great! Thanks for watching!
I see the XMP was disabled on yours as well. Gimping the memory performance

@sreee4347 they do not. They leave a faint impression on some delicate fabrics, but it goes away with time and/or washing them. They're a staple of my race day kit!

Why not the 18-150 rfs?
I got a really good deal on the RF24-105MM as a Canon refurbished deal. I wouldn't mind checking the RF-S pens out, too, but the overlap and cost kind of rules it our for now. My new RF lens is likely going to be the RF16mm. Thanks for watching!
I'm actually selling my 18-150mm and buying 2 different lenses to replace it, because it is decent for a budget all-purpose lens, but the quality at the high and low ends suffers. At 150mm, there is noticeable vignetteing, and mild loss of sharpness. At 18mm there is also so lens distortion which im not sure exactly whats causing it, but it isnt the best. There's a reason the super expensive lenses aren't "18-150mm" it's because the more range of zoom you give a lense, the more the quality suffers. Basically, chose your battles. You can have one mediocre lense that does it all, or 2-3 great lenses that you have to swap out for different zooms.
Do you think 360mm aio liquid cooler will fit on top of the case?
@shirlyiza6207 I think so, I would suggest using a measuring tape first. Especially before buying the AIO, look up the physical length to ensure it'll fit.

Great video, thanks! I have Legion 7i Pro Gen-8 laptop with thunderbolt 4 and RTX 4080 mobile GPU. Can I use 3 4k 60Hz monitors through this dock?
Thanks for watching! You should be good with three 4k60 monitors, the only issue that might come up is with certain AMD CPUs (seems to be limited exclusively to Asus laptops with AMDs) and M1 & M2 Macbooks. I've been loving this dock and I hope you do, too!

@ali-13392 you bet! Happy to help!
Would you buy one for 700 used in good condition? Wirh 3080 and 12. i7 and 32gb Ram
@MikeDyson99 I think that's a good price! It'd be hard to find an i7-12700F and RTX 3080 for that price. Including 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a motherboard, storage, and a case is a nice bonus!
With Acer you really only pay for the name, the idle cpu temperatures in the 40 range are just not okay. I might achieve something like that in gaming and I have a 240 aio for my cpu... The case also looks simply rotten in terms of airflow. For the same price you get much more offered which also concerns a decent cooling.
would you recommend this PC? And most importantly, can the components be updated? I have serious doubts because of the low cost of this PC.
I'd recommend it, especially if you're not looking at building your own right out of the gate. The components can definitely be updated, switched out, removed, or moved into a different case if you'd like. I think this is a great all around "starter" gaming desktop. It's gets you started with a powerful CPU, GPU, and RAM combination that can handle just about everything at full settings. There's even a second m.2 for another NVMe SSD and the pre-wired SATA bays on the bottom of the case is a nice touch for upgradeability. I actually transplanted the CPU & GPU from the Orion 5000 into my main desktop editing/gaming rig, while putting my old i7-12700F and older 3070 into the Orion 5000. I even tested an i3-12100 in it out of curiosity, the i3 was obviously a massive bottleneck!😂 If you can find the updated version with a 4070, that's a cool option, but the 3070 is a solid GPU! The link in the description should bring you to the page on Amazon that has the different configurations, too. (I may earn a commission from the Amazon Affiliate links)
@@Accounting4Cycling omg thank you very much for responding with great detail, I was actually looking at the version with the 4070, I had doubts with the price being so low, but seeing what you told me I will opt for this PC, THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Stay away from it. In Acer pcs you can't upgrade anything because they rivet their motherboard to the case. The power supply is also only made for the case and you can never install it in a new case. The only thing you can change is the ram and possibly the ssd and HDD. Please let a professional put together a decent PC for the same price.
@sullymaster96 I mean, that just an outright lie. You can, and I have, change out every major component in this machine. Motherboard, PSU, GPU, even the case if you really want to! I literally hold up the motherboard from the 2022 Predator Orion, still in working order, btw, during this video! The 2022 Predator Orion case was sold with the old internals of my editing PC installed in it. No rivets required! The purpose of the Predator series is to be upgradable, tinkerer friendly, and possibly built in and/or built on. I get what you're trying to say, have a PC built for you because it'll be better overall, but not everyone wants to go through that. Some want a good system, still built by professionals, with an inclusive warranty, and cohesive software. Please, leave the recommendations to the professionals and refrain from broad, disparaging remarks until you've at least watched the video enough to make an informed comment. Thank you for watching!
@@Accounting4Cycling Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the new series from Acer, I had the Orion 3000 at the time and the motherboard was an Acer creation, so you couldn't detach it from the case because it was glued so hard that you would have destroyed it when you removed it, the power supply was from a no-name brand that nobody knows and was designed for 500 watts, which would have been far too little for the system. Just because they have changed a few things now .... doesn't change the fact that Acer builds poorly thought-out PCs that are simply miserable in terms of cooling and you just get more performance out of it for the same money, as I said.
How do I replace the lamp on it ?
How long did it take for the chain wax to melt? And how long did you have to soak?
It was about 25-30 minutes for the wax to fully melt. I'm sure if you were to stir it a bit that the wax would melt faster. The soaking of the chain was about a roughly half hour process that was two (I think) 10-minute "agitate then soak" sessions at max temp, one while it drops to 75C, and then hang dry for about an hour. SILCA has a FAQ that I used along with the instructions on the back of the StripChip packaging. Both are extremely helpful and found here: alnk.to/aLITBod
How can I connect it to laptop?
@naheel3948 you would connect the projectors' HDMI input to the laptop's video out (HDMI, DP, USB-C DP). You would have to disconnect the steaming stick, but all HDMI devices should just plug into the projector. You may have to select what to do with it on your laptop; i.e. extend, mirror, show only on 1 or 2, etc, in display settings
i need help i bought this and for some reason its like reverted or something im not sure why its doing it
In most cases, you should be able to invert the image in the streaming or video call app. It's usually in the settings and can just be checked, but you should also be able to activate this in Logi Tune. Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately I couldn't connect the pendrive to it. 😢😢😢
@Andersonsilva-lr1pb the USB dongle that came with it ir a separate USB drive? The port is mostly for power and servicing. Thanks for watching!
@@Accounting4Cycling I'm referring to the USB input that doesn't accept a pen drive. If you have a movie on the pen drive, you won't be able to connect it to the projector.
@Andersonsilva-lr1pb you'd have to either send it through a PC or another HDMI compatible device that can play it. USB-A for power only is becoming more common on a lot of "smart" devices, this is one of those.
Is it upgradable? Want to be able to swap gpu maybe cpu in the future and am wondering if motherboard too i took a look at the back the cutout doesn’t seen to fit any aftermarket motherboard
It definitely is upgradeable! CPU for sure! (see the livestream where I actually downgrade the PO5000 and find out my main MB is shot) GPU definitely can, too, but you may not be able to get the overkill GPU bracket to connect to the new one. The motherboard layout is a standard ATX, so it should work, you just might have to make sure all cooler parts and such are installed prior to mounting in the case. You'll also have a useless m.2 mount on the right side for the no longer aimed off the MB second m.2 slot, probably.
The level of clarity and how cheap a big 4 k tv are these days it makes no sense to buy a projector. Maybe 10 years ago. For 1500$ you could get a large 4 k tv that will knock your sox off 😊
I completely get that argument, and in most daily use cases, that's true. The big win for a projector is when you want the cinematic experience (larger than life size) in a small package, or just something that is more portable and still able to throw a truly massive image! Ours gets used for a second screen shot onto the wall in the living room during busy sporting times (like the Olympics 😎). The ability to store this "second screen" in a closet or anywhere I can put something the size of a textbook is something you just can't do with a cheap 4k TV. My Epson EF-11 is more permanently placed next to my indoor bike trainer, but I use it more frequently as an extreme sized, space saving display for everyday viewing and for use with Zwift, picture quality against a 4k TV isn't the biggest draw for those. Our living room has a LG 65" 4k TV as the primary display, but sometimes you just want to have a second 200" screen next to it! Also, for $1500, you could get an unbelievable 4k projector that will not only knock you socks off, but you'd be able to watch the Sox in an image size as though you're at the ballpark!
10 Giga BITS* per second hahaha
Yes, thank you!
Thanks for the video man! I was looking at the exact same Wax melter as it looks much faster than a crockpot. Appreciate you showing the full process, very useful! Any update on the chain? Works smooth and well?
Glad I could help! It was ultra smooth, just make sure to shift through the gears a few times in a place where it'll be easy to clean the excess dry wax spray. I put my vacuum through a good workout! 😅 Thanks for watching!
18-150 my choice ❤
mine too
Hey Great video, i am looking at getting the 4070ti model with the 13700f at a good price but was wondering how the noise of the system you reviewed was when closed up. Got rid of my old desktop a year ago for a laptop with a dedicated GPU which is a lot quiter so want to make sure this does not produce a lot of noise.
@naveensarvananthan5875 I mean, the fans are noisy. Acer doesn't have quiet fans down yet, but you can swap them at a later time for a pretty low cost. Very interesting you found a laptop to be quiet, this will be more background wirring, vs flight deck of an aircraft carrier (gaming laptop) with much better performance.
My CPU temp seems to be running a little hot at times. The fans will ramp up and down continuously. I honestly don’t mind spending money to put something else, but not sure what would be compatible?
I believe the motherboard is just using a standard Intel LGA 1700 cooler mount (at least 12-14th gen mount). The case is definitely wide enough to allow for a larger air coolers and the fan mounts in front and top should allow for a 240-280mm water cooler. In a different system I have, I swapped the tiny Intel stock cooler (much smaller than the Acer one, which I believe is made by Cooler Master) with an ARTIC Freezer 34 Duo. It's reasonably priced (~US$50) and very quiet, but I've also heard excellent things about the Noctua NH-D15 (US$120) for keeping even the hottest CPUs cool! GamersNexus has a lot of detailed videos on almost any cooler you can imagine, too. In my main editing & gaming rig, which is where the 13700F & RTX 3070 were transplanted, I use a Razer Hanbo 240mm AIO liquid cooler. It's a fine cooler, but a little on the pricier end and held hostage by Razer Synapse. Prior to being sent the Hanbo, I was looking into the Corsair H100 and the NZXT Kraken 240mm AIOs.
@@Accounting4Cycling Thanks for responding again bro! I really appreciate your time. I found a Noctua NH-U12A that I think I am going to get. How hard is it to replace the cooler though? Would I have to pull out the motherboard? I am a newbie lol, but feel confident I can figure it out with right direction!
It's not too bad, the back panel of the case comes off to help make it even easier. No need to remove the motherboard for most cooler installs, big thing to remember is to reapply thermal paste with the new cooler (unless it comes with some on it, some do) and make sure to be grounded with some kind of anti-static device. I did a livestream of extracting the CPU out of the Predator Orion, not really helpful for installing a cooler in that system, but there are tons of tutorials out there, it's how I learned how to do it, too! Good luck!
Receivable: There are better devices on the market. Garmin has only been available in Europe for 2 months now I had hope for Garmin BPM index, but they are 100 years behind the times. 1- Bad app often does not recognize a device automatically. 2- Index 2 scale also works poorly, 2 KG is off. 3- Garmin Watch Venu 2 Music is off again with a temperature of 4 degrees. 4 Index BPM Is a joke, Big headline with info instead of flat. - Buying batteries is as old or dated as 2023 to 2024, There are better devices like the ones I use, where the built-in battery is charged via USB C. is cheaper than buying 4x Duracel Battery. - BPM Far too expensive 200 Euro including VAT. Feel cheap material. I have already received a refund for everything sent back 2 months ago. This is Garmin Fisaco Joke. I really expected it to be better than the rest, and much flatter so you can carry it on the go for walktrail bike trail and take a break every 30 minutes and measure. I also expected that there would be an option for 24 hour measurement. every 10 minutes. active as during sleep. This is where Garmin and, for that matter, all other brands, miss the mark again. Missed opportunity. Also indicate Activity in a BPM such as Walk, BIke, Sleep, sport, work, as modes so that you have a better overview of the activity of the 24 hours. I expected Garmin to be able to do this just like watch BPN index. unfortunately peanut butter
