We are Merlin and Jeffrey.
We are a young couple from the Netherlands who have decided to quit everything and move to Australia.
This was not an easy choice, but we are very happy that we went ahead.
Every Wednesday at 1:00 AM we post a vlog to show what we have experienced.

We zijn een jong stel uit Nederland die hebben besloten alles op te zeggen en te verhuizen naar Australië.
Dit was geen makkelijke keuze, maar we zijn ontzettend blij dat we hebben doorgepakt.
Iedere dinsdag om 17:00 uur plaatsen wij een vlog om te laten zien wat we hebben meegemaakt.

What a nice message. We enjoyed it immensely and built very close bonds with people that we will never forget. Australia has definitely found a place in our hearts.

The Dutch ALL speak English FLUENTLY, pity these guys didn't do this in English.
This is because we have family members in the Netherlands of a younger age. In the Netherlands, English is only learned at a later age but is not the official spoken language. One of the main reasons to make these vlogs is to let our family and friends know what we are doing here and what we are experiencing. This is more important to us than the number of followers. For the English viewers, we take the time to add subtitles. If you don't like watching that, there are enough English language travel vlogs from others that you can watch.
@@MerlinandJeffrey The ONE thing about the Dutch is their sheer arrogance and you don't dissapoint on this, I know and have had a LOT to do with the Dutch in many circumstances, nationaly they are very underwhelming.

@@MerlinandJeffrey Sorry I did not know it was your mum that I was responding to. I appologise if I sounded rude maybe thare was something lost in the google translation as I pointed out that our wildlife is not considered vermin they are natural creatures that have existed in this land a lot longer than we have, Overseas visitors should be aware when they come here unlike other parts of the world they are likely to encounter wildlife especially if they go wandering around in the bush at night.. Your channel is probably meant more to be a Vlog for your family and friends back home as I have an interest in watching travel channels that are put up by our foreign visitors the Utube algorthym probably just directed it towards me. When comments are in a different language it is sometimes not that easy to get the real meaning behind them so I guess I will unsubscibe and stick to a language that I know.. Enjoy the rest of your time in Australia again I appologise to your mum if she was offended by my comments..

De Butchulla, de inheemse beschermers van het eiland, geloven al lang dat De Pinnacles een heilige plek voor vrouwen is. Net zoals bij veel heilige plekken in Australië, is de toegang tot dergelijke locaties beperkt op basis van culturele gebruiken. Hoewel mannen en toeristen de Pinnacles van een afstand kunnen bekijken, is directe toegang traditioneel gereserveerd voor vrouwen, omdat het een speciale spirituele betekenis heeft in de Butchulla-cultuur. Deze traditie komt overeen met het bredere respect voor inheemse gebruiken en inspanningen om cultureel erfgoed te behouden. Bezoekers worden aangemoedigd om rekening te houden met deze gebruiken bij een bezoek aan K'gari.
