West Midlands-based transport enthusiast. You can find transport content I capture on my travels here; mainly railway related but I might put up other modes of transport from time to time. Not affiliated with any TOCs/railways/groups etc.

Fairbourne & Talyllyn Railway: 2nd and 3rd of July 2024
A short holiday to Tywyn in Wales allowed me to visit two railways nearby: the miniature Fairbourne Railway and the narrow gauge Talyllyn Railway.
The first railway featured is the Fairbourne Railway with a trip to Harbour View behind Manning Wardle replica 0-6-2 '759, Yeo'. I only did a single trip as I was heading to Barmouth later in the day.
The next day was a ride on the Talyllyn Railway behind Pendre Works 0-4-0 '7, Tom Rolt' on a return trip to Abergynolwyn.
Overall, a more low-key video this time as I was mainly on holiday and these railway visits were secondary. Also, the weather wasn't spectacular during the week but it stayed stable throughout.

I remember something similar happened on the EC mainline people had been standing for ages waiting to take photos of the Flying Scotsman and at the same time as it passed an up line GNER class 92 went by and about 50 people missed their shot!
