Can so relate to those delays in Houston to El Salvador…Wow, travel is a big deal and running shoes are needed in those airports…your video reminded me of the close calls we’ve had in the Houston airport too! But loved your prayer it brought tears to my eyes, Lord open the Red Sea! And it’s just what I need to pray too for the trials we often face in raining days! Ich bin an Taubheit grenzend schwerhörig seit Kindertagen. Oft habe ich angst in unbekannten Situationen, besonders, wenn ich wegen einer Untersuchung das Hörgerät beiseite legen muss. Einmal musste ich eine Untersuchung im MRT haben und die schien sich gefühlt endlos hinzuziehen, obwohl es sich nur um höchstens 15min handelte. Was habe ich gemacht ? Ich habe in Gedanken ununterbrochen den Namen Jesus gesagt und das hat mir geholfen, dass ich die Untersuchung mit mehr Ruhe durchstehen konnte.

I read this book several years ago. I love the all encompassing approach to Sacred Rest that Dr.Dalton encourages.

I am taking a one month break from my su*cide prevention org and personal su*cide grief. Going on a “Walk with Paul” tour thru 🇬🇷🇹🇷🇮🇹. I’m so weary I can’t even think how to pack. Can you believe how much God cares for such “petty” things as “Lord help me get help to pack?” This TH-cam was his answer. Thank you for doing it.

Agree, sacred rest is a state of being fulfilled and redeemed. We get filled back up when we sit with our Lord, enjoy nature and His Word, enjoy recreation and social connections, and then move forward with energy and purpose.

I like Joni but her book is not by faith it’s telling people to empty their minds which opens up a demonic realm. I’d stay away from the book. I think she had good intentions, but we can just talk to God and he hears us. We don’t have to go into some kind of a state of empty our mind that’s dangerous.

This book is so good. I came across it in a library stand where I was alone at a camp ground as I was walking with tears in my eyes, aching…. God definitely brought me to it! Such a blessing to read. I have to admit that I’ve started and put aside so many books. I have piles and piles of unfinished books that just didn’t resonate… This one I read through and felt so understood, heard, seen, answered… so many things I’d been praying about and asking God. So many unspoken things in my heart… When I opened to the first page I saw the words I had been saying and even praying over and over “I’m sick of myself”… in a place where I was so sick of the same cycles, the same habits, the same outcomes, the same ME. God has brought me a long way but I found myself continuing some of the same struggles and begging God for healing once and for all! I believe God brought me to this book to show me without any more doubt, that I’m stuck because I’m putting certain things above Him. I haven’t been FULLY choosing Him and wanting Him above a certain other thing that I want. This is a call to an elevated relationship with God, and I feel very ready and empowered and awake about that now. I’m thankful. I’m going to re-read the book because it was so full of deep perspectives and words that I so needed to read more than once.
