Can I have a video ultrasound in children
I was just told i have this. They are playing it off like its no big deal. Its a big deal right?!
I have ARSA, and mine doesn’t need surgery since I don’t have any symptoms or complications from it. My vascular surgeon said most of those don’t need relocation.
Thank you for your comments. I will work on more videos to address your questions as soon as I can.
What treatment we have for small airways malcia?broncjioles
Thanks for the video, these help me a lot with understanding our guys issues. Our ea/tef was just diagnosed with a class 1 cleft, Laryngomalacia, and Tracheomalacia.
@@ashleynb419 My pleasure - I am happy that it helped you understand the problem a little better
I want to say a huge, thank you! For this video. It made me emotional actually. Another option for us is great. My daughter has TBM she is now 4. We are trying to raise awareness and support others out there. Can we know more details about this? How long is recovery? How does this support TBM/TM children as they grow? What age can they get this? Is there an article out in regard to Tapering? I would love to read and share this amazing knowledge. Thank you hugely x
Complimenti Dottore!!!
Thanks for information. How is the treatment for adult with TBM?
Thank you for the terrific video and your commitment to these kids! My daughter is in surgery with Dr. Smithers and Hester for her PT right now. Great video!
She is 11 too so one of the “big” babies!
Yes you know your stuff but audio is fuzzy
Doctor how often do you see complete trachael rings? My son has innominate artery compression and compete trachael rings. He 2 and it's been suggested we do nothing...but I am unsure as I've never seen this in my own OR experience. His trachea at the stenosis fits a 2.5 et tube which concerns me. Thank you for this video!
Hello - I think you eluded to it, but are children who had a posterior tracheopexy potential candidates for this tapering procedure if significant collapse is still discovered on a DLB scope? Or is it more a factor of the cartilage ring shape itself needing the more “bow/D” shape than tracheal collapse in general? Thank you for these videos - they really do help give us a greater knowledge base than at least I previously held.
I came here to ask the exact same question! 😊
Rusty! Dr. Jennings, our thank yous just don’t seem like enough for everything you’ve done and continue to do to save our special babies. Thank you for sharing these videos. Issam is so interested in learning about himself through them. You’re brilliant, and we will forever be grateful for you and your team. - Issam’s family
Hi Dr. Jennings, my son Rex, had a tracheopexy and bronchoplasty on 5/17/23 by Dr. Smithers. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the life-changing surgery for our son. Thank you and your team for the legendary efforts to drastically improve the lives of children who would otherwise continue to suffer.
Absolutely my pleasure!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video and sharing it to educate us
My pleasure!
Thank you so much for this video! As someone who has finally just been diagnosed with ARSA as an adult. I see the vascular surgeon Monday and I am praying they are able to do something to help with this insane dysphasia lusoria and chest pain.
Heyy how did the visit go
Thanks for this clear explanation. My husband had double aortic arch discovered by CT scan at age 67. He was asymptomatic but needed aortic valve replacement due to aortic stenosis, just 2 valve flaps, hence the CT scan. The stenosis gave him increasing exhaustion. Double arch, aortic valve replacement and ascending aorta Dacron graft all operated on at same time. He was a long time on bypass leading to acute necrotizing pancreatitis which delayed his recovery. Today he is well but exocrine function of pancreas has stopped, endocrine function as normal for now. My thanks and admiration to all you pediatric and adult cardiac surgeons.

I am the 12th baby nationally to have undergone this as an open surgery, on 6/26/93.
Thank you!Our granddaughter is being sent for a cat scan this week after an X-ray w/contrast showed ARSA. I understand now. She’s 14 years old.
You need a better Microphone, Russell. No offence.
Wow the video literally starts after 5 minutes……but info is good 👍,thank u
I just found out by accident this year. I need relief from what it brings but im a single mom and need to be able to recover fast.
It would be very kind of you if you could explain RAA+VR ( Aberrant left subclavian) treatment. Thank you Dr Jennings again!
Do patients always need to rotate esophagus and stitch trachea to the spine? Could it be that aberrant subclavian is replanted and trachea and esophagus are fine ( no severe compression is done)? Thank you very much!
Thank you for the video! It is very useful!
Thank you very much for the explanation!
