    Firstly Ouninpohja is much more worthy of power stage that Laajavuori. Way more. Having only 2 stages on sunday is rather boring if you follow the results. Also my biggest concern is what if there is a crash. Let's say one of the restarting Rally1 crews makes a risky run for the sunday and crashes 2km before the finish. All other Rally1 crews are already on stage. Now what? What if that happens again on the second pass? Even if only one stage has to be stopped I think the sunday will be a disaster. And after all...... it is Ouninpohja we're talking about so looking back into history we might get some crashes.

      @@maximumattackrallying Why would _whole_ of Sunday go lost? Normally there's 2 ss which is run twice. Now there's one longer stage twice. There's still lot of benefits (outside of sport itself) in this years program. Don't paint devils in walls :D Rally Finland will deliver again :) Spectators will love Ouninday.

    • @maximumattackrallying
      @maximumattackrallying 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @3M46DN1M it's unlikely but possible. A spectator could be ill, a car could block the stage. There are numerous reasons why stages get cancelled and, if you only have one stage on Sunday, if anything goes wrong, it could have a major impact. The video isn't a criticism of Rally Finland, which I'm sure will be excellent as always. As I said, I am questioning the wisdom of Sunday being such a short day. Why not make Friday shorter and have Sunday night finish later? More people are off work on a Sunday, so more people could watch, both on TV/online and in person.

  • @eemilheikkila
    @eemilheikkila วันที่ผ่านมา

    It's definitely much better than last year, when we had for sunday a rather boring stage and then a Micky Mouse stage as the power stage. Now its a proper fast stage with many legendary corners and jumps. All this with the same total kilometers. Last year it was almost impossible to go watch three stages on Sunday, so from the spectator POV it's just a massive win. Also the points system makes sure the drivers go all out on Sunday. In the old system, many drivers were taking it easy on Sunday to just bring it home.

    • @HJK242
      @HJK242 วันที่ผ่านมา

      also the road in that power stage was really soft, it was completely destroyed and if you where last guy on road order, you practically had no change of scoring points

    I think you guys need to cheer up a bit, when I was growing up none of this would be available to watch unless you went, and if you can’t afford that, then it’s Autosport when it comes out! What difference would more miles on Sunday make? The WRC has made progress, but manufacturers seem to want WEC instead, madness

    • @maximumattackrallying
      @maximumattackrallying วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jonathangarbutt4682 more miles on a Sunday could make rallies easier to watch. More views = more potential fans + easier to attract sponsors. Of course there has been significant progress in terms of visibility since the old days, but that doesn't mean there is no more room for improvement. The sport and coverage should continue to be evolve - that's how you draw manufacturers away from the likes of WEC and into WRC.

  • @Andy_ATB
    @Andy_ATB วันที่ผ่านมา

    The current Promoters (and North One before them) are wedded into the Power Stage on a Sunday; so any common sense ideas aren't going to materialise. In an ideal word, Sunday would be better if it had far more mileage - and finished in late afternoon. Otherwise, why not finish on a Saturday evening? The 'one size fits all' is doing the sport no favours.....but we've known that for a while, and nothing changes.

    4:20 sundays were always bit boring as rallies have usually been largely decided at that point. I didn’t enjoy it as much this year because Red Bull have pulled the daily highlights show that paupers like me enjoy watching. A highlights show on a Tuesday night is a bit late as everybody has finished talking about it and moved on to the next race. Anybody know why Red Bull pulled the highlights as they are the promoters after all? It’s going to make following it really difficult now. Good job we have DirtFish. Also, they got rid of Jon Desborough - the voice of rallying. The new highlights package is awful. Look what happened with Formula E. The main difference is that RBR is more prone to spins from too much throttle on AWD cars. The FF is tuned stronger in RBR by default. I don't have any real life experience to make any direct arguments over realism, but I play both these games pretty competently without any great difference in technique.

    Munster's pace was a big improvement to last year. He was in P4 before the puncture and then reliability issues! Shame he ended it with a crash though

    I have to say for Munster despite crashing out I was very impressed with him compared to last year he had better pace and he was pretty consistently up there with the faster drivers.

    Ogier should automatically get a 20 second penalty at the start of the Monte Carlo rally to give someone else a chance. 🇫🇷👽

    I think we don't give Evans enough credit of how good a driver he is and how good a performance he put in at Monte this year.

      Yes he did a great job. The way he beat Fourmaux on the power stage was something we haven't always seen from him. Hopefully he can keep that form through the rest of the season

    Solberg's hairpin drift will forever remain in perpetual coolness. Well worth the penalty.

    For me was a pretty fun Monte. I don’t agree about Munster though, I think he did a pretty good job being on times in half of the stages. Yes, he did a mistake but half of the competitors did. He didn’t got away from it. For the rest, I agree. It was lovely to see Fourmaix on that rhythm from the beginning

    Evans seemed more relaxed in all the stage end videos, seemed like he was comfortable in the car, rarely seen him really get the hammer down last season. Hopefully be a positive season for him

      Absolutely. He actually looked like he was having fun. That doesn't usually happen with him😂

      @@Franko384 yeah exactly🤣. He could be 20 seconds up and at stage end he’d go “eh yeah…tricky conditions…we’ll see”. Whereas he had a smile on his face he looked like he was enjoying it as you say

    I don't mind teams carrying over their livery through multiple seasons in any racing category, not just WRC. What I do mind are those same teams hyoing up their unveiling if a "new for 202x season" livery and then showing us the same one. If they would be just like "today we are launching our new season. Here is how the car looks, these are our drivers for this season and this is our new major partner" I'd have no problem with it. But when they hyoe up a new livery a d then show us the exact same one then yes, I will complain how boring it is.

    New content is great but I’d be much happier if they would fix the garbage performance of this game. The horrible screen tearing, pop in on the replays and vegetation that clips right through the car. It’s shocking for an undemanding game that has one car on a stage. I doubt it will ever be fixed.
