Excellent! For me, being exposed to new music is what it's all about. I saw Marianne Faithfull in concert in 2002 in New York City (still have my ticket) in a smaller venue called Irving Plaza. Just fantastic. She finally got her recognition (and royalties) for Sister Morphine after a long legal battle. Good for her!

As sturdy as those 78's look, they are actually highly breakable - and those books when full weigh a lot! That Cutting Crew is quite the novelty, for sure. Thanks as always for the watch my friend!

Thanks Doug! I can't believe that Cutting Crew 12" has survived multiple moves! Those 78's I have look pretty sturdy, but also can shatter way too easily. Appreciate the watch, and have been enjoying your channel as well.

Thanks! I had fun putting this list together. I collected as many Prince 45's as I could back in the 80's - it was all about the B sides, since those tracks could not be found anywhere else for years.

I am sure my collection of 45's pales in comparison to other VC folks - I only have around 1,200, give or take. Collected them from a young age all the way up through high school. Thanks Steve! A recharge was definitely in order. Some of those old labels are pretty cool, and I will tell you that a good chunk of my 60's 45's really hold up sound wise and wear like iron. They pretty much were made for teenagers who would not take care of them (the horror!), so those pressing plants knew what they were doing! Plus, my older sister was fed up with me borrowing & playing her records all the time - ha! Sidebar - when I was on my way home I ducked into Instant Karma Records in Orleans. That definitely tracks, Bozz! Over 10k - damn! I am more in the 1.2k range, and my time frame for buying them was from around 7 years old all through my teenage years. Since jumping on the VC train I've gone back and waxed (no pun) nostalgic a bit with all those 45's I have, and I may start up again - who knows!
