Sedona Mountain Biking Trip: Chuckwagon
The views blew my mind and the rocks blew my fork. I've been visiting Sedona since I was a child and have always been in love with it's beauty. I definitely take for granted that it is so close and shoud be riding there more often. Come along with me as I ride Cuckwagon, Snake, Girdner and Mescal, but leave out Canyon of Fools due to my fork spewing oil on me and the bike. Did some more testing of the DJI Neo Drone, as well.

Testing the DJI Neo Drone Mountain Biking Hawes
มุมมอง 1.1K21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Got the cheapest little selfie drone on the market. It didn't do bad on this first run, but now that I'm I'm learning it's capabilities it's getting better on every try. I took it down half of Scorpion at Hawes, since there isn't a ton of trees and did some maneuvers with it. Pretty fun. Hoping to use it a bunch in the future. Still didn’t quite have my camera angle re-dialed for this video, bu...

Brown's Ranch XC: Mountain Biking With A Sweet Disability Exemption
มุมมอง 9614 วันที่ผ่านมา
I got a disability sticker to ride Brown's Ranch on the eMTB, so I thought I'd give it a try. Beautiful area, but a real XC/Single Speed type of riding. Wprth it to go out there every once in a while just for the views, but I did feel a little over bilked on an enduro mtb. Nice day overalll, though. I'm not loving this camera angle. A little too much leg/bike and not enough scenery. I filmed th...

Mountain Biking Hawes With Nick! Black Diamond Klunker Rider Crosses Our Path.
มุมมอง 7821 วันที่ผ่านมา
Nick and I ride Hawes and get haunted by a guy riding with no helmet, sandals etc. on a city style bike. He did all the trails we did AND came down a black diamond part of Twisted Sister. Wild. It was great to see Nick and get some mountain biking in with him. We did Twisted Sister, Big Sister, Wild Horse, Scorpion and Bush Lite and Nick did a second TS/BS loop. #yeticycles #santacruzbicycles #...

really enjoying all of these different locations (and hearing my buddy talk about random stuff) Keep em comin!!!! black diamond much respect sir! I’d need to start at white square.
Thanks, buddy. More to come!
Hail the pimp finger
What does that even mean?
Did you do this with the updated firmware?
Yes. This is the firmware for higher speeds that came out a few weeks back. I’m finding that it works even better for this application with Direction Track instead of Follow, too.
*Buen seguimiento con el Dji Neo, enhorabuena compañero ya tienes un NUEVO SUSCRIPTOR* 😉👍🏻
Thank you, my friend! More to come. I’m working on learning Spanish better, but I’m still not very conversational. Haha. Appreciate the subscription.
Nice footage! Dji neo represented!
nice

You should check out the Tyre Glider too, is the original tool that works in this way but in my opinion a way better design
Interesting. I think I saw a review where they compared the two, but I researched this and bought this quite some time ago. At least a few months and my memory is foggy. The bump on it makes it look like it might work better than the tire monkey, but man, the tire monkey just works. I was pretty impressed with this little $10 tool.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 th-cam.com/video/0p7ypIHfzs4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=V-scTjkgNxRGi7bQ
This video was clincher for me, did bit more research then and found out was on market way before tire monkey, looks like were ‘inspired’ by this tool 😂
Boy, that guy’s experience was not mine at all. I got the tire off in seconds, put the CushCore on the rim and then got the tire back on solid within a couple minutes and that was my first use of it.
Keep the videos coming dude!! \m/
Thanks, bud. Appreciate the encouragement.
I was informed the hours are strict because it's a preserve. (They are concerned it will harm the wildlife if we road at night). Can you tell me which department you called to get the exemption? BTW I run both kinds of bells. I turn the other off most of the time because it will drive you crazy
Interesting. I mean, South Mountain, Piestewa etc etc. are all preserves and you can ride there at night. Kind of a head scratcher. So, you call this department with city of Scottsdale and talk to Ruth Johnson. 480-312-4444 She’ll ask you some questions and send you an application. You fill that out and email it back with pics of your bike. You can send a pic of a disability placard or a doctor’s note, but they legally can’t actually ask you for any of that and have to trust you. I sent video of a news story about my transplant.
Oh, and I used to run the timber bell at all times. You drown it out, but it’s kind of nice without it. I got some of those cheapo Rock Brothers bells, (and have a few others lying around), now instead.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 awesome thank you for the info . I'm not sure why it's different from other locations. My best guess is maybe they have endangered species. I used to run a bear bell and I couldn't turn it off as easy. However I was thanked many times for having it. That alone was worth it. I just turn it on if I have a corner or peak coming and am concerned about blasting into someone.
@jaydub308 yeah. The always on bear bell would be rough and not many bears here. I like the sound of the timber bell. But yeah, I can sing this going into blind corners and stuff.
@7:28 When I lived in Colorado that dude was riding there, too! Now truly I doubt it was the exact same model but that irreverence and pioneer spirit is unmistakable.
Pretty hardcore.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 Yep, he is indeed. He's so hard he uses his legs to propel the bike to get around, instead of his thumb
How dare you be all pleasant and greet people! That's disrespectful! Haha jk people are wild
Haha!
@ButlerDoesIt76 happy thanksgiving bud. Thanks for the vid
Same to you!
The guy in the city bike with sandals and no helmet is the biggest bad-ass out there! Living his best life.
Yeah! It’s wild, man. Coming down black diamonds like that. I would never ride without a helmet and risk TBI and I smash my toes into rocks all the time and need that protection, so I’m not sure how he’s doing this unscathed. I literally fell and smashed my helmet and broke my ribs on one of the trails he was on this summer. But it’s up to him, in the long run. Pretty impressive.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 My theory on this: Since he has no protection he pays a lot more attention to his riding and line choice. I will bet pennies-to-dollars that he is not going full-till down the line. I can tell you that the more protection I use the more reckless and more chances I take. I like going fast so I wear lots of protection just in case. When I only wear my helmet and no pads, I slow down a lot since I do not want to go OTB.
@INABCinema yeah. He was going at a decent clip, but I didn’t see him riding downhill. He was definitely older, too. I’m knee pads and helmet at all times. I’m old and my knees are destroyed enough. Haha.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 Yeah, my knees, my shoulders, and one elbow is also destroyed from 40+ years of riding. That's why I wear a full face helmet, full pads and just got myself a full chest/back/shoulder protector. I just can't slow down. LOL
@INABCinema I feel you. I’ve got a back protector in my hydration bag and I’ve had to switch to eMTB because I’ve had a liver transplant and can’t get up the hill like I used to.
A most excellent time on excellent trails! Thank you again for showing me around Hawes!
So fun. Can’t wait to do it again. Maybe Bean Peaks around Xmas.
Dude eat some meat so your hair stops turning gray
Beautiful ride! Thanks for sharing 💪💪 the trolls will never go away. In fact the longer you do this the more advanced trolling you will experience. My best advice is to learn the game they’re playing and be better at trolling than they are. If I find a comment is drawing a negative emotional response I will take a break and put my phone down and address the comment when I can respond without being emotionally vested. 💪💪
Thanks! I don’t take much stock in trolls. It was just more to laugh about how fast it happened, as my channel has only been around like a month or two and then the people at this park not being kind correlated well with it. I’m not worried about them.
Mountain bikes don't have motors.
Mine does and it’s the only way I’ve been able to mountain bike since my liver transplant.
Wow, not a hello or nothing. I have to laugh, I do the same fu to the ones that just grimace 😅
Just keep riding, you’re doing great. Don’t let the negativity get to you, there’s still some good people around.
Oh yeah! I find it amusing. This was in an urban park and people are not nearly as kind in those areas as outlying trail systems. Rode Hawes today and everyone waved, nodded or said hello.
how is it rude, they don't have to say anything they are just doing what they want, they don't have to respond.
It’s called “trail etiquette”. Common courtesy on a trail is to check on people and say hello or even “thanks” when people stop and let you through.
They probably couldn't hear u your very quiet
They could hear me.
It's an inspiration to hear about the weight loss. Hearing you say everything has become easier since dropping it makes all the sense in the world and honestly gives me more motivation to lose more, which I've needed to for a while now. Your videos have been a pleasure to watch, and the things you talk about impact people more sometimes than you'll ever know brother. Whoever the DOUCHE is that made those comments will catch a few footlongs directly to the FACE if we ever find out who it is. People behind a keyboard think they can remain anonymous - WE FIND YOU YOU SON OF BIYATTTCCHHHHHH.
Hahaha. Well, there will be plenty of more trolls. I was just surprised that it happened with like 60 subscribers, but anything political is polarizing now, even though I mentioned nothing extreme or even many real view points, beyond being on the left. Yeah, the GLP-1 drugs have really helped me. Diuretics just weren’t doing the job, but they think that the GLP-1 put them into hyperspeed. It’s nice to know that these videos appeal to more than just mountain bikers. I wasn’t really sure if that would be the case, even though I’m doing something different and kind of telling stories while I ride. I’m still trying to find my footing with getting some talking head videos together.
@ Keep doing what you’re doing & other ideas will come up as you continue, guaranteed!!! I am one of the chosen people, ACCEPT MY WORDS BUTLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Nice ride haven't been out to south mountain in ages. With regard to others I found that I have to manage my expectations. Not everyone is kind and considerate like you. Don't let that surprise you. Let the kind ones surprise you and being you a smile.
For sure. Most places here, people will at least respond, if not say hello first, but it seems to be an epidemic at South Mountain.
remember this period of time well. can't even tell you how ecstatic i was when I found out you'd gotten a match and that the transplant was successful. now stand still so I can throw a sandwich at your face
Love this! Pretty much my thoughts on voting and punk rock
Harm reduction is the name of the game. Unfortunately, most Americans don’t believe in that.
Bto it's freezing here now
It’s definitely chilly. I just did a day ride in 63 degrees and my nips are hard. Not sure what Bachman-Turner Overdrive has to do with it.
You're a good man, Butler
Appreciate the callout, Butts!
You rule. Keep up the good work.
good stuff brother!! maybe on one episode we can talk about how we financed some of our gear through a certain car wash sche------I mean……. NEVERMIND. love ya buddy.
Hahaha. I figured out whose tag this was real quick. I still have the Mesa Boogie I bought!
Butler, keeping it punk af!
Vote for the most vulnerable people in your community! Not voting is lazy selfishness masquerading as rebellion.
I appreciate you speaking up on this, Ryan. There are disappointing few folks out there this election season who are taking a pragmatic view to lessen the harm to vulnerable communities.
I felt it was important to say my piece. I’m going to promote it this morning. I keep forgetting to tell you I mentioned you near the end of my last video, too. Haha.
We got 7 kids
Damn. We probably got 50. Maybe more. Seems this neighborhood is fairly busy.
Great production on this video. Great to see you staying active.
Thanks, brother! I needed a creative outlet and being in a band full time is slightly out of my reach right now.
Great to see you on here and documenting your life. Glad our paths crossed and wonderful to see you healthy and keepin’ on!

Good job dude thanks for sharing. I haven't made it out to Hawes yet. Soon
A ton of great stuff out there all built by mountain bikers. Worth the drive!
@@ButlerDoesIt76 I'll check out. Want to go on a week day (when there's less people). I'm more of a blue/green guy.
@jaydub308 there is a great blue/green loop that I do often. Start at the Wild Horse parking lot. Take Wild Horse to Scorpion to Bush Lite back to the car. Also, the Twisted Sister/Big Sister loop is really fun. Big Sister is a dedicated Blue downhill trail and can be accessed from the Wild Horse lot, as well.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 you're awesome thank you!
@jaydub308 my pleasure!
It must be fyn have fun👍
I ride high ridge a lot on my hardtail, it's such a fun trail!
Hopefully, I can get better at it at some point. At was pretty hard for me right now.
@@ButlerDoesIt76it is a black rated trail so it's not beginner. But it's indeed one of the funnest! Top section is a bit techy but bottom section is more flowy.
@MTBWIKO for sure. I’ve been riding off and on for 35ish years, but I’m recovering from a liver transplant that set me back a LOT and I’m trying to get back to where I was and get better at the same time. Takes a lot of practice for me right now.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 glad to see you're out riding. I just started about 6 months ago and I love it. Just working on being better and faster. Getting used to different terrain.
@MTBWIKO that’s awesome. Especially if you’re already doing black diamonds on a hardtail. I’ve mostly ridden hardtails, but grew up very XC oriented. Trying to take advantage of all the travel on these big e-bikes I’m relegated to, though.
What are you riding?
Yeti 160e
Ewwwww
What’s wrong with that? Let me guess, anti-ebiker. Well, if you looked at my channel at all, I’m a recent liver transplant patient. I’ve been riding 35 plus years and had to switch after my transplant, due to my uphill cardio disappearing and being disabled.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 Don't even waist your time man. Glad an e-bike allows you to still take part in the sport we all love!
I’m sure I’ll get the e-bike haters, but I had to sell my titanium and steel hardtails to get up the hill again. I just want to get up that hill.
I've done that before 3 time's but my experience was not with a bike, i accidentally stepped on the snakes. I accidentally stepped on a rattlesnake on two different ocassions walking through brush, the third time was a copperhead. I only saw the copperhead after it was slithering away. It was dark and had my flashlight pointing in the wrong direction when I stepped on it.
Oh no! I’m assuming you didn’t get bit, which is very lucky. Usually the main cause of getting bit is stepping on them. This place is filled with snakes all summer. It popped up and hit my foot with its head. I don’t believe it was a rattler, though.
So rad!
Haters gonna hate!
Amen!
That was kind of cool - used to run that trail >20yrs ago, neat to see it re-reveal itself through the dark
Thanks! I’ll get some more sections up of this trail eventually and hopefully it won’t be 117 much longer.
