I have an idea for a run - equivalent exchange. If you take a reroll, you have to skip the next fight reward. 1 for 1 exchange. 2 rerolls, skip the next two fight rewards, etc like taking an early draw on your next paycheck

Is there ever a time when it is okay to take the upgrade over the perk in the first split door choice? It always feels like you just don't have enough money to make it worth it. Not to mention that perks tend to be better than items overall

Spiky stressball works really well, almost overpowered, with Count Clawcula (or just his paws). In nightmare mode with Annie's harpoon, picky and magic mirror you can get 20 strength on the first pick. That means the "1 damage" from a spike turns into 21 damage on the enemy which is more than enough (with 10% healing from Clawcula and another 10% from a paw) to heal the self-inflicted damage. I've even done a Clawcula run where I recycled the entire deck except for one spiky stressball.

I really wish they'd make a few changes to balance out this game. The perks with drawbacks that you've talked about before, but also just working on the scaling on later floors. It's like your character improves at a steady pace, but once you get past a certain point, enemies scale exponentially. You're guaranteed to get 2,000,000 poison stacked on you or have an enemy sprout 500,000 spikes, or you get stuck with a Squidula that heals himself for 100,000 per turn, and it's just over at that point. I think the early and midgame are usually too easy depending on the character you take, and the late game goes from fun to impossible in the space of one floor. That's something that Peglin's done a great job of. It's tough, and it gets tougher, but it doesn't just explode on you. This is still the most fun and creative game I've played in a very long time. It got me hooked on indie games again. I just think a rebalancing of the late-game floors from, say, 50 on up would make it better.

What about a wet-stone/block build on benny beaver as he is the only character with metallic block to start with? You never think of Benny beaver as a metal build, usually wood. The paws for it would be felina, scrappy, scrappy.

This is a fun little game. I was lucky that the dev sent me over a key. 4:33 the shape of each one determines where it goes ie; square = module, circle = weapons, diamond = doctrine, hex = escort

So... if you actually are running out of ideas for this game I have been thinking (I actually have, so please stop laughing) and I think two games you might like are Nimrods and Perfect Tower 2. Both start off kind of repetitive and simple, but the vast number of unlocks that totally changes the game will make the strategy part of it will grow fast and wide.

I was nearly screaming at the screen when you walked right past the scrap-collector escort ship. It would have been absolutely perfect with the Stand Your Ground upgrade.

Why is nightmare soo much easier than normal? I guess it's all the paws. It's just weird how the game has it co.pletely backwards.

Dolly with 3 Squiddy arms, two swamps and a bunch of poison fluff is a thing of beauty. She just mows 'em down.

Funny part is: Dolly is actually not the best character for a maschine gun build. She just starts with spikes and healing in her item pool, so it is just more reliable to get her online. I think Count Clawcula is the better character for maschine gun builds. Clawcula has reliable healing out of the box that scales better then what dolly has access to. Benny could also be an interesting pick, since you still have access to block through his dams. They also help with getting some strenght. On the other hand, you need to find both spikes and healing if you are using benny, so it should be tough to get the build rolling before you face the final boss.

Why did the mushroom have so many friends? Because he was a real fungi.

one that i like to do is get junk jet with the teddy bear, and deal damage with that, espicaly when you have cudline Floofington

Wow. I just tried the bombgoblin + blight + smokestack + ignition + caves combo, (added eggsplosion and egg carton as well, for that juicy 8xmult) and it's absolutely insane. Second try it came online quite early and I finished the run with over 600million! I think it was like 650 million, of which 640 million was caves. Egg cartons also turn out to synergize very nicely with the 'add to holders when rerolling' boon. ^^

This is a lot like another game I don't know the name of, but it uses boats. Also, I wouldn’t call this a bullet hell game at all. Something like Blue Revolver is more of a bullet hell game. This game is more like W.A.N.D Project where you run around for a set time while your character auto fires. Then you spend points on upgrades.
