I live really close to a lot of grocery stores that I can get to within 10-15 minutes. That is the only reason why I feel I do pretty well. I Shipt in Detroit and make on average $500-800 a week without too much effort. I would say half comes from tips and the rest from orders. If I lived far away from the main stores then I would say it wouldn’t be worth it. The area that I live in tends to tip pretty well so that definitely helps. It totally makes sense to me to not do it if the area isn’t profitable for doing it. I lost my job and that is pretty much the only reason why I am doing it right now.

so they have some new program for Lowe’s that’s supposed to let you bypass checking out by just going to the customer service and having them scan a code. I’ve done this four times now and it never works. they have had to cancel every single one. I’m not taking any lowe’s orders anymore.

There is a reason why surgeons do not scrub-up using a washcloth. And most people use that cloth multiple times. It is left in a damp and warm environment covered with cellular materials (and other less friendly materials) to fester.

I think it depends on your market..I just started in nyc. Mostly Target orders. I have many targets near me and my zone. Just doing this part time and making it work for me. No need to travel long distances for orders. Try it.

My zone doesnt have peak hours. It seems to be very inconsistent in my area. Im going to try starting when the stores open though (7 am) and see how that goes.

I’m new & they throw a lot of triple batches out there for $21 …I usually wait around for decent offers.

I've been diamond cart more times then i care to count. all it means is you get to see their crappiest orders before anyone else. I've been doing this since 2018 with 7000 plus orders. current rating is 4.99. if you want to make a set amount of money per day, you need to multi app. i am currently gold cart and the tiers really mean nothing. you still get orders no matter what. i'm not hating on Instacart. just saying the truth. worrying about tiers is a waste of time in my opinion. Instacart should simply keep the ratings as a priority. and ditch the tiers. that way people would get the best of the best according to the ratings. stop with the double and triple orders. if you don't want to tip, Instacart should initiate a $10 non refundable fee. that plus the base pay would make any order $14.00 with a limit of 15 items. no heavy items and send the pictures to the customer and Instacarts loss prevention team. some 'customers' can be shady I'll just say and leave it at that.
