Again, please ignore the date stamps. Continuing down the road after a long stop with Primrose and family. A brief appearance by Marigold and Goldie - thought I would see them later but they stayed out of sight. While the monkeys have a routine of coming to the road in the afternoon, every day is a little different - from where and when they emerge from the forest, interaction with other troops...

Thanks for all your welcoming words! I hope that you will watch and enjoy my snippets of the macaque troops that include Golden Hill Road as part of their home ranges. In the next few videos, walk with me up and down the road, see what I see as it unfolds. The perspective will be a bit different as the footage was taken with an action camera. No zoom. Very little wind noise. Also, no slow motio...

Gracias por los subtítulos! Me gusta ver y entender para aprender. Gracias!
De nada.

Thanks for sharing. I've always thought of Edith as polite and she even ask for goodies in a polite way apparently🙃. 🤓🇸🇪
I love Edith😊
@@yvonneconte3040 Me too 🤓🇸🇪
I love your videos GEM, always learn a lot. They are just too short😊. Please post more often. I like to read your observations.
Gem thank you for your time and dedication to putting these videos together for us.its a nice change of how A.M.and M.C. voice over for the commentary.yours is more like a nat geo wild.thank you!
Appreciate your comments - thanks for watching.
Hi GEM, nice to see your educational videos once more. Thank you❤
I truly enjoy your channel ❤
Glad you enjoy it! Part 3 of action camera will be posted soon.
Thank you GEM! Although I love AM, MC and JW's videos, I also really appreciate your editing style, just focused on the teaching about monkey life and their specific behaviours! No 'disturbing' music, just the monkeys, their sounds, and the facts! 🇸🇪
Glad you like them! I too love just listening and watching the monkeys (I can do this all day long!) - and trying to understand their communication, behaviour and community - i.e. their ecology. I do use some music created specifically by Jimmy Wright Jr. for the videos - his musical interpretation from what he sees and feels when watching the monkeys.
I am glad to see a direct comment in regards to the human feedings and the severe risks involved. Most people cannot comprehend the negative impact it causes. These rhesus live in the wild but are far from wild primates. They are completely desensitized to human presence which should cause pause. I cannot say I even agree with the feedings. At least take it away from the road. Too many are killed by vehicles for that very reason. Helping is hindering especially since primates are easily motivated by food.
I'm just a blonde loving the blonde monkeys 😊
Very interesting, wish it was longer.
More to come!
they really are striking looking, the Blondes
Nice to watch your vid, GEM
We have no Monkeys in Europe!😢 Just in Gibraltar on the Rock!😊 I hope i come one Day to Monkey Hill Hong-Kong, to see your beautiful Monkeys!😃
Me too
No monkeys in USA either, well except Florida, but that's 30 hr drive and they're aren't that many. Would love to go to Hong Kong, monkey hill😊
@@yvonneconte3040there are also rhesus in Beaufort, SC on Morgan Island. You cannot go there but can see them from a distance. Sadly they are being farmed for labs now as Alpha Genesis has gained control of them.
Primrose is really cute...just walked right up to you, so sure of herself...brave too! are those her chirps? adorable.
Love the insight that you give us!! 💗 Much love for sharing these videos with us all. Do you visit this particular troop often? They seem so comfortable with you, especially Primrose who just waltzed right on up lol
I've spent a lot of time just sitting with monkeys in the wild - observing and understanding their behaviour cues, and using their cues to direct my behaviour so that I don't become a stressor to them. In other words - act like them and respect their space. I was sitting on the road with the monkeys around me. Of course I'd love to think that sweet Primrose was running up to say hello to me but mum and sister were sitting behind me and she was coming to them! She certainly was curious about me though. I hope her boldness doesn't carry over to handouts from casual feeders, especially those handing out food from moving cars, with potential for accidents. As a blondie, this draws attention to her.
How sad that they would sterilize a juvenile. 😢
I really enjoyed this episode. Thank you. Primrose is so cute. ❤
Me being a great nerd of facts really enjoy the perspective you've taken with your videos. 🤓🇸🇪
Gracias por los subtitulos! 👍🩷
Thanks for sharing 😊
WELCOME!…love the new channel making 5 now on Monkey Hill! Is that Bessy @ 4:30 with a new baby? 🐒😎
Just wanted to give my feedback about this channel. Not that my opinion should in no way sway anyone else's decision. I have watched all the videos and read all the comments so far on each of them. The content is great. I really like your prospective GEM. I love learning more about the monkeys ways and life through this channel. Very informative. I of course love AM, JW and MC's channels and their content as well. But this perspective is different in that it isn't just about the babies. This one shows a lot about the adult monkeys and their behaviors. The slow motion thing is not something I am fond of but I do understand why you like it. For me, I watch on a desktop computer so I can slow the video down or speed it up. Whichever I prefer so the slow motion doesn't effect the way I view it. I look forward to more of your insight into these fabulous creatures. I just love and adore these monkeys.
I love the way you film the monkeys. So natural. Thanks.
The monkeys are definitely more relaxed in the afternoon. Also, by not feeding them, and sitting with them, they don't have a food expectation and carry on with their afternoon activities.
Primrose has nice brown eyes!❤❤❤❤❤
This was 6 years ago. Before they were spoiled during Covid. It’s good they only get snacks twice a week now. It’s sad they demand it now and cry and scream for goodies
That date is definitely wrong. Primrose was born in 2022 so this had to have been recorded last year.
Definitely not 6 yrs ago. Primrose is at least 18 mos old here. Probably filmed this year. 🐒😎
*GEM stated in her video description above :Please ignore the date stamps - they are not correct!*
Date stamps are wrong. She explains this.
GEM, thank you very much for explaining us the monkey's behaviour. Toni is such a beautiful girl, isn't she?
Yes she is , with her dark chocolate cheek hair and expressive eyes. She was a bit nervous with me sitting on the road close to her, but Mum was keeping an eye on things, peering over Toni's head. There were a number of adults and juveniles with this distinctive dark facial and forearm colouring.
Thank you for your answer. I admire you so much.
Who is this channel?
They're new and endorsed by Arroz Marisco, & Monkeys Inc
This is from 2018. Why post now?
Because they're newer channel.
It says in the Summary please ignore the date stamp.
That date is definitely wrong. Primrose was born in 2022 so this had to have been recorded last year.
This was from this year.🐒😎
Date stamp is wrong. She explains this under 'more'.
herad of your channel from arroz marisco channel with a recom3ndation like that you have me as an instant subscriber,no vetting or investigation nessary,. i look forward to learning your style and personal focus on thease wonderful primates.please dont let anyone push you off course or cause you to doubt im sure your plenty strong enoughf to do this but i want to encourage you to stick to your guns.the only way you can fail is if you quit.just never take no for an anser and if you ever need help post on your channel what's going on and if we can help we will welcome david labrousse
Hey the slow motion part of the video is great. IN my opinion the slow motion on the video makes it more entertaining. Thanks
Hi GEM, thanks for the videos...I was wondering if you could add audio to go along with your captians....I would love it.
Something to consider.
Excellent video and very informative. I like slow motion because I can see more detail. Thank you, GEM. 😊
I learned information that was new to me. Thank you. Very enjoyable.
I really appreciate your perspective.
I am enjoying your channel. Thank you.
Thank you GEM. I enjoyed this video. I do like to read and see different perspectives. Your explanations and narration are very interesting. 😊
Thanks for watching. Everyone does bring their own perspective.
I can never tell if Bossy is pregnant or just chonky around the middle.
You mean to tell me monkeys fight without human interference, or KT. How is that possible, when I am told by expolited monkey and her followers say different. They are adamant about KT and VOs causing these fights. They actually report them hoping for jail time, I am very confused😂😂😂
Never see Bossy's troop with Mangoes and bananas. Only Skull Heads troop.
Por favor, permita poner subtitulos para pasarlos a mi idioma y así poder entender. Gracias
Thanks GEM
I am sorry, I know you invest time in to your videos, but for God sake, why the slow motion? I really don't see the point. Not to mention the out of focus at moments or the fact that you are filming so fast, I get deasy.
I like the different style of video. Slow motion is kinda cool.😊
Well, I find slow-mo very helpful to study certain actions, and interesting!😊 So... not everyone have problems with the 'points'... Also, she explained in the beginning of the video about her camera being badly affected by the heat, hence the quality was somewhat affected. I appreciate GEM for sharing her knowledge and videos! 🤩
If you don’t care for the video style, don’t watch. We are blessed to have several nice people, as opposed to Cambodia, to share their videos.
Maybe this isn’t the channel for you. The rest of us enjoy the content regardless.
@@a2FlisaAgree. I like the slow-mo.
How very sad about the disfigurament due to acid attacks. 😢
Thanks GEM! Always interresting to learn more about their behaviour! 🇸🇪
So true!
The girl @ 5:32 is a member of Bossy’s troop. Looks like Hattie or at least one from her family. 🐒😎
Hello from California. U just started watching your channel. I have been watching Arroz's channel.
Did Bessy give birth already? Is that Bessy eating some bread with a little one? And that’s Holly with Bossy’s Troop.
Yes, it looks like
I think GEM filmed this last year (correct me if I'm wrong).
I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not a fan of this format. It's slowed down and it seems unnatural and robotic to me that way. No personable narrator or traits... I came from Arroz to show support but I am going to stick to Arroz. Just to say because feedback is more helpful than just clicking off.
